  1. What I have noticed too, is there is a difference in response between the police and the courts. Some courts more open to issuing then others. Some police more open and helpful in accepting applications then others as well. Huge mismatch. Also one should take a lot at the pollution densities of each county and the balance of one county with another county and how they rate red or green. one thing I would like to point out, is several have mentioned a green county that should be red. Green counties are green because there have been permits issued in those counties. Or at least reported as issued. Where as a red county has yet to report any permits being issued yet. Example… Salem county is reported to have a population of about 64k, 48k registered voters. Of which 31% are democrat, and 30% are Republican. However their state local senator and both local state reps for their state government are all Republican. That being said, Salem county has yet to issue a permit to carry.
  2. Has anyone her who has applied t the NJSP Woodstown (Salem County) location either received their permits, or heard anything? Only thing I have heard is that my references have been contacted and interviewed on Monday. And that there were only 4 applications ahead of mine for them to be sent to the court for final approval. Anyone heard what Salem county judges are doing? Are they issuing? Holding? Hearings? H. I submitted my application, the Officer told me that IF there was a hearing it would be via zoom. Since partially I am a non-resident applicant from Texas. I don’t know why they need to have me at the hearing. What else do they need to know.
  3. Well jus case they cash the “check” so to speak isn’t a requirement that they issue. Hey can deny. As long as they have firm grounds to stand on in the first place. One of the problems is that their is no true official law or mandate requiring them to issue or deny in any certain time frame. Not that I have been able to find anyways.
  4. Today all of my references were contacted. (All Three we’re contacted) they asked all of them the same questions. (NJSP Woodstown) They asked… If I had a temper and was known to be violent. If they were ware of any arrests. how long have they known me, and how did we meet. How much experience I had with a firearm and if I was safe. Asked if they knew if I had any other license to carry in other states. I officially applied on August the 2nd.
  5. NJSP - Woodstown, contacted all three of my references this morning. We’re not able to get a hold of two of them, but one of them will call them back. The other is out of the country for two weeks. so we will see….
  6. Applied 8/2/22 at NJSP Woodstown, fingerprints 7/19 Emailed yesterday, replied back today. Officer said there are 32 application to process, I am one of the 32 applications. There are two applications in front of me. My fingerprints were received.
  7. Just wondering if anyones been issued a permit from the Salem County Judge, ie those applications that were or were being processed by NJSP Woodstown area.
  8. Well they will find their butts sued and lose. I don’t think they will do that, or they wouldn’t have issued the order to start issuing permits. Some maybe just delaying the process, and some maybe doing as much as they can to discourage. But I think they will have issues and they know it. If you live fairly close too, or in NJ they can get away with in court reviews. They are going to be harder pressed when one is all the way from Texas. If they try to do it, I will just inform them I have been exposed to Covid and they can do a zoom, or issue, or I’ll come in with my Covid exposure.
  9. that’s a good question, especially when some NJSP are telling NON-RESIDENTS that they do zoom, and their your permit is mailed to you.
  10. Where is your home base? I think live or zoom meetings are based on your home base. The officer at Woodstown told me I would NOT have to make another trip back to NJ. That since I a, so far, the court would be done via Zoom, if needed. So that is why I am asking where your home base is.
  11. I didn’t go to a local City PD. I went to the New Jersey STATE Police barracks as required for anyone apply as a non-Resident. I did NOT submit my application via email, I had him REVIEW the application for errors, or anything lacking PRIOR to flying from Texas to New Jersey to submit in person. We both wanted to make sure I had all the required documents etc… I then submitted the application in person. Now while I have heard of Local City PD’s refusing to process application. I have NOT heard that to be the case with the New Jersey State Police doing so. Maybe I am wrong. But I doubt it. I do know one other person who submitted their application with Woodstown and they are approved now with permit in hand.
  12. I said emailed him my application to verify everything was correct. Then i turned my physical application in, in person
