my wife is shopping for a 1911 9 millimeter. But she loves the feel of my CZ 75 BD. Try to find one used on Gunbroker and ask if they can keep the magazines for a reduced price. Then find some 15 round magazine. CDNN usually has them.

I did not bother calling. It has been an average 8- 12 weeks per application. My next door neighbor is a volunteer fire man in town and is friends with the firearms police officer. He had to get an address changed and it took him 8 weeks. They only have one officer doing paperwork and if it took him 8 weeks then I am lucky.

I also went with the M9, more from familiarity, but I do enjoy my 92fs. Easy breakdown, wide open ejection, and availability of parts, with a common caliber to trade for if the shtf.

When I had my mid-life crisis 7 years ago ( I'll be 43 in July) I had a newborn. I told my wife that I either wanted a motorcycle license for the 1972 Honda CB450 in the garage, or my pistol license. She told me that there was no way that I was getting on a motorcycle with the effing idiots on the road in Bergen County. I picked up my paperwork the next day at the police dept. Since then my wife got her fid, she's looking for her third pistol, and I bought my soon to be 8 year old girl a .22/.410 combo rifle. Got a 12 gauge, CX4 9mm, and just completed my first ar build. Five pistols, too. And by the way, they prefer to be called "Inuits," not Eskimos. Eurocentric oppressor! But they will invade, have no doubt!

Been to crawfishfest about ten times, but have missed the past few years because of my girls' dance recitals. They're big fans of The Meters. I too love Cowboy Mouth, seen them bout 8 or 9 times in NOLA, Irving Plaza, the fest and D.C. They rock!

I have both a Beretta Vertec (92fs) and a CZ75 BD. They are both so freaking awesome. The Beretta has more options including magazines, but the CZ shoots much better.
