I took CMJeepster and Bzerk's advice and applied via email to Pike County two days ago. I received an email back in under two hours with instructions to call and make an appointment with the Sheriff - the time frame was after March 2nd and before March 17th, to allow time for a background check. There was no fee to apply, but there is a $20 fee for the license when picked up. I assume they take your picture for the license on the spot.

I've looked for an online / email application for PA non-resident and they all say that they DO NOT / HAVE STOPPED issuing non-resident carry permits. Can you post the link you used? THANKS!!

Ocean County experience UPDATE October 12 - Submitted application and all required documentation to Lacey PD. Got a Case Number and instructions to get fingerprinted. October 24 - Got fingerprinted. December 19 - PD called to say that my package was being sent to Ocean County Superior Court that day. February 14 - Money Order still not cashed. No updates from the court. Waiting.......Waiting.....Waiting February 14 3:52 pm - Lacey PD called to say my permit is ready for pick up February 15 - Picked up my permit. Issued with No Restrictions.....126 days from application to pick up.
