  1. Received an email today from Front Sight. They are have a limited offer for a 2-day Defensive Handgun Course for $100...it is normally $1000. It is good for any time in the future & does not expire. It is for first time student at their facility. Anyone interested in more details, Email me & I will forward you the email I got from them.
  2. SCFGPA is in Bridgewater. Good for handguns. Nice range for practice. Does have IDPA monthly. http://www.scfgpa.org/index.html Citizens Rifle & Revolver Club (CRRC) located in Princeton Junction. Not a member, dont know much about it other than a little pricey, full registration..only a waiting list available. http://www.crrc.org/crrc.htm
  3. Good Idea. Done. Really need to make the map larger though.

  5. how often do they update the manuals? For most, its yearly. you can never have too many manuals. they will all get utilized
  6. Anyone know of cabinet liquadators/ closeouts etc ? I am looking for a 15'' wide kitchen cabinet base. Want to mount a drill press on it and add wheels to it for portability & hideability. Nothing fancy, dont care about scratches or anything. Seen a new model in Home Depot for about $100...think I can do beter.
  7. 231 & titegroup for 9mm & 45acp....mostly 231 though. H335 for my AR
  8. Montana Gold or Zero for FMJ, CMJ or JHP's http://www.montanagoldbullet.com/ http://www.rozedist.com/ Missouri for lead http://www.missouribullet.com/index.php just my .02
  9. Wow...you guys shy? 375 members and only 2 instuctors?
  10. A NRA First Steps or Basic Pistol class you will get a certficate of completion. That can be used for a FL CCW. However, a pistol defensive class should be attended as well for a CCW. They are very much 2 different types of instruction.
  11. Can we start a sticky of NRA Certified Instructors. New shooters are always looking for instruction. Maybe instructors can pool their resources together to hold classes, team up and become a training group. Different counties of the state can have a different group of instructors & different disciplines. Cover the needs of the state so to speak State your discipline(s), location, lesson schedules etc.
  12. Some suggestions please. Applied for 4 Permits tonight. Already have a Glock 19, XD45, Browning Buckmark Contour, S&W 22A, Colt HBAR, Custom 10/22 & a Ruger 77 22lr Really feel I need a 1911 of some sort. Dont want a $2000 one. Most of the fun in a 1911 is to "customize" it. So probably a GI version. So a 1911 is next on my list. I have heard everyone should own a Sig...so maybe. How about a S&W M&P? what caliber? Should have a wheel gun as well, right? But then again...I do have a sight installation tool for Glocks. It needs to be put to work. Decisions, decisions. Now, I have figure out how to pay for them :?: PS....Vinny, I will be in touch with you!!!
  13. I orderd 2100 rounds of Federal Champion 22LR back in March from Cabela's. Backordered. After 6 emails informing me of 6 different possible shipping dates, they sent me an email on monday telling me it has been shipped. With a tracking # Finally
  14. I have been using a Lee Classic Turret Press for about 9 months now. Thats what I tought myself on. I have been loading 9mm, 45acp & just recently .223. Would glady recommend it for your first press. There are a few quirks with it...but I am sure you will have quirks with any brand. For the price & durability...you cant beat it. Its in the middle of a single stage & a progressive. I have 2 turrets with seperate 9mm Lee dies & 2 turrets with seperate 45 acp Lee dies. It makes it easier for me when I switch bullets. No adjusting dies. Cheap enough for each setup. I have a Pacesetter setup for my .223. I also just bought a Lee Challenger Breech lock single stage. I use that to deprime/decap the .223 in a seperate operation from my sizing die. With the quick change bushings its easy enoughto use it for bullet pulling & stuck case removal. just my .02
  15. How about a newbie deer hunt trip? I too have wanted to experience a deer hunt. Not in NJ though, shotgun only in NJ right? Maybe in NY or PA. With enough people we can rent a private parcel to hunt on.
  16. +100 ...in any state +100. accidents & stupid drivers happen 24/7. No cause for drawing his firearm in a self defense situation. Lets say the driver moved a few inches or a few feet..and the moron fired.2 lives ruined. Its a BIG responsibility to have a CCW(did he even have a CCW?) Not everybody should own a firearm. That guy should do jail time for his STUPIDITY. Just more reason for the anti gun people to create a commotion.
  17. Would it really matter? Its stupid behavior like that ruins it for all.
  18. I am still interested in the class. Willing to provide some assistance if needed.
  19. I have seen them in stock at the Brunswick location RT18 & at Hillsborough RT 206. Centurion Line made by Liberty CN20-PK, $697 has a S&G lock, 30 min fire rating, 13 CF interior space with adjustable shelves. Not too bad for "starter" safe

  21. Unless it's the Democrat Legislators being held up, it wont do any good....hell let's be realistic even if it WAS the Legislators being robbed, they would just scream for State Police Protection details. The safety of the peons doesnt matter to the politicians. Lets just call it

    Changing the sights

I changed my Glock sights myself. Did buy a sight tool though. The front has a hole & it is screwed in with a small nut. The rear I tried the best of my ability to center it. I bought the tool because I eventually plan on getting additional Glocks. Besides tools are always good to have. Cant say if it is perfectly zero'ed without a Ransom Rest, but it does shoot where I want it to. Where in Jersey are you? Did you buy night sights yet?
