  1. This needs to be required reading for everyone on this forum: http://www.amazon.com/Economics-Dummies-Sean-Masaki-Flynn/dp/0470879483/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356844562&sr=8-1&keywords=economics+for+dummies
  2. Think about that question for a minute. Is it likely someone here would pay that much? Probably not. Judging by the questions I've received from people on gunbroker there are at least a few potential buyers there considering it.
  3. I'm not a dealer and I'm not a charity. I have something that people want, if they want to purchase it they are going to have to pay what I'm willing to take. That just so happens to be an admittedly absurd amount. If there's someone out there welling to pay that they will and if not they won't. That is the beauty of the free market.
  4. Yeah it's me. I don't even really want to sell it but if someone is willing to paythe stupid tax and give me $1200 for it they can have it. Stock saigas are going for $800 and mine has a few hundred in accessories. It's called capitalism.
  5. 2A:65C-1 Sale of novelty lighter prohibited. 1. a. A person shall not sell, or offer to sell, a novelty lighter. b.For the purposes of this section, "novelty lighter" means a mechanical or electrical device typically used for lighting cigarettes, cigars, or pipes, that is designed to resemble any cartoon character, animal, musical instrument, toy, gun, watch, vehicle, food, or beverage or similar articles, or that plays musical notes, or has flashing lights, or has other entertaining features. Just make sure you don't ever sell it to anyone It is exempt though if its "primarily designed for lighting barbeques". Don't you just love NJ laws?
  6. Wrong. NJ does require an FID for handgun ammunition but NJ statute defines handgun ammunition as "ammunition specifically designed to be used only in a handgun." If any long gun exists in a specific caliber you don't need an FID to purchase it. All the common handgun rounds (.38, 9mm, .40, .45, .357, .44, etc.) have long guns that are chambered for them.
  7. You're better off selling the optic and accessories separate.
  8. If you load it PROPERLY by blading your hand so that the side of your palm is in contact with the charging handle that won't happen.
  9. I was there. You can see me in the background a few times in the video. Definitely one of the coolest matches I've ever shot. This year's Zombie Shoot was even better. Video of the '09 Zombie Shoot should be up on youtube very soon.
  10. Vinny transfered a few AK's for me, no problems. He works out of his house in Freehold.
  11. Black or stainless? Stainless Mak0: Mine is Stainless Steel which costs more. Bud's price is $320 for my gun and the cheapest on GunsAmerica is $335. Add shipping for GunsAmerican and the FFL fees for either I made out like a bandit buying from Solamon's. The Ruger was $350 The Minimags was $35 The cleaning kit was $20 add that up with tax and nics it comes up to a little under $440. Everyone else I will post pics soon. $350 is fair for the stainless model. Since you didn't specify I assumed you got the standard blued model. Solamon's typically has decent prices, especially when compared to most of the other NJ dealers famous for the free anus widening they include with every firearm purchase.
  12. Ruger 22/45 for $253: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_49_74/products_id/13153 CCI Mini-mags for $6.50 a box: http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&brand=CC&prodID=CC0030&prodTitle=CCI%20.22%20LR%2040%20gr%20Rimfire%20Ammunition%20100/box the gun you listed is an old listing and will no longer ba available at that price. Two minutes of searching turned up one in stock right now for $260: http://www.gunsamerica.com/977845223/Guns/Pistols/Ruger-Semi-Auto-Pistols/Mark-I-and-II-Family/Mark_lll_22_45_22L.htm
  13. Ruger 22/45 for $253: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_49_74/products_id/13153 CCI Mini-mags for $6.50 a box: http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&brand=CC&prodID=CC0030&prodTitle=CCI%20.22%20LR%2040%20gr%20Rimfire%20Ammunition%20100/box
  14. $440 for a 5.5" 22/45? Sorry to say but you got ripped off. They typically go for under $300. subtract the brick of mini mags and cleaning kit. I'm assuming a "brick" is 500rds, which should cost around $40 at most. And a cleaning kit costs what, $20? He still got taken.
