A person (non-prohibited, of course) cannot receive a transfer of a LONG arm in NJ unless they hold a valid (with matching drivers license) Firearms Purchaser ID Card except for being the recipient of a transfer by inheritance.

In accordance with Chapter 146, Firearm Ranges, the permit fee for the operation of a firearm range is $250.
I wonder whether the fee is one-time or recurring?
If one-time, $250 is not too bad.
Regulation of hours and operational days by the muni sucks, but what do you expect in the PRNJ?

Wow!!!!!
I want this in 357! I want to shoot it, but the ammo costs would mean giving you 2 bucks a shot.
I have this in .357mag
It doesn't like light .38spl worth a damn. Huge groups!
But feed it full load .357mags and it's dead-on

...America is fast moving in a very scary direction. Stack up and stay sharp.
Truer words were never spoken.
In reality, we are beyond the point of no return already, I'm afraid.

I guess no one ever told 15 year-old Jaime "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes"
Condolences to his parents on their loss and condolences to the involved officers on their tragic situations.
I hope for healing for everyone involved (though I sincerely doubt it)

The Posse Comitatus Act applies only if the Guard is activated and in federal service. If it is activate by the Governor it is not subject to federal restritctions as it is a state militia, not an army.
And don't forget ...
THIS IS THE GLORIOUS PEOPLES REPUBLIK OF NEW JERSEYSTAN
not America

Whats funny is, we get home from NJ and wife and I exchange gifts. She got me a shotgun. With the money I was going to use to get the pistol. Im supposed to pick it up tomorrow.
So now I have to contact my cousin and tell him Ill be taking a wee bit longer to send the $$$. Which I dont think will be a hassle as he has it set aside for me in the first place.
All this after Ive been 1911 lusting all weekend....
Ahhh, the joys of being divorced ...

Does that mean a PA resident can drive to a NJ FFL and sell a handgun to me there? That's great news if so!
Yes
The only caveat it that upon entering the Glorious Peoples Republik of New Jerseystan, the PA seller should go DIRECTLY to the NJ FFL's premises
No WaWa or MickeyD stops

2012 is going to be an interesting (to say the least) year.
I hope it's happy, healthy and prosperous for all of us.
I also hope you're all prepared for what may come.
Laus deo.

From one FFL to another FFL, the US Postal Service Flat Rate Priority Mail box works great!
And for under $15
Perfectly legal, 2 day (or less) service.

I've ordered direct from Wolff.
They're in Newtown Sq, PA

...always thought it was peculiar for so many forum members to have dual residency in FL.
With a town like http://video.foxnews...ntcmp=obnetwork this, why not??

This is the Eliseo Tubestock
Best thing since the Geissele Match trigger!

Why does this thread make me hear the voice of Don Imus in my mind talking about nappy headed hoes?

I'll bring my late 70's S&W41 over on Tuesday for you and your oldest son to handle
(Sorry, no live firing unless you have a super secret range in the cellar)
The S&W22A's are real hit and miss (trigger, fit, etc)
They're wannabe 41's without the benefits

357 isn't cheap, maybe a 9mm carbine ?
And if you don't own a mosin nagant 44 or 91/30 go get one, extremely cheap to own and shoot , and they make one hell of a boom.
They'll REALLY love that at Hagues!
Or dare I say to try a....ummm....:::coughs:: "Hi-point" carbine. Cost effective.
Actually, the recent HiPoints are not a bad thing at all
I got one in 45acp at Cheyenne Mountain about a month ago
The factory iron sights are crap, and the finish is non-existent, but it was less than half the price of my CX4 in 45 and the mags are less than half the price too
Pull the sights, install an inexpensive red dot, order some spare mags from Buds and you're rockin' and rollin' for under $400
Ahhhhhh .45 goodness
Nothing quite like it!

If you're in NJ (and still alive) and your son is in DE, the only way to legally transfer to him is through an FFL.
Use a NJ FFL and he must have a NJ FID with matching address to his D/L
Use a DE FFL and he's good to go

Holiday wishes to you all.
I expect that some of you have been fortunate enough to meet and/or talk with one or both of the following gentlemen at NJ2AS meetings this past year.

As we entered December, I faced a dilemma. Many of our JPFO members are not Jewish (we don’t ask, but members often write to me and include such information), but it is inappropriate for an Orthodox rabbi to send Christmas greetings.
I approached my dear friend and brother Reverend Kenn Blanchard to write to our membership, and he kindly agreed -- and asked that I do the same for the listeners of his Urban Shooter Podcast. Reverend Kenn is a true friend, a man who actualizes in me potential that I didn’t know I had. May we all be blessed with such friends, and with love and peace.

Holy Day wishes
Religious holidays like Hanukkah and Christmas aren’t celebrated as holy days very much. I’d like to give you something to consider this season.
We have much to celebrate in spite of the economy, world politics and you-fill-in-the blank issues that plague us. If you are reading this, for example you are doing better than a lot of people.
The celebrations of both Christmas and Hanukkah involve family, lights, and freedom. As it was in ancient times, people are still trying to get others to bow down, or go along, with ideologies that would compromise your freedom. Don’t compromise on your faith or on your principles.
Once that light goes out, there is no hope and no help for you. Mattathais took up a sword and battled his way out of a compromise. A young woman submitted to become "the handmaiden of the Lord." Both holidays are about dedication, commitment and fulfillment of promises. How are you going to stand when the winds of change come?
"It takes more courage to reveal insecurities than to hide them, more strength to relate to people than to dominate them, more 'manhood' to abide by thought-out principles rather than blind reflex. Toughness is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles and an immature mind."- Alex KarrasAs members of the pro-gun community it is easy to grow weary in well doing. It is easy to get tired of fighting Aunt Laudy and everybody, but stick to what you know is right. Don’t bow down to idols. Keep your lights burning brightly so you can inspire others. Exercise your faith.
This is a season of joy and happiness if you realize that the most important things in life aren’t things. This is a time of family and friends. This is a time to rededicate yourself to what really matters in your life. Celebrate the Light of the World. Celebrate the lights of the menorah. Celebrate life!
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

PS. I am extremely honored and blessed to call as my friend Rabbi Dovid Bendory. I am humbled for the opportunity to contribute this message. It is my prayer that the Lord bless you and your family this holy day season. Shalom Baby, kb

And for those of you in south jersey, there's a bunch of us going to SJSC on Sunday afternoon.
At least there's no snow on the ground this year! (yet)

Winslow (SJSC) range will have 1000 yard range soon...
When pigs fly ... or when a True Conservative occupies the White House ...
whichever comes first

As long as Oblowme and Hitlery are in charge, NOT A CHANCE IN HELL we'll ever see those Garands and M1 Carbines again stateside. :-(

... If the state of Pennsylvania has agreement with Florida how can the city of Philadelphia pass a law saying they with not honor it.
Mayor Nutjob and his Corrupt Council of Fools can do anything they want.
Ultimately, it will be up to the PA Supreme Court (headed by former Phila DA Ron Castille) to slap them down.
Who wants to be the test case??
ambi ar lowers
in AR Discussion
Posted
The only things you need to make a "standard" lower into an "ambi" are:
-an ambi safety selector (~$20 DPMS)
-an ambi mag release (~$90 Norgon)
The upper is another story altogether.
Stag Arms makes true left-handed uppers. I use their varmint upper as the basis of my match gun. It's less than $100 more than their right-handed models.
