  1. After posting this I looked at more forums and the consensus appears to be that Murom primers are good to go. From what I read, they are the company that makes Tula primers. I have had very good luck with Tula primers. I have thousands of Tula primers that I bought in 2007-2008 and have never had an issue. I ordered yesterday and will have them on Thursday. The cost was $499.90 for the primers and shipping $22.57 for a total of $522.47. Looks like HAZMAT was baked into the price. If they work well, I will be ordering another 5000.
  2. I can't believe that I just spent $500 for 5000 SPP. Especially a brand I have never used. Has anyone here ever used Murom primers? It is ridiculous that CCI and Winchester haven't been available in bulk for quite some time. I was going to buy 1000rds of 9mm but looked at all of the components and powder I have. $500 wouldn't even buy me 1500rds of 9mm. Has anyone found any good sources online? My local gun shops are selling primers by the 100.
  3. Nice, I have both and really like them. The X-Compact is an awesome gun. It may replace my P365 as my EDC.
  4. They are progressive, see my other response. The priming system and indexing are the two areas where I like the Dillon presses better. The biggest advantage the Hornady has is cost of accessories like caliber change plates and consumable parts.
  5. I don't really ever have to tweak either of my Dillon's once they are dialed in. The Hornady LNL seems to always need some tweaking, especially the indexing. The Dillon's also have much better priming systems. The LNL priming system is a PITA.
  6. I have both brands and will go with Dillon every time.
  7. Rubbing it in would be mentioning that I am placing an order with Silencer Central today...
  8. Just wanted to post some gun stuff instead of political crap. The two new guns are a CZ Scorpion EVO with Holosun and SB Tactical folding brace along with a Sig P320 X-Compact with Leupold DPP. I waited until the accessories arrived until posting. Both guns are awesome and a lot of fun. I have been carrying the Sig a lot. I was on the fence about red dots until a few months ago when I realized my old man eyes needed some help. Shot both with my son in the back yard today and we had a blast.
  9. I cut some strands from a copper Chore Boy and wrap it around a bore brush. Cleans lead fouling very quickly. Of course I stopped shooting Thunderbolts years ago because they are crap.
  10. I have no experience with 10rd mags from them. I purchase mags right on the website.
  11. The Stacatto C2 mags are gen 2 mags are $69 for the 120mm version and work perfectly. The mags are nothing like the old STI mags. The discount also applies for accessories like mags. The gun is way less than $3000.
  12. The Honda driver was rushing someone to the hospital, they just didn't know it at the time.
  13. I have a C2 and really like it. It is a bit large/heavy for everyday carry (same size as G19 but weighs more). I usually carry my P365 but I just got a P320 X Compact and put a Leupold DPP on it and have been carrying it quite a bit. But to get back to your question I don't have the Wilson but the C2 I have is very well made and great to shoot. The Stacatto LEO/MIL discount is great. My C2 was a good deal with the discount. I was not comparing the 2 because the Stacatto was what I wanted. You can't go wrong with either but the Staccato costs 1/3 of the price of the Wilson but Staccato magazines cost more than Wilson mags. I am happy with my C2, it is extremely accurate and well built. You can't go wrong with either.
  14. Bass Pro owns Cabelas and has ruined the brand. They will ruin Sportsman's Warehouse as well.

    Lever guns

I had a BLR in .308 that I sold for two reasons: 1. it didn't fit me well and 2. it was the least accurate .308 that I have ever owned. It was a beautiful rifle, just not for me.

Henry makes the Long Ranger in 223/556, .243 Win, .308 Win, and 6.5 Creedmore. They are similar to the Browning BLR. They use box magazines due to the pointed bullets.

I have been taught to never dry-fire a rimfire gun and that it is safe to dry-fire modern centerfire guns.

Which henry 22? The basic Henry 22 does not have nice wood like the Golden Boy models. The wood on all of my Henry rifles is far nicer than the wood on any of my Marlin's. The first two pics are two different Henry's. The third is the Henry in 45 Colt, and the last in my first year Marlin 1894 in 357 magnum. The Henry's are way smoother and I think the wood is much nicer.

None whatsoever. I have all three and like the Henry's way more than the others. I just bought a side gate case hardened octagon barrel 45Colt Henry a couple of months ago and it is my current favorite lever rifle. I saw a brass Henry 357 lever action at the LGS for $829
  20. I have two, the DualPoint, and the IWB that Sig sells.
  21. I appendix carry my P365 in a BlackPoint holster during the entire summer. AIWB is the only way for me in hot weather. The gun disappears completely using AIWB, no oversized clothing needed. I just move it to the side when driving or sitting.
  22. The question about intended purpose is very important. My answers were based on the fact that I carry everywhere I go. Concealment is my #1 priority. The holsters I mentioned all conceal very well for me. The reason I don't like Alien Gear is that they are so bulky, they just don't work for me. I like a holster that is built for the specific gun, not one that is modular (too bulky).
  23. I really hate Alien Gear holsters. I have a box filled with them. For Kydex holsters, I like BlackPoint Tactical, Bravo Concealment, and LAS Concealment holsters. BlackPoint takes a long time to get after ordering (months), the others are very fast. I have been using the Bravo Concealment and BlackPoint OWB holsters now that it is getting colder. In the warmer months I use IWB holsters.
