  1. The thing about ROTH is that it sounds too good to be true. No tax on growth? I will take that everyday. No other investment has that. Yes, I am fully funded every year.
  2. I just have to say THANK YOU to all the funny MFs that make my day seeing these things.
  3. Thin gloves for shooting, thick ones for standing around. I shoot winter trap at CJ and its fine to 20 degrees. Hope the clays are fragile in the cold! Some ammo sounds different during a long cold week in my truck box but hey, whatever. We have been to Red Wings 4x this year already, nothing better than walking the course in 50 degree weather. I like global warming if it lets me shoot more.
  4. check out www.ammogarand.com This guy is the real deal, I have met him.
  5. Nothing wrong with shooting trap in the winter
  6. so funny. I had to clearly explain to a 29 year old girl what a fax was.

I like shooting outdoors in a safe and legal environment. Plus, everybody is friendly and helpful. We are all on the same page. I shoot trap 12 months out of the year, day and night until 9pm. No one offers that. The outdorr pistol range has lights for shooting until 9PM also. The club dumps their excess funds into maintenance and big projects. They have never asked for a dime besides dues. Other clubs will assess members for big projects. I have shot around a lot of clubs and CJ is the most well maintained.
  8. Cut the top off with a grinder then reach in to unbolt everything. maybe you can fix the dial. screw some steel over the top and drill out the screw heads. Thats what I did.
  9. I got Little Don christmas tree ornament and gave him a M60 to carry. Everybody loved it!
  10. Outdoor rifle ranges and pits are daylight only. The pistol and shotgun ranges are 7am to 9 pm weekday, open at 8 on Sat/Sun. I have never waited for a spot in 8 years. We shoot clays every Thursday until 9PM all year long. It is a club event, targets are provided $4 for 25. Yes, we shoot at 20 degrees. Man up and dress warm. Heated trailer in between rounds.
  11. I found a small USB stick the size of a chicklet lost in a couch in a hotel room in China. Of course I thought it was an intelligence service plant to access my computer. hahaha. Turned out to be a trade show giveaway and very handy.
  12. wow, what a beautiful picture. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  13. we ARE in good economic position. Whatever the Big Guy and his hot wife had to do with it, I support him. Rather be fat dumb and happy or hungry and believe me; been both.
  14. Think this was the first time he did something stupid in 23 years? I don't.
  15. Dumb ass of the day contest ended very early today.
  16. Splitting wood by hand on the hottest day of the year is my favorite. Maul + 2 wedges + sledge. Spring for the composite handles. Use a peavy for moving the big boys. You get a lot of wood out of a 24" round but the are heavy to lift into the truck. Stack them up like stairs to tip them up into the bed. My wood lives in a shingled roof open side shed and is very happy. The shed is named Woodhaven. Yes I am wood loco. You have to cover it a little.
  17. Today is the last day for $4.98 Gun Club shells. Yea, I know it's Dicks but why not get a good deal. Buy 11 boxes at $4.98 and fill out the survey to get $10 off the next purchase. I have been doing this all month.
  18. Great ammo deal at Dick's this month. Use a $10 coupon and get #8 or 7-1/2 x 1-1/8 oz for $4 per box. Look for a good quality o/u 32" barrel to shoot skeet, sporting clays, trap & trap doubles. Great sport, much better than poking holes in paper.
  19. There were just a few spots on white clothing but Mrs. Rifleman was not happy. When she ain't happy, no one is and we get a new machine. That's how I roll yo.
  20. The brown gunk is "sealed" bearing grease. Once you see this the machine has to go. Yes, this happened to us.
  21. OMG: attack of the plywood dweebs. I have 1/4" thick HRS + three layers of plywood + 1 top layer of 1/4" HRS on top for the most stable and bullet proof attic floor in town.
  22. If anyone wants all plastic Wanda hulls and the black plastic insert FOR FREE .... pm ME and I will send them to you for the postage. They were the first reloadable plastic hulls when production shells were paper.
  23. Why do we reload shot shells? 1. We can make a shell equal to the quality of a Winchester AA ($9 per box) for less than $6. 2. We can make 16 yard, ATA Handicap, skeet, sporting clay, trap doubles, low-noise/low recoil loads any day with a common set of components: wads, hulls, powder, lead & primers. 3. We never run out of shells or have to buy "whatever is on sale" 4. Repetitious factory style work is relaxing when you can see your product. Believe me, it's a good thing to do after pushing a pencil all day in the office. 5. OK I admit it: Fixing (yes it happens), cleaning, modifying, adjusting, tinkering with the machine is fun just like screwing around with my 72 Chevelle carb. 6. Any shell press is an excellent addition for the underground bunker hahahahaha 7. 300 shells per hour made, boxed & load up the machine for next time. I go down bunker for 10 minutes, pump out shells and that feeds the beast for a while. Also, some shameless self promotion- there is an awesome 12g hydraulic foot pedal operated MEC for sale in the other forum.
