  1. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20170517/new-jersey-senate-bill-would-publicly-finance-gun-control-agenda As lawmakers in Trenton annually wrestle with whopping budget deficits and struggle to adequately fund roads, bridges, schools and pensions, anti-gun lawmakers have set their sights on more of your hard-earned tax dollars to finance their own political agenda. On Thursday, May 18, the Senate Higher Education Committee is scheduled to have a hearing on S.2830, sponsored by Sen. Fred Madden, at 10:00 a.m. This legislation would create a “firearms violence research center” at Rutgers to study gun violence as a “public health issue.” By misrepresenting the issue, they seem determined to ignore the drug and gang violence at the root of the problem. On one hand, this bill claims firearm deaths have remained constant over the last ten years and raises the question why a taxpayer funded research center is necessary in the first place. However, even if you accept their vague and slanted statistics, this is an incredible admission that the harsh gun control laws in New Jersey have done nothing to improve public safety. Clearly, New Jersey’s out-of-touch, anti-gun lawmakers do not understand the real issues facing the state. New Jersey has some of the highest taxes in the country and now these elected officials are calling for more tax dollars to desperately try to justify their failed gun control laws which, by their own admission, have not made a dent in gun violence.
  2. I must be the only one against term limits because I feel it's another government created "decision making" proposition instead of an educated populace deciding what's best for the country. I tend to be a realist and lean toward pessimism when it comes to government and I feel that we've crossed the threshold where you can't legislate "common sense, truth and morality"---it simply does no good other than grant government more power. I don't blame the system I blame the idiots or citizens too stupid to have an interest [enough] to research truth and history instead of simply voting for free crap. Our Constitution has not changed, but the populace has---the "history changers" have done their job over a compliant, stupid populace. Term limits won't do any good but an educated populace will!
  3. I'm starting to have my concerns as things drag on---I'm more concerned with the House more than the Senate (believe it or not). These guys are pissing me off because they ALWAYS have a vote by now on National reciprocity but now it's not coming up---Gee, I wonder why? These guys (RINOS) are as bad as the Democrats and are freaking big government liars . Tax reform should have at least been voted on---my goodness, that's the base of the Republican platform---a no brainer. Yet nothing happening...
  4. Illegal and Unconstitutional laws should not be followed
  5. Either way you look at it, it's a lie. We've come to accept the notion that 2+2= 15.789 simply because the government says so. We need to get out of that mentality. It's [like] saying that "everytown" is correct in stating that school shootings have quadrupled over the past 8 years. If we accept these grey areas, then yes, because they consider a school shooting a criminal that drove his car through a school zone, then killed 3 people on his spree at the bank. Numbers could be made to fit an agenda and we need to call them out on the fallacy and lies or they'll continue with this phony narrative, then "we the people" lose. What's next---counting it a "gun death" after a person died in a car accident but was carrying his gun? Sounds silly, but these people continually get away with the narrative and we need to break down the numbers to reveal their hypocrisy.
  6. That website should be illegal--freaking lies: " More than 33,000 people died in gun-related deaths in 2014 alone."First off, 2/3 of those numbers are suicide and suicide in the USA is lower than "gun banned" countries like France, Iceland and Japan. Then another 16% are cops/justifiable homicides or "self defense" Then there's accidental (which is WAY down http://personalliberty.com/gun-sales-way-accidents/), gang violence (most of remaining) which is left with about 4000 per year out of 350,000,000 citizens. This comes out to an average of 1 per 87,500. It wasn't that low in the 1940's or 1950's! Not to mention anywhere from 250,000 (CDC) up to 2.1 million lives per year SAVED by guns! That's a lot more people that would be dead. I think he flat out [just] made this up: ---"The evidence is clear: the five states with the lowest rates of gun violence" — Hawaii, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut — all have among the strictest gun safety regulations in the nation. Conversely, the states with the highest rates of gun violence all have weak gun safety regulations. Umm, you're wrong again-VT, NH, HI, ND and ID have the lowest. Also, the cities have the highest murder rates which every single city is run by a progressive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_in_the_United_States_by_state Freaking liars!
