  1. Doctors aren't allowed by law to release anyones medical records, imformation or such without a patients permission. Its also part of the HIPAA laws, which started about 15 years ago or so. So by law the only way they can find out is if you tell them.
  2. Last time I had a carry permit through the State Police it took 6 months to get.
  3. I think one very good reason people don't come out in support of firearm reversal laws is, like me, I've been fighting the BS laws in NJ from 1971 to present, and I'll be honest, I can't remember winning anything but being damed for my efforts by Trenton. Heck I can't remember winning one anything. Fourty years of 0 progress, I no longer care what happens here in NJ, nothing is ever going to change. We even have laws on guns that don't exist, give me a break. I know alot on here will dam me for this, but guys its true. A wise man once told me "every day our Fed. & State congress is in session we lose more of our rights". They do nothing and expect everything, arragant SOB's.
  4. Were in the process now of evacuating Cape May County. The parkway and most of the secondary roads are backed up, so at best its stop and go. At this point thats about all we can do. From what I heard out of my District our real orders come after the hurricane passes. I pray its nothing like the hurricane of 62, which flatten our barrier island towns and grounded a USN destroyer on LBI. Most of us are are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Good luck everyone and batten down your hatches.
  5. Anyone think the new SC ruling with have any effect on NJ C&R purchasing. I'm not well read enough on the subject to venture a guess. The idea of a C&R has always appealed to me. Semper Paratus
  6. Thanks maksim---last time I purchased ammo I only had to show Drivers License. Most of my purchases are at local NJ gun shops and in Deleware state (45 minute drive). I like Deleware, no tax, NIC checks are usual $3 to $5, plus I usually get a 10% military discount. Living in Cumberland County near Port Norris the ride up Rt.# 49 is nice. Miles of nothing. PeterF----I was aware the right to own in NJ is by exception and not a right before SC ruling, I should have pointed this out before or in my question. Thank you for bringing that to light. Now the question makes sence of my point.
  7. My Son In Law when to Dick's in Vineland NJ today and purchased a brick of 22 ammo. He said that now its a state law to have to show your NJ firearm ID as well as your drivers license to make the purchase. He was told this my the employee there. If its true, wouldn't this be illegal under the new rulling by the Supreme Court. If I remember right, another court that (can't remember which one) said, included the in the 2nd. was the right to own ammo., its analagy was that a car isn't a car without its wheels. Anyone know if there is now such a law about 2 ID's required for ammo? Or is this Dick's employee just miss imformed?
  8. I think this new law also requires that you can't use a pole of less then 4ft, 6in. shorter then that is considered concealed.
  9. The USCG's main function isn't to enforce Fish & Game Laws. Though it has the authority to do so, as does NJ State Police, Local Police (some maintain summer water units, though any NJ Law Office can inspect your boat i.e. ANY) and the 6 or 7 State Fish And Game agents. Myself I'm not in favor of this registration. I believe it will lead to yet another license fee & more freedoms lost.. You all know this is the tip of the iceberg. This license thing always lights a flame in my bildge. I will say this much, I have seen alot of NJ fishing laws and limits just plain disregarded (enlisted April 1969 & still at it, Girl Souts weren't recruiting at that time). Understand theres more to this then then can disclose. Please no drinking and driving. Trust me on this one, its harsher then MV pentlies. Better yet don't have any onboard, its causes so many problems, just from the heat, sun light it can cause heat strokes, strokes, heart attacks & +. Drinking water is the best bet. Sun Block won't stop or help any of the forementioned. "Fishing Rod, a new name for GUN"
  10. I'm sure this has been asked many times before. I have an old NJ Firearms I.D. to a N. Jersey address (about 1 1/2 years out dated now), I now live in Southern NJ. I don't plan on buying anymore firearms any longer ( I think I own at least 2 of everything----LOL) so I don't plan on updating my I.D. to reflect my new address. I live across the River from Delaware so ammo, powder, primers ( I reload ) shouldn't be an issue. All my guns were purchased honestly through FFL's and I have retained all paper work. OK heres comes the stupid question----Is there any reason why I should update my old I.D. to my current address? Not sure this means much to the question but I was Grandfathered into hunting with my old Hunting I.D.
  11. I can't apply for a pistol permit, I'm going mental just trying to figure this whole thing out----Prozac anyone??????????
  12. I rarely sell now, but did use to sell once fired brass on ebay. At the bottom of the items description I alway put "Payment by check (all checks held 10 days) or M.O.'s. NO PAYPAL. Seldom did anyone pay using PayPal after that, I even shipped. Not a cure all but seems to help.
  13. Merry Christmas---schutzen-jager
  14. CPRPE---My hats off to you. I've always felt that an employee way of being thanked for a job well done was his/her's pay check be paid each pay day on time as well as that check being good. An end of the year bouns told me thank you for a job well done ALL year plus I was company asset, that made me feel good. schutzen-jager-----I can't imagine being 2 years without your job. Im things are tough in your house, what can I say, but if your in need of something or your family, I'd be honored to help you within my means. To start with, my wife and I'd would like to wish you a Merry Christmas/ SEMPER PARATUS
  15. You know I'd agree that Nursing has been operating for years with a stortage, never thought this would happen, I felt it was almost a sure thing job. But in the last 2 weeks, she has put out a fair amount od resumes, maybe 25 total in Cape May, Cumberland & Salem counties and nothing. To think only (best guess) 2 years ago the sign on bonus was a new car, or in some cases or a place to live free 1 year (appartment). All I can say is--I think this Health Care is going to be a long bumpy road, and not for the good. Merry Christmas every one!
