If you read their forms, you don't need a notary if its within 3 years of last order. As far as other documents, it says include the checklist and write previously provided next to those documents. If your membership for a CMP affiliate program or club expired, send proof you renewed. I just sent all the documents again to make it easy, without a notary.

Wish I had the time to drive out, Ill be in Upstate NY this weekend. Its a great way to ensure you are getting a rifle. Hopefully my order will get processed quickly for a 03A3.

When I was looking earlier this year, they were 1900+ and perfect examples over 2500. Some guy sold his duplicates that weren't in great shape for 1600-1750. I found mine just searching on google. Ended up picking it up for 1600 off a local Michigan hunting forum. Its all original matching numbers. Stock was sanded by the vet though.

Check the E-store on CMP's site. My rifle shipped out 3 days after my ammo.

I filled out my paperwork with my address, and included a copy of my local FFL's license. I noted on the copies to ship the rifle to the FFL per NJ law. The Spam can was shipped directly to me. No problems with that.

I posted it on the CMP Forums, they think its a Special Service Grade. Funny thing too because I looked at the Tag to get the throat and Muzzle numbers, and it says SP. Service HRA. I was under the impression Raw Linseed oil takes forever ever to dry or doesn't. I have some BLO, and also some Fairtrimmer's Military Oil. I think the Fairtrimmers stuff looks great. Would you recommend that in place of RLO?

Yea it is very dry, I just got some Tom's 1/3 Mix I'd like to try.

FYI: I got mine in, and for a Service Grade it is amazing!

Wish we had private property to shoot on in NJ. Normally we go to our camp in NY and shoot while we do maintenance there throughout the year.
