SCOTUS agrees to hear 2A case from NYC
noshow replied to TR20's topic in National Gun Law Discussion
I'm only guessing that if the Supremes were going to rule it mute, they would already have done so. That said, the chances of getting a further review and decision seem likely, but I am a dreamer not a lawyer. -

Here's a well written review of the Oral Arguments that is worth the read. It is positive and gives some hope that relief may be forthcoming from the SCOTUS: https://shorenewsnetwork.com/2019/12/06/supreme-court-hears-gun-rights-case-arguments/ -

Being a NYer and holder of such Premises License, I am wishing for damages. The fees NYC charges for this privilege amounts to $340 every three years. Relief from this unfair financial burden is sorely needed! -

The Docket was updated on 11/15/2019 and also looks favorable to our side. The Solicitor General has voiced his opinion on "Mootness" and filed a brief to that effect: https://www.supremecourt.gov/docket/docketfiles/html/public/18-280.html -

My interpretation of the of Scotus decisions to date have been very favorable to our side! I can't help but feel we are on the road to restored rights in the "may issue" states like NY & NJ. -

Offtopic question: Do the New Jersey "Sports Authoritys" sell ammo. In particular, the one on 1&9 near Woodbridge? Thanks -

I went to Dick's in East Hanover for the first time today. I shoot mostly rimfire, so I can't report on much centerfire stuff. If you're looking for standard velocity 22s, they have both Remington Target(9.99 per100) and CCI SV(24.99 per brick) available. All the ammo in this store is accross the counter on the back wall and it is verry difficult to determine what they have, much less what it costs. I hope this helps some of you 22 target shooters -

Just came from the Dick's in Woodbridge. I was there for rimfire only as I reload for all my centerfire guns. They had very little .22 or .17 on the shelf. All I could find was CCI SV 22, so I bought two bricks at $24.99 each. There were six more on the shelf. It appeared they had a good supply of CF handgun ammo as well as value packs of .223. -
