It looks like Bucks County has most of the options we're looking for. Thanks for the responses

We are seriously considering moving over to PA due to many reasons in the spring and wondering where we should start looking. I need to be accessible to NJ/NYC within a reasonable time because of my job and thought that by sticking around the 276 corridor would be the way to go. Any suggestions of desirable/safe places to live ? Ed

Haven't checked this thread for awhile and noticed a lot of activity ! Just an update: I decided to get the Nikon M-223 3X12X42 with the BDC reticle since the AR I decided to use was one chambered for .223 only, 18" fluted barrel. I had fun zeroing at Old Bridge on Monday and am anxious to try the BDC reticle at longer ranges. I am happy with this scope as they (SWFA) also included the Nikon M-223 mount. Ed

The NRA Store has eye protection that you wear over your prescription glasses - a little bulky though http://www.nrastore.com/nra/Product.aspx?productid=SA%20446B-S

Hey guys, Looking to get a snubbie and the one that comes to the forefront for me is the S&W Model 642. It feels good and have heard it being one of the more popular snubbies. What I am looking for is if it's comfortable to shoot with such a light frame. I am also open to other hammerless-type snubby suggestions. Thanks

You can get a Colt Match Target carbine, 1:7 twist - I have one.

Thanks PB - will look for them

Another newbie question - I have a 10/22 with a BSA Scope with a 40mm objective lens that hits the barrel with the garbage rings I have. I need rings to clear the barrel. I also seem to be continuously tightening them as they get loose often. Anyone have a recommendation for decent rings for this setup ?

For now, limitation of NJ ranges = 200 yds at Fort Dix but soon enough will find me elsewhere with longer ranges. Not sure how far ballistics of .223 can realistically go

Guys, I would like to enjoy mid-long range shooting with an AR with a 20" barrel. Was looking at 2 scopes for this and wondering if these AR specific scopes are overkill or not: http://swfa.com/Nikon-3-12x42-M223-Riflescope-Kit-P47972.aspx http://swfa.com/Leupold-3-9x40-Mark-AR-Riflescope-Package-Deal-P44574.aspx OR, should I stick to a generic scope and not caliber specific. Also not sure about the reticles, Mil-Dot, BDC, Nikoplex, Point Blank, Duplex, etc ???

LOL That's what Gene was trying to say. The use of a baby (doll, of course) is part of a simulation you would go through in NRA's PPIH.

I also would like to stress that ShootNJ provides high quality courses. The attention to detail is apparent throughout ALL of their courses. They also are highly qualified individuals (Chet, Dawn,Cameron) with many of the disciplines. The courses are fun and interesting. I have taken mostly every course that is offered, as well as the Pistol and Rifle Instructor courses. You won't regret it - well worth the investment ! Ed
