  1. If your somehow stopped by the police and your having a knife on you becomes an issue, can you say you identify as a Sikh ? Sikhs are required to have 5 articles of faith on them at all times, one of which is a Kirpan. A Kirpan is described as a curved knife or sword. Because it is a religious requirement the Kirpan can even be carried in government buildings, although I believe some paperwork is to be filled out first. A Kirpan is carried because a Shik has a responsibility to come to the aid of those in peril. Which would mean it's intended use is as a weapon.
  2. I just watched a video of him slamming the NRA for their commerical saying the president has armed guards for his children but doesn't want them for ours. He said the president's children and his children do not have a choice. I say B.S.
  3. Reminds me of the Biker and the Cowboy on death row. They were to be hanged on the same day. The warden asked them if they had any last requests. The cowboy asked if he could heay Ackie Brakie Heart one more time. The warden said ok we will play it over the prision's loudspeaker system for all to hear. Then he asked the Biker what his last request was. The biker replied - HANG ME FIRST !
  4. Someone recently told me that Cold Steel is eliminating the springs in their version of the buttlefly so it functions as a normal one would. And they would ship them to NJ as there was a recent change in knife laws in NJ restricting ownership. I did not ask where that information was obtained as I figured It would be some where on the Cold Steel web site or posted elsewhere on the web. I find nothing. Anybody hear anything ?
  5. I say it depends on the LEO wether you get arrested or not. I have a cousin who is a superior court judge in Newark. He often cautions me against carrying any sort of knife in NJ. I don't carry every day but when I do I wonder if I will have a problem.
  6. I am wondering if appearance or color would matter . Say you were carrying a breast cancer awareness pink folder . Would you be less likly to be arrested ? If you ended up in court would you prefer the prosecutor hold up a pink knife rather then a tactical looking all black knife. However you could open yourself to a bunch of ridicule from your buddies for having a pink knife. I like to cary my Laredo bowie concealed in a loaf of Italian bread. It serves two purposes, It conceals the knife and if I get hungry I have something to eat.
  7. Can a caucasian cash in on the 10 grand reward ?
  8. I bought the Becker BK2 . It's built like a tank. However I have an older Smith and Wesson cheap-a** bowie knife I bought a few years back and use it to split firewood for my outfoor firepit. It's just a stainless steel blade but has taken a beating over the last two years . I paid less than 30 bucks and it just won't die.
  9. I have the Hanwei tactical Wakizashi in my bedroom but just ordered a cold steel Gladius machete. I think the Gladius may be the ulitmate close quaters combat weapon . I see it as a good weapon to use were space could be limited and also offers increased reach over a fixed blade knife such as a Kabar.
  10. 505 Gibbs. $2750.00 https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/39890
  11. I moved a 500 lb safe twice. The first time I went to a small locksmith store in Montclair NJ. He charged $175 bucks and moved it all by himself with a battery powered motorized handtruck. The second time I called a safe moving place in bergen county (don't remember the name). They charged me $500 bucks and had no special equipment other then 3 big guys and a regular hand truck. The second move was a bit further so I thought professional safe movers would be the way to go. It wasn't, the locksmith was cheaper and better equipped.
