  1. Aftermath of house fire in Philadelphia.
  2. Non scumbag recently moved to PA. Got my PA drivers license and applied at the local Sheriffs office, which is Allentown, Lehigh County. They said it can take up to 45 days to get my LTCF. Guess Allentown is a bit different.
  3. I guess that info would have helped. Its http://www.theakforum.net/ http://www.theakforum.net/
  4. I havent looked in a while, but look over at ar15.com under the AK build it yourself forum, or in the PA hometown forum. You may also want to look over at thats the best AK site out there. If you dont see any, you might want to post asking about one.
  5. back when parts kits came with the original barrel and sold for $100+/- it made more sense to buy the jigs and build your own. There are some places that will rent or load tools and jigs. Best to find an AK build party and attend that. Everyone brings something and all the tools will be available to use.
  6. And the mags have really gone up too. For a while there you could get them for $10-$15ish. Now they are $40 and up.
  7. I have an old one built in Coney Island and it works great. You can buy them from Shooting Star, but you have to buy the whole set up with guns, trailer, compressor etc. Its not a cheap investment. Ive hooked it up to my pancake compressor and it works with less than 100psi. The shot is an odd size, but they sell all the supplies you would need such as targets, loading tubes and of course shot. If you do buy an older single gun, Shooting Star will service it. Also, I am no longer a NJ resident, and this bb gun is in PA.
  8. Ive already left too. Sold the house (took 5 days) and im in PA now. Renting an apt for now and house hunting. Im in the Lehigh Valley area.
  9. I've wondered about the "below the action" for the pistol grip on a 1919a4. It's mounted to the back of the receiver, but does hang below the bottom of the receiver. Any ideas or opinions? For all they are worth.
  10. Just sold my house in NJ...Its in attorney review now, and the closing date is August 1st. Already have an apt in PA, and looking for a house there now.
  11. I used to watch that show as a kid. Saw him live once...must have been in the mid to late 80's. Still have my Snap It Pal Bines Boy shirt, and a 45 of Deep in the Heart of Jersey. His brother Jimmy Vivino is in the Conan oBrien band..
  12. There are some people who can/have opened up the mag well and made these into a double stack rifle. Most of the AKs out there are imported as low caps and converted by Century, etc.
  13. Armslist seems especially bad with scams.
  14. Im not sure if I still have them. I did post a tutorial on ArfCom years ago. Let me see if I can find it again.
  15. I have cut down standard capacity AK mags (all work was done in PA), to hold 15 rounds or less, then used a dremil and vice to bend new lips on the bottom of the mag to hold the regular base plate. It can be taken apart like a regular mag, and would be very difficult to make it hold more without the addition of another mag body. I dont see how that wouldnt be considered permanently altered.
  16. OK...MANY of them do not have a shoulder stock. The 1919a6 with a shoulder stock is not a common config. There are many others that do not have a shoulder stock such as the Maxim, Vickers, SG-43 Goryunov and a bunch of other tripod mounted guns.
  17. First is a 1919 with spade grips and a flash hider. The FH is the evil feature as there is no pistol grip. The second one is a 1917a1 water cooled. Both are in 7.62x51
  18. Yes...belt feds are Nj legal...ask me how I know..... Neat thing is they are firearms...not rifles, which are meant to be fired from the shoulder, and certainly not a handgun...that's obvious....they still transfer like a rifle however.
  19. There have been some reports of double strikes with the single hook triggers, and Ive seen doubling from bench firing. Its a form of bump firing.
  20. Nothing on the AK is all that hard to put back together.
  21. There have been some rumors of Zastava M91 rifles being available in the near future. They are similar but way more sought after than the PSL.
  22. Was driving on the BQE in Brooklyn recently....Its not all that well lit in areas and hit a few huge pot holes in a row....not 100 feet ahead of this, I see no less than 8 or 10 cars all pulled over to the side,,,flashers on etc...all with flat tires.
  23. Figured Id share this... http://www.bulkammo.com/rifle/bulk-.223-ammo#contest
