  1. I am so very sorry for you loss. They take a piece of our heart with them when they go.
  2. I heard that AmmoMan moved their warehouse out of NJ and will now ship to NJ. I checked their website and on the homepage NJ is not listed as a state that they won't ship to but on their "About Us" page NJ is included with the "won't ship to" states. I contacted AmmoMan by e-mail and got a reply that their warehouse is now in Knoxville, TN and they will, in fact, ship to NJ. They thanked me for pointing out the conflicting info and said that they would get IT to correct their "About Us" page. Does anyone know why AmmoMan moved their warehouse out of NJ but keep a NJ address and phone numbers on their contact page?
  3. The DJM range is still open. I am a member of DJM and a DJMRSO. The pistol range is still closed for renovations. It will be a while before that work is completed. The range is open weekends from noon until 4:30 PM and on Wenesday nights (until the end of September) from 6:00 PM until dusk. The trap range is open the first, second, third, and fourth Sunday of each month. The range fee for nonmembers is $25.00. The trap range fee for nonmembers is $5.00 for a round.
  4. I went 135 mph on a Honda 750 when I was 21 and had no brains. I would have gone faster but I had to shut it down because I was running out of road. I was laying on the tank and I sat up when I slowed to 85 mph and nearly got blown off of the bike.
  5. The DJM range reopened today. I know that firsthand because I had range duty today. DJM will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from noon till 4:30 PM. The rifle range, the trap range, the air rifle range, and the archery range will be open. The field archery range will NOT be open during trap shoots. Traps shoots are held on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month. The pistol range will NOT be open for several months. Steel bullet traps are being installed along with other modifications to ensure safety. Please spread the word.
  6. I am not a club officer but I am a RSO for DJM. I was told by the Chief RSO that the DJM range will reopen this weekend. I checked the website this morning and it didn't say anything about opening so I contacted the CRSO and he said that the website would be updated today. The hours of operation are 12:00 till 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. I just checked the website (1:36 pm Thursday) and it still hasn't been updated but I was told to report for range duty on Saturday. As far as I know, all ranges will be open. Check the website before you make the trip. http://www.delranjuniormarksman.com/
  7. It's gonna be a while. The club has contacted the NRA Range Technical team to inspect the range and declare it safe. There is a waiting list for this inspection. Even with a positive report from the NRA I'm not sure what the Twp. will decide. The range is currently open for air rifles and archery.
  8. I take them to the range and give them away. I never had to take any home again.
  9. Just a couple of minor corrections/additions to the above. The weekend hours are actually 12:00 till 4:30 PM. Wednesday evening hours for rifle and pistol start on May 2nd and are from 6:00 PM till dusk. Evening trap shooting begins on May 9th. There is also one 5 yard position on the pistol range. The annual membership fee is based on a 8 hour work party requirement. If you decide to forgo the work party requirement, it will cost you another $60.00 per year. A day pass is $20.00.
  10. She obviously has a real talent for crocheting. Beautiful work.
  11. I also upgraded with Bryan last year. It was a smooth and uncomplicated process. Thanks again Bryan.
  12. Prayers sent for Anthony's niece and Socom's wife. Wishing both patients a quick recovery.
  13. I am a member of DJM and I am also a DJM RSO. The hours of operation are Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 till 4:30 PM. The range is open 52 weekends a year weather permitting. Heavy snow or a hurricane is the type of weather that will cause a closure. The range is not open during the week with the exception of summer. The range is open on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM till dusk from May through September. We have trap shooting on the first, second, third and fourth Sundays of the month. Non members are always welcome. Eye and ear protection is highly recommended. Bring your own targets, ammo, staple guns, and of course, firearms. Any questions, feel free to ask.
  14. I was there a few years ago. It's definitely worth a visit.
  15. Bryan, I just checked my membership status on the NRA website and mine also says that my status is "regular annual - active" with an expiration date of 02/28/2031. My expiration date was 2012 before this change. I'll check it again in a few days to see if it changes to life member like you advised SoCalTrojanSoldier. Spokes
  16. I just received a character reference form for a handgun permit from the Cherry Hill PD. There are more questions than I remember being on the form and after all is said and done, I have to take it and have it notarized before I can send it in. I don't remember ever having to have one notarized before. Do you guys know if this is statewide now or is it just something that CHPD requires. That kinda makes it a pain in the butt. I'll do it because it is for a friend of mine but they sure are tryng to make it as difficult as possible.
  17. I have a similar Stack On safe that I bought five years ago. It does the job for me even though I know that there are better safes available. At the time I had a kid in college and funds were limited. I paid right around $500.00 for mine back then. If anyone breaks in and tries to get my guns they are going to have to work for them. I used to keep them in a closet but as I acquired more, I figured I had more to lose so I bought the sfe.
