The HHS II has 2 dots and the HHS I has 4 dots calibrated for 5.56 trajectories at the factory. The dots are great with the 3x magnification! The Comp Pro is a great sight for that Tavor. Does it co witness well with those proprietary iron sights?

Do they really contact one's supervisor and have them fill out a form? I have never had my supervisor called in any way shape or form before. I hope this isn't a new policy gaining momentum statewide.

I'm cautiously optimistic this might go in our favor. VERY CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC!

As you can clearly see from my screen name, I am biased. All my glocks are reliable as the sun rising every morning. And so are all my 1911's. That being said, as much as I love 1911's, 99% of the time, a box stock glock will work every time you pull the trigger. I do not feel that way about many production 1911's these days. Some run perfect, some don't. Unfortunately, my father's Kimber Warrior has been a problem child for us. I have a friend with the same pistol and his has never had a problem. BUT, if you pony up the dough for a high end 1911, built by true pistol craftsmen, you will have what the 1911 can be as far as durability and reliability. I have learned this expensive lesson through the years. Just one example I will share.....I had a Wilson Combat Protector that I ABUSED. It was hard to do as I am known for cleaning guns, lol. I detail stripped, cleaned and lubed it well when I bought it, and never again. I wanted to know what it could take. I did oil as best as I could without field stripping every 1000 to 1100 rounds. That gun went 4,600 rounds without one malfunction or problem. Didn't even change the recoil spring. I have done much worse to a cqb purchased in 2000. I NEVER cleaned it and I lubed it every 500 rounds. It went more than double that without a single hiccup. It has been my experience that a well built 1911 can be a problem free gun that is boringly reliable. Now if Glock would make a slightly more ergonomic pistol, with more of a 1911 / "sig-esque" grip angle, I believe they would most likely all but end production of other polymer pistols. The Smith and Wesson M&P pistol series seems to be as reliable as glocks according to some of my friends that own and abuse them. Sometimes I think I might have to get one and see for myself! And yes, this guy seems like a bit of a douchebag. 1911 bias aside.

I say Ruger GP100, PRE-LOCK S&W 686 or 586, Ruger SP101 in that order! No lawyer lock Smiths for me!

I like low power for closer distances and hunting as the field of view is nice and wide. For tactical applications, I see merits of both so...... I use a 5.5 x 22 50mm objective on my .308 bolts. I LOVE HIGH MAGNIFICATION (can't get enough if you ask me) when I'm at the bench trying to shoot sub 1 inch 5 shot groups at 300 yards (yup, under an inch). It helps me to be able to evenly quarter that target at that distance. When I need lower magnification, say at 100 yards or so, I just dial down. Best of both worlds. Mirage is an issue during warm months, but once again, when the image is boiling in the scope, I just dial it down. Real good scopes will handle this much better than say a Leupold Mark 4 or the like. You get what you pay for when it comes to riflescope optics. Different scopes for different folks. My father in law shoots 1000 plus out in Colorado and he uses a 8x32 56mm objective Nightforce NXS. If I was out there, my rifle would have one too! The 32x is that nice when your target is that far off in the distance. But a 3.5x15 50mm objective or a 5.5x22 50mm objective would work well enough for you to hit cantaloupes and melons at 1000 yards if your rifle and you are capable. It all comes down to what you want from your scope. As far as magnifying each movement you make (breathing, etc...) with high power - This is true but it has just made me a better shooter. Limbsaver reduce recoil by a dramatic amount. They really do work well. Especially the limbsaver and the decelerator. Better than everything else on the market. They are on every bolt rifle and shotgun I own.

That looks very cool! And your rifle would be exempt from the "evil black rifle" moniker the liberal media and gun grabbers use. I say, get one!

I just told the only nice guy who works there just this afternoon that we call it the walk of shame and he laughed. He then went on to say that he hates this policy as well as the policy that someone can't test the trigger on firearms they are considering purchasing because everyone who looks at a gun says that to him.

He smacked around his wife - Uh oh. :evil: I am losing respect for him by the second. I do not feel that is excusable, especially for a martial artist. It is against everything with regard to respect that we stand for. I even "yes sir / I'm sorry sir" grown idiots at my rifle club who approach me and disrespect my friends and I for "rapid firing" or "owning an ammo factory" when I really just feel like slapping some sense in them and explaining how 3 to 5 shot groups with my bolt action can in no way be confused with "fully automatic fire" even though I wish I was fast enough on the bolt that it could! Some of my friends even bust my chops when I do it - they say things like, "you gotta stop with that yes sir Bulls__t ! That guys being an asshat!" I chalk it up to "avoiding unnecessary confrontation with people who like to feel powerful and strong when they are truly weak inside." It's not worth the hassle. path of least resistance and all. I'm going to google this Seagal wife beating thing now. I used to like this guy. So disappointed.

As a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Doe and a 1st degree in Aikido, I have a lot of respect for Steven Seagal, the martial artist. I do not have respect for the other sides of his persona. His acting was always sub par as he played the same role in every movie he did. I will DVR this show as a series recording though, even if the best part is the 1911 in the trailer. He did have a PX4 on his duty belt so I don't know what's up with wanting that toy gun on his side unless he has the 1911 as back up. Obviously I'm biased so no offense to all the PX4 owners out there.

Just came back from Dick's in woodbridge and today, I had to do the walk of shame for some rifle ammo. I was told by one of the more knowledgeable fellers that only shot shells do not require a "walk of shame". Store policy regardless of the laws in this nanny state.

Old boats are lots of work. I traded my 18 year old SeaRay Sportfish cuddy in for a full walkaround when the engine problems started. The three best days of boat ownership are: 1)The day you bought it. 2.)The day you catch your first monster and...... 3.)The day you sell it!
