Thanks Tried that, and did not find any thing that went into actual step by step (with pictures) detail. If you know of any would appreciate the link info.

Looking to see if this can be a DYI project or needs to go to a professional (and recommendation of one) They are light scratches from storage I guess. But deep enough to be easily noticeable. (see picture) Thanks!

This seems to be an occasional problem with both the .357 and the 44 rifles when feeding the smaller cases of .38 and .44 special Here is a link to a discussion on it. https://www.marlinowners.com/threads/new-1984c-357-mags-feed-fine-38-specials-jam.17497/#post-181299

Have a Smith and Wesson 617 SS 6 round revolver with a 6 inch and 4 inch barrel and some other extras. Test fired it and never got round to doing the program I had picked it up for. I'll take some pics later today Model 617 6 shot .22 Lr, with CTC Laser Grips, original 6 inch barrel (not pictured) , Otter Speed loader system, and original grips (not Pictured)

Sorry for the delay. It took a lot of positioning wit h a bright light to show up the marks.

Thanks John for the information. If I had the time and space, and skill I might attempt It! (and guts) :-) Right now I am looking for a smith or re finisher who can do it. Any suggestions?
-
Anyone have a suggestion on who could do a brushed finish touch up on a stainless steel receiver , Marlin Lever Action? Thanks!

Very Nice! I also prefer the straight stock Marlin. Like this:

Thanks Griz ! Yep remember papers shells. I am also older than dirt! :-) I was asking specifically about deforming in a magazine not tube. But you observations are noted. I have a couple of Adaptive Tactical mags so I guess I should set up a semi controlled experiment. My guess is that low vs high brass, size of shot, and loading one less may have a bearing on the outcome. Bob

I have heard this from several sources. Anyone have any personal experience with deforming of shells? Over what period of time? Did it cause a failure to feed?

Surplus .50 Cal Ammo Cans (3 day sale)
Blueskybob replied to Blueskybob's topic in Hot Deal Discussions
Damn, the old hidden shipping fees that don't pop up until the end. Sorry about that. -
Numrich is having a sale on its 50 Cal Ammo Cans (50% off) which with shipping brings them to either $8.25 or $9.17 each with shipping. Doing a quick check on the net it looks like a good deal too me. Anyone seen them for a better price? Only problem, NOTE it is only for the next three (3) days. 4/12 to 4/14 http://www.gunpartscorp.com/April_Offer.htm?utm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Click+here+for+offer+details.&utm_content=Three+(3)+Days+Only:+Ammo+Can+Sale,+HK4+Information,+%26+More&utm_campaign=April+2017&_bta_tid=427817832321392247424613592802933772995346311855931934380353194951496412326805514993372035328621869843
