  1. I don't believe Marco has a web site. He has done trigger jobs, hammers including extensions, barrel replacement, blueing, checkering, throating, timing, accurizing etc. all have been wonderful. IMHO he iks one of the best around. He has been working at his craft for a long time. He is not cheap, but I think you get what you pay for.
  2. With all those permits out there, how are they going to stop you? Through the NICS check?
  3. An excellent, experienced gunsmith is Marco at Paterson Gunsmithing. He can do just about anything!
  4. I'm sorry! I guess I just don't know how to post a link. Anyway, the site is LTD Ammo Sales

  6. Here's some Remington PMC for $347.99 per K. http://ltdammo.com/index.php?main_page= ... ucts_id=75
  7. Thanks all, I dont know where the SNAFU started there, but that is what the salesman told me. I thought it was unusal but hey Im on the other side of the counter. What do I know? I will go to Meltzer's and see what toys they have to waste my money on.
  8. I went to Hackettstown guns today and was told that the State police called this morning and they put the OGAM law in effect starting today! So i took my PTP and went back home. I bought one at the beginning of the month so Im done til September. The permit will be up by then. Have to renew I guess. Jersey sucks!
  9. Ok. I will try and get that together. I have a can (one of those cans the danish sugar cookies come in) full of cast .45's. They are most likely linotype lead. And i would have to check with my sister in law to see what the bulk of the other lead is. Hopefully not just plumbers lead. I will post when I can get it all together. I don't want any money for it. the .45's just need to be swaged, lubed and loaded. it would be great if they find a good home. We used to make a weekend out of it. We would cast, then use a Star and Dillon to make hundreds of .38's and .45's for next to nothing. to the pm-er, I dont know how to reply to you, but I kept your number. Any one interested is a block of bullet wax to go with it? The machines were sold before he died.
  10. Thanks for all the good advice. i will probably scatter it in the grass. Now what to do with all this lead. Kidding...it will be recycled.
  11. My brother and I used to reload. When he passed away, I wound up with a half a can of Bullseye pistol powder. What is the best way to get rid of it? Just pour it out in a straight line and light it off? Pour it out and let blow away? i'm never going to use it. Suggestions?
  12. I was sssstutttering? i dddindn't notice...could SOMEBODY PLEASE ANSWER THAT PHONE?
  13. I recently had a great day at the range. I shot my friends 300 win mag and got scope eye, then banged the ar mag against my my head which is only a chrome dome!
  14. In my home town, under a previous police chief, i had to put down every place I ever worked including the years, and if I forgot one or missed the years, he considered it grounds for denying the permit. But that was a long time ago.
  15. I got mine in Hackettstown. I believe they are the same as Arms and Ammo's. Mine came with the anti- tilt follower. Very cool. The ones I bought from Midway for $40 bucks apiece don't have that feature and you have to be sure to tap the mags before you use them.
  16. As usual, thank you for all the insight! i always loved the look of the "Ranch Rifle" but havent seen many of them, in fact never saw one until yesterday. And just as an aside, Arms & Ammo you guys rock! It is so great being part of this group and being treated as an adult. If you are not sure what I mean, try shopping at Ramsey and ask to look at a hand gun, they make you feel like you just asked if you can borrow his wife.
  17. i went into a gun shop today and they had a Ruger .223 for sale. I thought they were on the forbidden list. I'd love to own one. Arern't they all mini-14's?
  18. Shooting a bear with a hand gun will land you in a world of crap with the PD and fish and game. Of course if you call them maybe they will send you a supply of rubber bullets to persuade the bear to leave your living room. I live in Sussex County and when i was walking my dog, I was confronted by a medium size bear. I made all the growling noises and yelled for him to get shoo. He did, and emerged from the bushes with his brother (or sister) I didnt wait to really see if they were twins or not. In any other state you would be able to defend yourself, in New Jersey you'll do 3 to 5 and lose all your guns to boot.
  19. I shot competitive handguns for years and ALWAYS had a copy of the PTP with me. The range officer at the club I belonged to once told me, you are going home at 9:30 at night or on a Sunday after a match with a hand gun in your car, and you get stopped and the trooper sees the range box in the car. The record dept of the NJSP only works from 8 to 4 Mon thru Fri so guess where you are going to wait until they get the mess straightened out?
