  1. Take a look at my AR that I have for sale - it has a 13" Troy Battlerail TRX and does not leave much room for the brake. http://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/80571-wts-custom-built-mega-arms-ar15-reduced/
  2. I would re-think using Simplisafe: http://thehackernews.com/2016/02/hack-home-security-alarm.html "SimpliSafe wireless home alarm systems – used by more than 300,000 customers in the United States – are Hell Easy to Hack, allowing an attacker to easily gain full access to the alarm and disable the security system, facilitating unauthorized intrusions and thefts."
  3. I've been looking at the auctions on ebay for a Macbook Pro and I can't believe how the macbook pro's made in mid-2012 still retain their value. Based on that, I can get a mid-2012 macbook pro, i5 processor, 4G memory, 500G HD for around $550 on ebay. I have always been curious about macs due to the audio and recording software and tons of others, but just all around stability. My question, is there anywhere else other than ebay to look at a decent used macbook pro ? There are a lot of companies that sell off-lease macs on ebay and not sure about them. I am willing to to go to around $600-650.
  4. Hey Guys, Need to go onto a construction site in NYC shortly to do a network infrastructure build and want to have comfortable shoes and don't want that added weight of a steel toe shoe. I am guessing that the composite toe shoes are good with OSHA ? I now need to look for a comfortable pair that looks like and comfortable like a sneaker.
  5. Hey guys, Anyone know of plumbing supply shops that carry parts. I am looking for a non-standard pop-up drain stopper that has a smaller diameter (looks like 1 1/8") that what is out there at Home Depot (standard ones are 1 3/8"), as well as the horizontal rod that is smaller. I thought about replacing the whole pop-up mechanism however it's a pedestal sink and can't get at it without removing the sink in order to remove the pedestal. A simple task would turn out into a project. You would think that when installing this pop-up mechanism that you would pick a standard size part. I've spent way too much time on this already. Hoping that there are some plumbers here that can help. Thanks, Ed
  6. Good Luck David - I'm in Monroe as well - looking forward to a 5 minute commute to the range as well !
  7. Some more info on this for various countries: http://www.ecigarette-politics.com/electronic-cigarettes-global-legal-status.html
  8. You can vape but no nicotine in Canada - not sure about indoors though.
  9. wsaraceni - I always thought that great sounding blues guitars usually came from a Les Paul but I am probably completely wrong after doing some more research. The other guitar that I thought had an amazing sound was a Gibson ES335 which I think is a semi-hollow that BB King and Clapton played - this was more the sound that I was looking for and very expensive(and I understand that the player has much to do with it as well). Wondering if there is a good copy of this out there. Mind you, I also love Stevie Ray Vaughan and I know he played a Fender Stratocaster (next on the list) so I may end up going with a Strat, too many choices !
  10. A lot of great advice, thanks ! I always thought I had to spend at least 2K on a Gibson LP Traditional/Standard but it appears that there are some good copies out there with Epiphone and Agile and maybe others. So I now have some trying and playing to do at GC. I also heard a Gibson ES-335 that sounded wonderful for blues but am not prepared to pay 3K. I had no idea copies of most high end guitars were made and of course it would be nice to have a Gibson name on the neck (not to mention resale value) but don't think I would be selling it anyways.
  11. This could get expensive - thinking of selling a few firearms
