I'm with you..........the way I see it;; 1st year you pony up $60 for the background,$125 for nra basic pistol saftey then $135 for ccw law and use of force training...and if the judge approves you get to pay $500 for a limited permit.. thats $820 to carry..and renewal is the same process with a sike eval added.. missing is the part about not requireing the courses be taken every year; so to me that means a carry permit is over $800 a year not $500 plus whatever the $$ sike eval is...

the official chrage is felony reckless endangerment..no weapons charges were filed...he could beat this in front of a jury....2 other shootings were reported within a block of his house that night.....

his story is on fox now.....his lawyer said his client was in his doorway when confronted by 18-20 members of ms13 and fired 4 shots into the ground to protect his wife a and baby ;he showed great restraint in doing so and that he is a licsensed gun owner..they plan to fight this and hope a jury of his peers see it his way......

guilty - 4th degree ag. assualt...., brandishing for intimidation, should = jail time...and what about the injury she suffered when she was disarmed ? can the guy be charged at alll ? why didnt he retreat instead ? if he had time to jump off and wrestle her for the gun, he had time to retreat to safety ........(just play'n both sides here)....

my idea was for carry purposes only not HD or target use...if nj forced all non smart guns be surrendered; than yes, running to the safe would be a problem...I dont think selling a smart gun w/watch would be impossible, unless the owners DNA is locked in it ..it maybe harder to find someone with enough money to buy it...I'm no specialist but,..how often do laser target finders on guns fail? kinda the same thing (electronic)?

dont beat yourself up dude...withdrawing the application is not the same as a denial! ..getting denied will make it harder next time, if you try. tell them you changed your mind and wish to withdraw the app...wait for 6 mnths/year then try again....
