  1. http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/116951/c/used-firearms might not be a bad place to start if cosmetics aren't important.
  2. You're right it's a pachmayr recoil pad. Looks like the shotgun is a remington 1882. Serial number puts production somewhere around 1884. Unfortunately the stock and trigger guard area of the receiver are cracked. I'll try to get a pic up later.
  3. Anyone ever hear of Pachmayr making a shotgun? My step-dad purchased a double barrel and the only markings on it are Pachmayr Weapons INC Los Angeles Calif and a few numbers. I haven't seen it yet but looking to find some info before I head up there tomorrow, can't find anything online. Ill post some pictures when I see it. Thanks J
  4. Disregard I was thinking of the afg my apologies

    Glock inventory

try lawman again I picked up a G19 yesterday and they said they just got some glocks in my casings had a test fire date of 5/21
  6. bobs little sport shop might be a drive from you but they had a 40xx series pistol the other day might be worth giving them a call to see if it was a 4053
  7. it's been a year or 2 but Lawman Supply used to have a few on their shelf, only place I ever saw them stocked might wanna give them a call.
  8. harbor freight has a stand meant for a grinder that would be perfect to mount a press on. You'd probably be able to pick it up and move it around pretty easily. Think it was <$50
  9. if trading to an individual they need a pistol permit if to an ffl nothing you also need a pistol permit for any handgun you receive in exchange
  10. Ammoman wont ship to Jersey due to FID reasons. Out of state vendors are not legally required to see an FID and keep a record for the sales of pistol ammo to NJ residents whereas he is. Guess he has enough out of state sales that its not worth the hassle.
  11. mind sharing where that is? Anywhere to trailer in? Theres fewer and fewer places in Jersey to ride seems like they take the off roading rights away faster than gun rights.
  12. the pistol grip is a disqualifier on it's own. Even without the detachable mag you can't have it.
  13. its on shotgun and remington umc
  14. 5600 Central is at 56th street which is a pretty nice are, there is no 500 Block of central its where the road stops for the tennis courts by the high school. The are you're thinking of is around 4th and west.
  15. cabelas is selling sellier and bellot 9mm in vacuum sealed pouches so I'd imagine it wont be an issue. Also I dont see one of those machine creating enough pressure to damage then ammo as the only thing that pressure could do is deform the case or cause bullet set back. link to cabelas vacuum sealed ammo http://www.cabelas.com/ammo-sellier-bellot-9mm-police-training-ammo.shtml?WT.z_mc_id1=1235940&rid=10&WT.tsrc=AFF&WT.mc_id=k351838
  16. PA has a self sponsor program I believe it's through their community colleges. NJ's program called alternate was stopped for 2011 but is set to resume for 2012 somerset has an orientation for alternate route applicants set for sometime in september for their january class
  17. check njlawman.com lots of great information. You will find departments require anything from high school diploma on up to be hired, there is no state requirement. As for the major, you will find within your first five days on the street a criminal justice is just about useless. Also with criminal justice if LE doesn't work out for you, there's not much else you can do with it. You will also probably notice anyone in the higher up administrative positions ie Lt and up would often have some sort of management degree over cj. When you look into NJ there is also another evil demon in the way called the civil service commission. To be hired by a civil service town you must have residency take a test, which just passed and only happens every two years and score at the top, not to mention veterans who pass automatically go to the top. All in all its a great job, but with all of the laid off officers, alternate route guys(which is coming back in 2012 look into somerset county police academy) and class II's with certs, there's a lot of competition and getting your foot in the door with no experience will be tough. Noticed someone mentioned PA, most except large cities require are ACT 120 which is basically like PA's alternate route, most departments wont even read your app until you put yourself through an academy. I have a lot of experience with this, feel free to pm me with any specific questions.
  18. Bob's little sport shop in glassboro will usually do it for you. They commented mine wasnt laminated while making a purchase and did so for me.
  19. I would say that counts as a pistol grip, so the flash hider would have to go. Also it mentions having an adjustable length of pull which would make it collapsible and need to be pinned.
  20. Apparently Newark is now requiring small restaurants to hire armed security if they want to stay open past 10pm. Definitely an interesting solution to a problem if it can be called a solution. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/city-mandates-small-restaurants-hire-armed-guards-or-they-must-close-down-early/
  21. I have a Remington 700 SPS Varmint .223 1/12 twist I bought at dicks for under $500 put a Nikon M-223 3-12x42 with rapid action turrets on it and at 600 yards I'm shooting 6-8inch groups. This is using 55gr Fiocchi FMJBT bought for $.29 a round. Shouldn't need too much for 300yds.
  22. Bob's took the gun back and credited the money to the Kimber I was waiting on a permit
  23. I had a double defense that would only fire from one barrel. Took it back to bob's little sport shop where I had bought it, test fired it in their range, same problem they sent it back to stoeger. Got it back a few weeks later with a note saying they test fired it and couldn't find any problem. Took it back out to the range at bob's first 2 rounds fired at the same time after that it would only fire off the same barrel as before. Needless to say I no longer own that gun. Other than the fact they said nothing was wrong with it they had a quick turn around and had no problem taking a look even though I bought it used.
