  1. Thanks everyone. The otis tool with a pad makes sense now, not sure why the you tube video I watch was using the pad dry and coming out with nothing, it must have been a competitors video... lol
  2. What a shame, got to see I’m in the early 80’s, one long jam session, friggin awesome. RIP
  3. I keep looking at the web site, they have many events I would love to watch, it is at the top of our list. The feet aren’t wet enough yet, sigh. Thinking spring.
  4. Ben, I have purchased items there, enjoy window shopping there also, lol.. Their range isn’t open late enough for the wife and I if we wanted to run in during the week, and I’m sure weekends there at the range is crazy.
  5. It didn’t seem like I was able to get into the slots of the star chamber with q-tips. You do not do any cleaning on the chamber other than at 2k rounds?
  6. Any wine drinkers out there? Spent a weekend with some friends, we are big wine drinkers, one buddy had a wine aerator called Aervana, Amazon sells them. Been using one now for a few months, have to say it is the best aerator I have used, dispensing a glass is like letting a bottle sit open for one hour, best part is there is no drip.
  7. I’m finding that once the wife and I get our feet wet, we will be looking to find a home to practice at.
  8. Do you use bore cleaner with the Otis tool? The video I watched, it was used dry and didn’t seem to remove much of anything.
  9. Finally put enough rounds through my AR-15 to clean it, enjoyed my first cleaning. When I got to the star chamber it turned into a small project trying to clean it with qtips, I see that Otis makes a tool for cleaning the chamber, but looks to be a gimmick, swab-it has a simple foam cleaning tool that looks like it would do the job with some hoppes bore cleaner on it. What does everyone else do to clean out the star chamber? Thanks for the advise.
  10. Took me 6 months to find a guy to hire. And all I was seeing were people who's unemployment ran out, and wanted more money than I take home a year. What you want 120k a year but have no experience, how about I start you at 16 an hour?
  11. Say the squib load doesn’t damage or deform the barrel, is it possible to remove the stuck bullet?
  12. You can grab a nice Invicta for south of $100.
  13. He didn’t leave their side after that, he was one step behind me, so when I jumped forward it gave him a clear path to her.
  14. The wife and I went to weshoot in Lakewood this afternoon, the wife wanted to get some time in with her new .22 pistol, get in the lane, get her set up and stand back while she goes through a couple of magazines, while she was in the lane shooting three renters jump in the lane next to us, they get set up and I can hear that their first language is not English (no big deal), the husband goes through a magazine and hands the pistol to the wife. She loads up a magazine takes three shots and starts to turn around with the cocked and loaded gun off safety, I start to jump forward to get in front of my wife to block her, in a split second the RO slams into the woman pushing her back into the lane and proceeds to start loudly telling her you can not turn around with the gun in you’re hand. The woman kept saying, I know, I know, so after a few minutes of the RO trying to get across to this woman, that what she was doing and how it was dangerous, decided it was better to just stand with them and more or less give them a free lesson and not let them out of his sight. When he stepped back I said thanks. Thank God for the RO.
  15. The contractor is required to have snow plow insurance, if he is a small local guy doing a few homes he may not. You can always get an estimate to repair and offer to have it repaired with him covering the cost, if he is going to repair remember he is going to send hopefully a US citizen most likely a kid with no experience with vinyl fence. I would secure the fence to get you through the winter and repair in the early spring.
  16. I have never looked at the Steinhart collection, the Ocean one in black 42mm is right up my alley. Thanks for the heads up 30cal
  17. Beautiful watch, wish I wasn’t so hard on a watch at work to wear my Breitling every day.
  18. I’m another watch guy, my work watch which I beat up pretty good is a Seiko diver automatic, I would suggest going with an automatic winder for a daily watch, the seiko has some heft to it and wears well. Have in my collection, Ebels, Raymond Weil, Tag, Breitling and Hublot classic crono. Have a Breitling Premier in my sights at the moment.
  19. Congratulations! If you find one online, some shops will hold your gun while you wait on the p2p, just call and ask.
