  1. And as far as shooting goes - it has a horrible trigger pull, especially in DA. Pretty uncomfortable grip for anyone with a large hand, and is a PITA to reload. (those old movies where they shot a tons of bad guys with Nagant were all lies - it is mechanically impossible to reload the damn thing in any reasonable amont of time)
  2. Feliks, The Nagant is a must have for every Russian, for all of the historic/nostalgic value. I have one (took me a while to locate a pre-revolution 1916 one). It will never become a gun you would shoot often, but it is one of the must have's you just have to have So the price of ammo is pretty much irrelevant here - $25 for 50 rounds is about as much as you would spend a year anyway Bottom line - they've already risen in price somewhat, so get one now, I'm sure you won't regret it tovarish!
  3. 100% - they never showed the actual pit it was in - the owner guy just kicked a few blocks lying around. Also, while most of us wouldn't be able to figure out where these bunkers are being installed, I am sure the local people would recognise the location right away. So much for "secrecy"
  4. So, the owner could've opted to move them out of the residence instead of being confiscated? And let's say the owner moves to another location, can he claim them back?
  5. I am somewhat confused - the article says that "The relative told officers that the recipient did not possess any weapons but that he, the relative, owned several gun, knife, sword and homemade weapon collections" and "Sheriff Ralph Froelich said that neither man has been arrested on charges related to the weapons, but the serial numbers will be checked to make sure the weapons are owned legally. All the weapons were transported to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, processed and secured in the evidence vault" What is the legality of this if the weapons do not belong to the person on TRO and were in the locked safe he does not have an access to?
  6. Krispy Pizza on rt516 in Old Bridge (actually right by the traffic light on the way to OBRPC outdoor range) So far, very close to the real Brooklyn stuff
  7. I think the guy behind a counter mentioned $40 + nics
  8. They have couple 91/30 Mosins for $150. A few more rifles and pistols but I didn't check the prices on those.
  9. Wacom has been in the tablet business for a very long time and used to be the number one choice for professionals. There are some newer tablets out there, but you cannot go wrong with Wacom.
  10. That is Nagant revolver, designed by Belgian Leon Nagant. Sergei Mosin, one of the designers of the rifle has nothing to do with it.
  11. "an empty Mosin pistol crate" - hm... what exactly is the Mosin PISTOL crate? Never heard of Mosin Pistol...
  12. Actually a very good idea. Once you finish the write up you can convert it in PDF and sell a digital version on Ebay for like $5.00 This way you wouldn't even need to bother with printing and other logistics. I bought a manual for Mosin some time ago that was just a bad scan of the one Century sends with their rifles. Given your level of expertise in this stuff this is definitely a winner. I would buy one!
  13. What really surprises me is the amount of people not getting the joke and becoming offended - WNBC on Ch4 just had a story about this and the tone of the whole thing was that it is not a funny joke and why someone would do it etc. There is something fundamentally wrong with the media. And as the map goes I am on the border between McMansions and Old People and Asians. I am Russian, not too old and my condo barely passes for a dog house at the Mansion... I guess I should be offended too!!!
  14. The price seems to be on a lower side - I was eying WWII P38s for a while and the prices usually start at $700. And RC aspect adds some value for me - these ones definitely saw some action.
  15. I use Hostica.com for many sites for over 10 years. Cheap, reliable, reasonable customer service. Good control panel - easy to manage.
  16. Suffering from a major hangover took my son to party place for his 3yo buddy's b/day party. Enjoyed the ride back in the middle of the storm on a RWD 330hp car with summer performance tires on it. Knowing that I have a full set of brand new winter tires sitting at home - priceless!!! If that wasn't enough, fixed myself with some beer and drove to Brooklyn. Met some friends, fixed myself with a few shots of vodka. Wife drove back home. Thinking of having a couple more beers...
  17. What makes me wonder is that if you click on the map somewhere in the middle of the article, it appears that the places like NYC and Phila have "less than 1000" compared to some counties in NJ with up to 10,000-24,000. Should I consider to move to Bronx now? Appears to be much safer than Old Bridge...
  18. Every time I order ammo online the disclaimer says - adult signature required. However, over last 3 years I cannot recall a single time when they just wouldn't drop it off by my garage door. Go figure...
  19. I've used them before and the price was better than the one I found at the store I was picking it up from. All the fees were included in the price and that was the amount I payed. So all I had to do is just stop by, fill in the paperwork and pick up the gun. Overall pleased with the service.
  20. Interesting article about the guns used in this movie: imfdb.com
  21. Nice poster! Got a copy from a friend who downloaded it from somewhere.
  22. Yep, I remember that movie. Saw it recently - it doesn't look too bad, or maybe I am just nostalgic
  23. Luger P08 Mauser c96 (Broomhandle) Walther P38 SVD Stechkin That should do it for now...
