  1. As far as I know the range suit is still an ongoing thing.
  2. As long as your use involved turning it off and on frequently, you could get it “stable”. When running servers, you needed to bounce them a lot depending on use. Where you travel doesn’t really mean much unless you are plugging into strange networks. Because the main threat to machines is the network and the person at the keyboard doing something stupid.
  3. Look at the technology in other areas. I suspect the net result won’t be creating super villains, but that it will allow so much more of the bureaucracy to engage in evil with less effort and skill required.
  4. Sounds like your friend needs better friends.
  5. 10 is actually stripped down at its core. Also nt bulletproof. Hehe. Right. Windows 7 was probably the best once beaten into submission, but 10 is getting there. i wouldn’t call any version of Windows bulletproof. Screen control and focus, especially during auth, has gotten weirder since vista, but most of it has to do with protecting the system from malicious code mimicking user input and protecting your auth interaction from being captured.
  6. You do realize getting gun shops opened and outdoor ranges opened was largely the result of anjrpc lawsuits. That is the state nra affiliate organization
  7. All my nines shoot 124 most accurately. Followed up by 115 and then 147. Unless your ammo or gun is fubar, accuracy at 7-10 yards should not be distinguishable. It’ll mostly be covered up by either you sucking or by bullet diameter. last time I bothered practicing that close, after the third shot or so it was time to pick a new spot on the target or just be happy with not missing the clover(ish) shaped hole.
  8. They are full of it. It might be that they can’t find a ni compliant sku anywhere though. I can find mags but not the 10 round sku in stock anyplace.
  9. The nj aw law has constructive possession in it. The state won’t know you built an other, so if the law changes and your receiver is now a rifle and you have no parts to make something illegal, I’m not sure how they would be able to tell the situation was ever otherwise.
  10. For now. The general concern for other type firearms is that the rules on them will be changed in NJ. It is very likely that such a thing could occur without involving the senate or assembly and even if it needed to that’s not really an obstacle.
  11. What's your plan for that? Because it isn't as easy as it sounds.
  12. I was thinking about this. So with this suit have we learned lessons from SCOTUS’s last case and included damages? I mean nobody has pro rated my membership dues. If any club did, no municipality has forgiven property taxes not utility bills. At a minimum the electric company bills you minimally even if you use nothing. Since it clearly has nothing to do with safety, mr Murphy needs to make us whole by restoring our rights, covering legal fees, and covering membership dues we could not benefit from. @Smokin .50
  13. FAQ says call the department you will be getting the permits from, and they in theory can press the button to resend it.

New. Used pricing is highly dependent on what revision it is. That doesn't have the cross slots, so it is a mk I or mk VII which historically go for considerably less used. As an owner of a .357 mk XIX, I will also state that the used market for .357 is considerably softer. $600 is still a great price, but not a price to flip it and double your money kind of price. Pre-panic $799 was probably a very fair price seeing as several years ago a bunch of mkVII .357s were dumped on the used market by someone at that price.
  15. Also check your junk folder. Honestly, having analyzed the emails they send, I expect them to have ever increasing deliverability issues.
  16. All it really says is some dudes tried to do a meta analysis and the data they could mooch off of was crap. Lets say a mask just reduces how far and how much cooties you spew when you sneeze. If I live with you and you sneeze 36 times a day you are probably still leaving enough of your cooties around that I'm going to come in contact with your cooties in sufficient quantity to get ill. If your cooties are long lived on a surface, then that goes from probably to definitely. The results from a study about that situation would not likely translate well to random transient contact with strangers.
  17. a safer society for my taste has fewer guns and not more guns a safer society for my taste has less freedom of speech guns and not more freedom of speech a safer society for my taste has less religion and not more religion a safer society for my taste has more warrantless searches and not less warrantless searches
  18. There's standard email retries built into the spec for email. The operator of the MTA sending the mail can set them to whatever they would like, but typically the last retry before promoting the temporary failure to permanent is within 7 days. So if your mail was broken for over a week it more than likely completely failed. At that point it would be up to whatever the exception process is in the fars process to add another contact or retry yours. IIRC there is a way to do that, but since I haven't had to do it, I don't know it off the top of my head. From the FAQ "What can I do if my reference hasn’t received the email or hasn’t submitted the feedback? top While the system sends two reminder emails to references who haven’t submitted the feedback, you can contact your municipal police department to request them to resend the email or to update the reference."
  19. I don’t disagree that there’s going to be a reality check on getting blood from a stone. That’s why you are seeing the lefty media excoriate southern states opening up while their home states are doing the exact same thing despite having a lot more infected people. The bills are coming due and they have no money. There won’t be any savings being passed on to anyone. Because there are no savings, just fiscal holes.
  20. It matters to someone. Went to a new FFL, and they did not log an AR-10 I had bought as 7.62x51 but 5.56. They had some other similar book keeping issues on used guns that passed through. They got audited and told to fix them. I got contacted by the FFL to verify info as correct. But yeah, in the end the only thing that really matters is the serial number.
  21. 1) There are certain members here who are mouth frothingly screamy about the fascism of wearing masks. Just browse more. 2) If dipshits can't wear a mask properly, the problem isn't with the mask. 3) not sure where you are going with the rest of it, but in the end people seem to have a hard time processing the notion that the options aren't "safe" and "unsafe" we will be forced to pick between bad and worse on a lot of vectors with this one.
  22. posting this again? The answer is the same as last time this was posted almost verbatim. There's likely not savings in busing unless the town owns and operates the buses as they have to pay out their contracts. There's no lunches, but both buses and lunch budget are going into the continuation of nutrition efforts. So no savings there and possibly increased expenses. They still have to pay the teachers, pay benefits, pay payroll taxes, etc. You might save some on HVAC, but it's the time of year that usually requires the least heating and cooling. You are probably also getting whacked with police OT as those who are not out sick are covering other shifts. And you will see the state and counties try to push fiscal burdens to the municipalities because property taxes are a "consistent and reliable" source of revenue.
  23. If strict scrutiny was specified I don't know that it would be followed in every court, but it would probably not make it to scotus without it being applied correctly. Willfully dismantling strict scrutiny would potentially undermine to many other rulings. I think it would be wisest to be explicit and specify a test. You will note in abusing heller, they really haven't contested that handguns are protected. Because it was explicitly stated.
