  1. Just above every maker that made a .22 rifle years ago offered a semi-automatic with a tubular magazine that became ostracized by NJ law years later. Savage, Ithaca, Marlin, Remington, Winchester, Browning all made some cool guns that were squirreled away when they became “illegal.”
  2. Incredible to believe, but there are still people out there who are unaware of this change.
  3. I doubt the combo is recognized by the AKC or Field Dog Stud Book yet but the Labrador/Brittany or Labany exists.
  4. New Jersey, the first state in the Union to ratify the Bill of Rights, for some odd reason doesn’t recognize the 2nd Amendment in its own State Constitution.
  5. Nice to see any breed take to the field early and be successful. More often than not it takes a while to get a finished bird dog.
  6. Not to change the topic, but I’m waiting to see how many Canadian’s turn in their “bad” guns now that Trudeau has banned them. https://www.dailywire.com/news/hardly-any-canadians-have-turned-in-their-now-outlawed-firearms-to-the-government
  7. I listened to the SC Justices review, and was surprised that they were surprised how discombobulated the process is for New York, but I highly doubt you’ll see concealed carry granted in the five Boro’s. As for New Jersey, nothing will happen in our lifetime. The time was right decades ago. You’ll never see concealed carry here except for the elite. There’s no one leading the charge that the palooka’s in Trenton fear or respect.
  8. “Public safety is our top priority.” https://www.insidernj.com/press-release/speaker-coughlin-statement-assembly-passage-gun-safety-legislation/
  9. They’re making progress on closing the “registration loophole” whatever that is: https://www.insidernj.com/press-release/vainieri-huttle-jasey-swain-bill-closing-registration-loophole-gun-owners-move-new-jersey-passes-full-assembly/
  10. Pictures of the new Rumlins are slowly popping up on the Internet and social media sites with positive comments. Gunsmith Phil Larocca has some pictures of the new 1895 on his Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/buffalodiller/?hl=en
  11. This writer is all excited over the first batch produced of .45-70’s. https://www.outdoorlife.com/guns/marlin-1895-sbl-rifle-review/
  12. Letters, rallies, phone calls have amounted to nothing in return for decades. “One million Gun owners in New Jersey”, then “400,000 more new gun owners in New Jersey” were supposed to be rallying cries to make us feel powerful but they have produced what in return? Unless you vote these folks out of office, nothing will change. There’s never a way to negotiate with them, other than individually speak for minutes at Trenton and then your time is up. In their minds. a decision has already been made. They’re just going through the motions to appease. For three decades they’ve chipped away at freedom: https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1993/03/16/new-jersey-gun-ban-survives-repeal-vote/d1814e34-f97c-4279-9e68-4fd1bd8903a5/
  13. I’ll wager he opts for any that fall under “common sense” so that he appeases the red shirts. He’ll need that fan base to help him get elected Governor.
  14. Every legally purchased handgun in New Jersey IS registered.
  15. Marlin made more than 2 million 39’s, Winchester made 600,000 9422’s. The Browning BL-22 is still in production.
