  1. I would play paintball all the time, but really haven't done it in the last 8 years. I still have all my markers in case I do decide to get into it again.
  2. Thanks, tried to get 10 ended up with 4.
  3. Nice meeting you, good luck on the rifle builds!
  4. Picked up my Spikes/Bushmaster AR today. Awesome guy easy transaction, Thanks again. -Jason
  5. He purchased my Stag Upper. Nice meeting you, and thank you for serving our country!
  6. Thanks, but you mixed up Slowbra for Terminator lol . They Toyo's have been great with getting the power to the ground no complaints. I am guessing that's the Redfire one in your photos? I never did the pulley swaps or anything. just went right from 100% stock to the Kenne Bell w/ supporting mods. I want to get the new JLT CAI with an updated tune, people have been making good gains with it. Right now I am making a little over 620rwhp on 93.
  7. Toyo R888 in the rear, fronts are KDW2's which I just haven't gotten around to swapping yet.
  8. My 2003 Cobra, just sent out the final payment last week. My DD is a 95 Mustang GT.
  9. Yes they are, you can't go wrong with them. Mine is also an ac44 "j" block production.
  10. At the price it may take some time to find. I guess you wont care if it is a russian capture rifle? I can keep an eye open on them and if a good priced one comes up, Ill just PM it to you.
  11. Yea, I found the G43 via google.com search. Brought me to a michigan gun owners forum, and he shipped it to my FFL. Spent $1600 on it, everything is original and matching, but the stock was sanded by the vet. I bought the original ZF4 scope seperately, with a repro mount. Just keep up the search and you'll come across one. What is your limit?
  12. I believe they started using front sight hoods going into 1941. Some early rifles may have the grooves cut out for a hood, but most likely went back to depot or were serviced.
  13. What kind of prices are you looking to spend on a rifle? RC's are all over the place, I mostly see them for 300-500, but Ive seen sporters go for 175-350 online! As long as the barrel isnt cut, and the rifle isn't drilled and tapped, it will make an excellent project. Here are a few of my mausers, once you get one they just keep multiplying lol:
  14. I enjoy collectiong K98s, and there are still deals out there. Keep an eye out for local auctions and gun shops ask them to give you a call if a k98 comes in. Have you considered buying a k98 off gunbroker? I've found a few deals on their already, and sometimes people miss excellent rifles due to crappy pictures. I picked up a k98 for 225 on GB a few months back, sold it because I only wanted the stock. Generally the Russian captures will be shellaced and have darker stocks, but the original german rifles will also darken with age due to the linseed oil finish depending on storage conditions. I tend to leave stocks alone, unless its a RC with bad shellac peeling offf. Just don't rush into a buy, and keep on looking and you will find a decent deal if you look hard enough. You'll need to determine if you want something original or a russian capture. I think a great alternative is buying sporterized rifles, and restoring them. This depends on how much was done. Some are simple cut down stocks, which you can replace, sure the stock wont match, but you may have a complete matching rifle.
  15. Agreed, excellent bang for the buck! Couldn't ask for a better M1 Garand and 03A3 that I received from CMP.
  16. Great collection! Thanks for sharing.
  17. Generally the SSR rifles were early K98's so I'd rule that out. The only possibility would be an LSR being a 44'. However the LSR's were built off Gustloff thickwall receivers which this doesn't appear to have. We would also would have seen some milling on the sidewall, so I doubt it was ever a sniper. Just appears to be a bubba with a lymans rear sight.
  18. Exactly. lol Even though its sporterized, It will still be a great shooter if the bore is good.
  19. I am not arguing that the picture's you quoted are Norwegian, however the picture your are saying is of "his" isnt! Look at his post again , the first 4 photos he posted are of his rifle in a hardwood sporter stock. With no milling visible, and only 4 digit serial. The picture he posted of the Norwegian, just says "the eagle looks like this". That rifle is a 5 digit serial rifle, with original serial marked out, and is pictured in a laminate stock. So again, Yes the last rifle picture he posted is Norwegian, but it inst his rifle, judging by the other pictures he included. If they were clear we be able to better determine.
  20. His pictures are hard to tell, I mean in the 3rd picture, it doesn't look milled. And the 4th it does, but could just be a reflection. I agree Norwegians only did that type of milling, but I don't think his is milled, the pictures with the obvious Norwegian rifle, was just an example I'd think.
  21. I don't think its a rifle from Norway. I am assuming he just used that pictures to show the appearance of the eagle. Its a shame that this was turned into a deer rifle. I'd still hold onto it and shoot it. What are the numbers on the proof marks on the right side of the receiver? Also what code on the top? Intercooler & Mintbore, you guys have some good looking k98k's! I have a pretty good size collection, only 2 are bring backs, and 1 is 100% matching. I prefer the late war rifles.
  22. Yup, its going to be good!
  23. Yea, they are saying it appears to be a hoax, but are further investigating.