  7. Really? That type of mentality is set up for failure: Every other state--go to gun store.fill out form, show license. Wait for background check and leave with gun NJ-Meet sheriff. Questioned why you want a gun.Take off work. Fill out forms. Fingerprinted. pay $68 money order only. References are visited and questioned. Meet sheriff again. Questions asked again. Re-fingerprinted. Re-questioned. Miss another day of work. Treated like a criminal---than wait 3-6 months and voila, you have a FID only to buy a long gun that is also restricted. Go through the same process to get a handgun permit---then have no chance of carrying it anywhere. Restrictions on ammo logging, expandable ammo, etc. And you're okay with this system that has never once stopped a criminal? Then you wonder why NJ gun laws are unconstitutional and oppressive?
  8. Text of the bill in a link in the story and at the bottom of this post: http://freebeacon.com/issues/national-concealed-carry-reciprocity-bill-drawn-up-for-next-congress/ The new Congress is still weeks away from being sworn in, but one Republican congressman has already written a national concealed carry reciprocity bill to submit to it. North Carolina Republican Rep. Richard Hudson on Monday released the details of the bill he plans to introduce in the next session. The bill would allow anybody with a valid concealed carry permit from the state they live in to carry a gun in any other state. http://dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Concealed-Carry-Reciprocity-Act-of-2017-Rep.-Hudson.pdf
  9. How far from PA are you moving or is your work? If you live in PA your income most likely will be less, lower property taxes, lower car insurance and much, MUCH more favorable gun laws---LTCF is usually obtained in 10 minutes of 30 days.
  10. What I believed happened were numerous democrats came out to vote for Trump then voted (D) the rest of the ticket. Also, keep in mind a Pennsylvania (D) is quite different than one from New Jersey. There's numerous pro gun democrats in PA and I have more in common with them than the Eastern PA republicans. We're hoping the legislature will enact something similar to VA where all permits are recognized and remove the power of reciprocity from a single person.
  11. Boy oh boy would it be nice to travel through MD without pulling over, locking everything up each time I visit my kids for college in VA....it's such a pain. Also, my main reason to carry is self defense, but I'd carry 3 firearms every time I'm in NJ just to piss them off!
  12. Mayor Ras J. Baraka has a message for the country's gun manufacturers: start employing safe weapons technologies, or the City of Newark will take its business elsewhere. Surrounded by clergy and bi-partisan groups on the steps of Newark City Hall Thursday afternoon, Baraka called on all New Jersey mayors to convene before purchasing additional weapons for their law enforcement agencies and create a list of manufacturers who are listening to their concerns, chiefly: safer gun distribution practices and technologies. "We put our money in places, with people who support what we think is right for our community," Baraka told NJ Advance Media following the press conference. "You're talking about over 560 municipalities in the State of New Jersey. If we can get a quarter of them to say, 'Look, we agree with this, and we're not going to purchase bullets, guns or whatever from these four or five manufactures until (they) do what we ask them to do.'" One such technology is the "smart gun," a firearm programmed to be used only by the owner. State Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen), who joined the mayor Thursday, sponsored a bill last year that attempted to repeal a 2002 law requiring New Jersey firearms dealers to sell only smart guns three years after they are available on the market. Because of the restrictiveness of the 2002 law, some 2nd Amendment activists attempted to thwart the advancement of smart gun technology, according to reports. In a 2014 interview with MSNBC, Weinberg said would introduce a new bill to repeal the 2002 law if the National Rifle Association would agree not to stand in the way of smart gun technology. Weinberg's bill would have required retailers that sell guns to carry at least one smart gun in their inventory three years after they're vetted by state authorities and are on the market, but they could also continue to sell traditional weapons. http://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2016/10/baraka_calls_on_nj_mayors_to_unite_around_safe_gun.html#incart_river_home
  13. No...not really. Because I have come to realize that I'm being forced to disarm every time I go to work in NJ and realize how vulnerable I [really] am. You're simply living in ignorant bliss and know no better the feeling of being armed around your area---
  14. The only way to stop violence is to get rid of the human race...other than that, everything else and crazy laws is simply a power grab.
