  1. Nope. It can go back to the previous classification. The proper term is "first a rifle, always a rifle".
  2. Repair or replacement of a firearm to the original owner requires neither a 4473 or a NICS check. Of course, NJ will require a new Permit if the serial number is different.
  3. Definitely against Federal Law to do so using USPS, and against FedEx and UPS policy.
  4. You just have to save the shipping info and any correspondence you have with the receiving dealer. BTW, you can only ship a long gun using USPS. FedEx and UPS have stopped shipping for non-licensees. IMO, your best option is to use a dealer to ship any firearm.
  5. If the back log was cleared, the NICS check should be instant.
  6. Am I to understand that one can not walk out with a firearm from a NJ Dealer the same day, or are we talking about pending/delay statuses?
  7. Next time, lock the slide back and rip the mag out.
  8. Recall by one retailer. Kudos to them. The manufacturer should do the recall, but they made their money. Time to close shop and hide.
  9. Is that an NFA quote? IMO, it is different than GCA rules. Neither a pistol, other, nor a non-NFA were originally a rifle. I always was guided by, "first a rifle, always a rifle". A pistol (not sure about others) can be built into a rifle then back to it's original classification. IMO, it will be years if the rule is overturned. Right now, I am waiting on 5 Form 1s, and will do more the end of May if there is no movement in the courts. My NJ resident brother added a 5" brake and stock to his Troy.
  10. So ... No passing score, just a pass/fail grade at the instructor's discretion.

See. Minimal recoil. They advertise it as a pistol, but the barrel is over 16" and it comes with an aluminum stock.

The Scout Scope gives enough relief to be able to extend my arms fully out with elbows locked. In theory, it should have less recoil than the longer barreled version as the powder will be burning after the bullet exits the barrel.

I put in a cushion grip and scout scope as a precaution.

    Got my Noreen ULR today.
  16. Implications on Classifications Previous ATF classifications involving “stabilizing brace” attachments for firearms are superseded and considered null and void as of January 31, 2023. Firearms with such attachments may be submitted to ATF for re-classification.
  17. STRANGE QUOTES FROM THE ARTICLE > "six useful hollow point cartridges," "I was not aware of Mexican law and had no intention of bringing a handgun into Mexico." How did he get to Mexico with it?
  18. Agreed. The receiver could even say Pistol Only and it would not matter. To further explain, a dealer's A&D book would indicate what the actual firearm was, ie > HANDGUN = Pistol, Revolver, Derringer, etc. LONG GUN = Rifle, Shotgun, BB Gun (nj), Pellet Gun (nj), Muzzleloader (nj), etc. OTHER = Receiver, Frame, Pistol-Grip Firearm, Non-NFA Firearm, Silencer, AOW, MG, SBS, SBR, DD, etc.
