  1. I think a sticky of criminal acts/home evasions would be a good idea. After all we do have an election coming up. Maybe that will help reinforce the right for CCW and Castle Doctrine in New Jersey. just my .2
  2. I ordered 2 last night from here. http://www.pri-mounts.com/mm5/merchant. ... 15_M16_ACC] Just wanted to ''test the waters'' for now, so only 2. I will report back on how long it takes to get them & how they perform.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you aboard. CCW? Lots of luck. You do remember you live in Jersey right?
  4. Any new developements on a hands on reloading class. Seems that a lot of people are interested in a class. If it helps, I have a Lee Classic Turret press mounted on a retrofitted workmate. It is portable so if needed for the class...no problem.
  5. SCFGPA here. Soon to be a member of Ft Dix & Easton as well. Occasionally shoot at Cherry Ridge because I have volunteered there.
  6. Wow, pretty surprised only one response. Thought this would have been a good topic to discuss.
  7. How do you guys practice at the range? Do you have a plan that you stick by or do you just load up & fire away? One handgun, several handguns each visit? Same distances? Different distances for different calibers/firearms? Looking to get better groups,to be more accurate & consistant. Last week I had a phenomenal session. Hitting everything I wanted with both 9mm & 45acp from approx 32 meters. Last night I wished I had stayed home.
  8. By the way...whats the spent brass policy at Fort Dix & Easton
  9. Thanks Chad. Going to try to make it out there next weekend
  10. can you shoot the same day you are joining?
  11. Thanks to all of you have made suggestions. I have come to a conclusion...a simple conclusion at that. going to join both Fort Dix & Easton ranges. Fort Dix because paper can get boring after a while. You know hard boiled eggs, watermelons, oranges etc. How do you become a member at Fort Dix? No online application? Easton for being closer to me. Already sent in the application for both my wife and I. I figured a year ago to get her involved...it lets me buy more toys Cant go wrong at both of those membership fees. Will certainly have to stock up on more ammo.
  12. Sounds pretty cheap for all that. Surprised you found primers there. Did they have more primers in stock?
  13. Really? You can shoot stuff like that there? Cool. Do they have bench rests/ benches? Do they have target stands?
  14. You make great points there Chad. I might just have to give it a shot...(no pun intended) I did notice that the range closes at 4pm on the weekends, that is a bummer.
  15. Thats where I am a member. The 100 yd rifle range is 2 underground ports. About a 2 foot diameter "pipe'. Its like shooting through a sewer drain. Really cant get into shooting from dowm there. It smells. You can actually feel & hear the percussion blast. For me, its very difficult to focus down on the other of the pipe. I wish I could describe it better. Just know...its not for me.
  16. Wow, 4 stores. Doesnt it suck that Jersey stores dont feel that reloading supplies would be profitable for them. Its probably been around the longest....except for prostitution The internet is great for shopping, but sometimes nothing takes the place for personal interaction...you know what I mean? I guess I'll keep going to Tanners & Target World in PA
  17. Seems like a nice range. A lot of activities. Not overly expensive...but its in Howel. Kind of a ride for me...I am Bridgewater. Cherry Ridge is a nice set up. A lot of rules. A lot of activities, but also a drive for me. So hard to shoot rifle I guess.
  18. Through a tube? Thats kind of Somerset. We have 2 underground 100 yd Pipes to shoot from. Reminds me of a sewer drainage system. Just cant get into shooting through that. 5 rounds limit? Sounds like a field trip for a boy scouts troop....Thats insane 5 rounds. Worse than the Republic of Jersey's laws. Thanks for the heads up
  19. Hello All, Any suggestions for a range that a rookie rifleman can hone his skill? Not looking to take a 2nd mortage for membership fees, if you know what I mean. 50-100 yards would be fine. Was thinking about Citizens' Rifle & Revolver. Any input on that range? Anyone a member? Need 2 sponsors if I want to join.
  20. Anbody else know of retailers in NJ that carry reloading supplies?
  21. Care to share who & where he is?
  22. Hi Mitch Welcome to our little neighborhood. I sent you a PM
  23. Hi Guys, Where do you reloaders go for powder & primer? You shop online or do you go to NJ/PA stores for your supplies. Since Ray's has closed, I really dont know who in Jersey stocks powders and such. Can anyone provide some places that I can go to today?