  15. I believe he means the population density in Newark,NJ or Miami,FL is no different and the amount of legally armed citizens has nothing to do with "why NJ can't have guns due to population density". Like you said, it's a "red herring" or once again lies of the left to pull on the heart string of a populace.
  16. Scumbag---Believe's in Constitutional right then says it should be regulated. What a typical, BS progressive weasel answer. These people are responsible for division, racial strife and putting honest citizens in danger by disarming a basic right. Please get these morons removed....
  17. I'll simply end it here and sorry for "hijacking" this thread. But do you mean to say if the NJ Judges and politicians were bound and accountable to the tenets in the Bible, NJ would [still] be a corrupt, No issue state? Sorry, these people have no convictions and no one to be accountable to with the exception of money and power and they are not accountable to you, only winning. The further we move from God the rights diminish---it's a fact and I guarantee NJ, CA, etc would be a different state if God was at the core to keep politicians in check and do the right thing---even when no one is looking. Do a search, most true, Pro-gun Judges and Politicians believe in God and his Word and with out that belief there is little to keep them in check and in line with God given or natural rights. So far, how's it working out with corrupt Judges and politicians? No too good!.I'll leave it there and move on----
  18. Give them time---Progressives chip away until the new framework is in place. It's been over 100 years they've been working on this---just a bit more time when they have all the right people in all the right places and it will suddenly go dark. Also, if you Don't believe me, Look at the anti-gun, high tax, progressive VS pro gun, lower tax states would you say they have a [more] Pro-God or Anti-God citizenry? I think we all know the answer to the question...but you can believe what the media, schools and left has molded into your mind. It's no coincidence that the pro God states have MUCH, MUCH more freedom that the more "tolerant, peace loving" states like NJ, NY and CA.
  19. The founders chose God given rights so government can never infringe or "trample" on those rights---if they're from God, only God can remove them. If their not from God, then government WILL remove them--a simply scroll through history reveals this EVERY time...it's that simple, remove God from society and the amendments are now open to discretion and over reach.
  20. This is where our country goes off the rails. If a "right" is a natural or God given right then only God can remove those rights as he see fit, but he wouldn't because God is a God of justice and mercy. However, if a society does not believe in God then government now can infringe on these "human rights" as they see fit. This leads to whomever is in charge to call the shots---literally. Hence the reason our government (Federal mostly) sees the need to remove God from every aspect of society. Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Mousillini, Castro, etc all did and the result always has the same ending---death, destruction and loss of all freedom. It's important that God is part of the equation regardless of what your stance is on the subject---because if we continue to push God out of society, inevitably something or some group/entity will fill that void and when that happens it never, ever ends well for 95% of the citizens.
  21. Casino carry It is legal to carry inside a casino, on the Las Vegas Strip, or at the Fremont Street Experience. Most casinos will ask you to leave or disarm if they observe you carrying firearms, but it is not a crime unless you refuse to leave or comply (only trespassing). http://www.nevadacarry.org/
  22. http://fox13now.com/2016/07/06/nevada-now-honoring-concealed-carry-permits-issued-in-utah/ NEVADA — Legislation that went into effect July 1 means those with concealed carry weapon permits from Utah can now carry a concealed weapon in Nevada. According to a post from the Mesquite Police Department, the state of Nevada will honor CCW permits from Utah as long as the permit holder is 21 years of age or older. The rule applies to visitors to the state as well as residents. Those who have CCW permits from other states and who live in Nevada must apply for a permit from Nevada, and the post from Mesquite PD states a person with an out of state CCW has 60 days after becoming a resident to obtain that permit. Included in the post is a list of several states that Nevada will now recognize CCW permits from. That list and other information is also available via the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s website.
  23. Yeah, tell that to the radical left wing ATF. Obama's EO's have carried the weight of consequence and over reach unlike simple EO's of previous presidents. His have done damage and have consequences attached.
  24. According to CCW reciprocity website, NH ONLY takes home state licenses however, PA takes NH regardless: http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_permit_reciprocity_maps.html
  25. I have the same thing as well when I'm not at home in PA. However, at $40 each I have never test fired it---have you? Online it appears (Youtube) bottom shot first then top and is dead on at 13' or less. Hey, it's better than nothing.
