  1. I'll keep it for now as there seems to be no interest. Thank you
  2. Here's a thought from someone with better word skills than I. Pay attention to the first four sentences. Essential Liberty "Freedom is seldom destroyed all at once. More often it is eroded, bit by bit, until it is gone. This can happen so gradually that there is no sudden change that would alert people to the danger. By the time everybody realizes what has happened, it can be too late, because their freedom is gone. ... One of the tricks of professional magicians is to distract the audience's attention from what they are doing while they are creating an illusion of magic. Pious talk about 'giving back' distracts our attention from the cold fact that politicians are taking away more and more of our money and our freedom. Even the envy that politicians stir up against 'the rich' is highly focused on those particular high income-earners whose decisions the politicians want to take over. Others in sports or entertainment can make far more money than the highest paid corporate executive, but there is no way that politicians can take over the roles of Roger Federer or Oprah Winfrey, so highly paid sports stars or entertainers are never accused of 'greed.' If we are so easily distracted by self-serving political rhetoric, we are not only going to see our money, but our freedom, increasingly taken away from us by slick-talking politicians, including our current slick-talker-in-chief in the White House." --economist Thomas Sowell
  3. Thanks George, it is a pleasure to have met you.
  4. Weekend Bump and combo deal.
  5. MALSUA is right! I couldn't take more than the first minute. A liberal, USA is bad, propaganda, BS production. The rest of my opinion is censored for "the better good of the people".
  6. Do you mean the chipped finish? That's what Sig 556 s do. They eject the spent shell so smartly it smacks the gun and goes about 6 feet front and 20 or so feet to the right. Never seen one that didn't have chipped finish in that area. It is the only mark on the gun though.
  7. I missed this post before but would like to add my .02. Take it to a reputable repair shop or dealer. You could get lucky trying one of the suggestions here or you waste hundreds of dollars. Why not let a real mechanic diagnose the problem and be done? Quote heard at service counter "I already spent $300.00 at the zone and gave my brother in law $600.00 for new coils and fuel pump, so I don't think its right for you to charge me $125.00 to find out whats really wrong." He probably believes everything Obama says too.
  8. No interest so never mind I'll keep it. Bought it two years ago and hardly ever shoot it. Comes with two ten round magazines, two fifteen round magazines, original box, case and papers. Eotech 557 AR 223 is not included but may be purchased with the rifle for $375.00 additional. I will not sell the Eotech alone unless the Sig is sold first. Hope that's not too confusing. . Sig rifle and Eotech sight weekend combo Ammo is SOLD
  9. If you can't find it anywhere else, call Joe at Naticchia's Custom Woodwork. His shop is down the street from me. He can duplicate whatever you need.
  10. It makes no difference where your head is. For point of impact to be the same as point of aim, you need correct sight picture and alignment. If you have a good sight picture and you hit point of aim at all distances after adjusting for bullet drop, your sights are zeroed correctly. Again, makes no difference where your head is. You must put you head where it needs to be to align the sights on target. Either the sights are aligned and on target or not. That said, if your windage adjustment is at its extreme the sights are mounted incorrectly. I am not familiar with the sights or rifle you have but the principles are the same for all. When mounting sights (or scope) you need to take care to mount them as close to zero as possible so you have adjustability. Now that you have zeroed the sights you need to see if you can move front or rear so that the windage adjustment is more to the center of travel when zeroed. It is a process that sometimes takes a couple of tries. I can't see for crap so I almost always use a scope and consider myself lucky to get the rings and body of the scope in the right place first try without a bore sight. Trick is to center the windage adjustment and then align and mount the sight. HTH
  11. 938 is same dimensions except for length. It is .4" longer and weighs .8 ounces more. 5.9" long, 3.9" high, 1.1" wide, 16 oz. I hear they have started to ship them too.
  12. Try Tanner's Sport Center in Jamison PA. http://tannerssportcenter.com/ They had some at very good prices. I bought one there last fall for $599.00. I see only M9's and PX4's on their Gunbroker pages but you might call them and get lucky. They usually have a pretty good inventory.
  13. I'm waiting for the Sig P938. http://www.sigsauer....-blackwood.aspxI have a P238 and love it. Curious to see the difference in recoil with the full 9mm. I looked at the Solo before buying the P238. It is good looking but that finish chips off. Every "sample" Solo I looked at had chips out of the finish and was mighty hard to lock the slide to the rear. I know I don't want a Solo for these reasons alone.
  14. Those comments after the article belong in the Daily Humor Thread.
  15. I own and read the hard cover version and think it is an excellent reference. http://www.heritage.org/constitution
  16. Do you have some examples of mismanagement? Or, lining pockets? Have you audited the NRA's books? +1 for Pizza Bob -1 for Nascar
  17. Badge mailing was prepped 4/7/12. I expect they have been mailed by now.
  18. I have a Beretta 92 and a Beretta 22 conversion kit. It works very well. I have only fired about 150 rounds of 22LR but that was without a hitch. The slide locks back on an empty magazine and it has fully functional slide mounted safety/decocker. It's a nice kit and almost forgot, adjustable rear sight is included. It was pretty accurate too! Not in stock from Beretta right now but probably sometime in May. To get mine, I signed up to be notified and bought the same day as I was notified. They were out of stock again in two days. http://www.berettaus...ce-kit/j9022pk/ Man, I've edited this post 4 times. Just added the link and noticed availability date of August.

    Sig556

Yes. I have a Sig SCM 556. It has been trouble free for about 2K rounds.
  20. The Browning SA22 is a very nice gun but not really known for super accuracy. As a lefty there are many choices in left handed bolt action guns. Not so much in semi-autos. For 3-6 hundred a Thompson Center 22 is a very accurate semi auto out of the box. Not the latest versions, but the TC Classic or TC R55. Or, you could join the hoards and get a Ruger 1022 and modify it. Scope choice is dependent on type of shooting you want to do. Anything from a inexpensive 3-9 power up to Benchrest scopes to 40+ X. I shoot a lot of 22 rifle and shoot mostly at 50 yards but occasionally 200 yards for laughs. At 200 the bullets drop almost 4 feet and a five MPH breeze will move it about two inches. For the best accuracy, listen to Pizza Bob and get a bolt action rifle.
  21. Sig Sauer is running a phone order only deal on lasers. $99.95 I originally thought this was the same as my LaserMax unit but it's not. So I can't really say it is a great deal. Sorry 'bout that, I jumped the gun.
  22. If a 1911 that works correctly is as rare as a Glock that does not, there must be a shitload of Glocks that don't work correctly. Now, I'm off with my son to CJRPC to shoot a stock 1911 that has never let me down..........ever.
