  1. The TSA doesn't get it. What they get is a watered down list sent to them by the Feds.
  2. I don't trust his gun control policies, but what I do trust is his malice. He knows these bills are meant to jerk him around as much as us, which may or may not work in our favor. We'll see, I still think he'll screw us somehow.
  3. I think the estimate was around 5k based on the number of full buses.
  4. How come they get to have sticks when they protest?
  5. Grumble, you guys do realize the whole point of this thread wasn't start a religion debate but discuss ways we can appeal to more people in our efforts to fight unjust gun laws right? Not about communism, prayer in schools, your personal beliefs or lack there of... It's about shaping the message to get as many people on our side as we possibly can! The use of "God Given Right" turns off a lot of people from our message and causes them to reject it out of hand. I'm not sure why some people got so upset over a public relations idea. It's not like said go sacrifice a virgin and declare your allegiance to the alien overlords!
  6. Screw that, he's the son of god and if he's going to drop the hammer it'll be with authority! Colt Delta Elite, 10mm baby!
  7. You are comparing apples and oranges, the phrases are perceived quite a bit differently. All you have to do is look at the responses on various comments where people used the "god given rights" phrase.
  8. I comes from ME. I comes from my HUMAN right to self defense. I comes from my HUMAN right to resist an oppressive government. Our rights are WE decide they are, and what we are willing to fight for. There's a reason the founding fathers made sure to put in a separation of church and state. They didn't want religion dictating what rights we have or don't have, or control who is in power. They didn't want the Christians telling the muslims they can't vote, and they didn't want the Muslims telling the Hindu's how to worship. The bible has been revised dozens of times, depending on what the various religions wanted it to say. No thanks.
  9. Well, you are certainly free to do it your way Ruger9. Personally I'm much more interested in WINNING. If invoking god would help, I'd advocate that too. But in this case the constant chest thumping and god rhetoric is hurting a lot more than helping. I'm sorry you can't see that, the rest of us will try to mitigate the damage as best we can.
  10. Not a loss really or a win. Jackson wasn't exactly friendly to the 2a movement, so it's a wash.
  11. Actually pulling prayer out of school had nothing to do with ANYTHING you mentioned. Divorce rates started climbing when more and more women started working full time, which happened to happen in the 60's with the equal rights movement. The other crap started climbing after the industrial revolution. More and more people left the small towns and farms, cramming into tighter spaces fighting for the same jobs. It's basically the same thing that happens when you stick 10 cats in a sack and give it a shake. Most people couldn't tell you who their neighbors are anymore, nor do they care. If you want to win, you need to put your arguments in words your audience understands. You don't start babbling Spanish when your trying to teach French, and you don't start a baseball discussion with a Mets fan... Ok I don't have a good one for the Mets, they're just terrible.
  12. You can believe anything you want. But when you are trying to convince someone else of something, you frame in ways they can understand. You aren't winning any arguments with the "God Given" stuff. Quite the contrary.
  13. What an idiot, report him to GB and have his account locked out. He can't even spell.
  14. I can tell you from experience, as soon as you start with the "God Given Right!" , people in the North East are writing you off as a nut. Down south it's not a bad thing, here though it hurts more than helps. Stick with the points of law and the constitution. I know many many people who immediately become very hostile to gun owners when they start with the "god given right". They'll at least listen even if they don't agree when you talk law, but mixing in religion is a losing battle. Long story short, shouting "God given right" doesn't work here and makes you look like a hysteric.
  15. Everyone just needs to stop buying crap so this can die down back to normal. This panic buying is hurting us more than the stupid bills being voted on. Personally I refuse to buy ammo until the supply goes back to normal. I mean seriously, people are paying more for .22lr than they did for 9mm 3 months ago
  16. They'd like us to be number 1 in something right? It's never going to be lowest property tax or job creation so might as well be crappy gun laws and high crime.
  17. It's coming sooner than you think. There's a case currently being heard in the FEDERAL courts that looks VERY promising for us about New Jersey's concealed carry.
  18. I know comcast keeps you on file for at least 3 months. So you could potentially bounce between providers quite a bit.
  19. Roku is nice little device. I used it with a application called Playon for the pc. It turns your pc into a media server and lets you stream ABC, History, Discovery, and a bunch of other stuff if it's available online. (aka i used it to watch "The Big Bang Theory" the day after a new episode) I used that for my TV for 3-4 months without a hitch, but with the Baseball around the corner I broke down and bought Directv. I'm paying $50 a month for the first year, no premium channels which I never cared about anyway (you can get $10 off a month for 10 months for you and a buddy if you give them their account # when signing up, and $10 for everyone who you then refer). And when the promotional price ends it's still cheaper than the promo rate Comcast offered me to try and keep me. Also, haven't had ANY issues with losing my signal. Rain, snow, wind, doesn't seem to matter. The new antenna's seem to work really well. I know the mount is rated to stay true with 130mph winds.
  20. 300 .40 cal 600 .556/223 I had 800 9mm, but I sold them to a couple of people here at work. (pre-stupid prices, I'm not an opportunist)
  21. Eh, considering the stuff that Sweeney want's to pass is probably the same crap that CC will pass I'm not sure how it helps us in the slightest. Sweeney is pro 2a when the moods suits him or it benefits him.
  22. Has that idiotic Cali bullet button thing. It can be removed but it's annoying.
  23. Since no one here knows all the details or just how arbitrary getting on the watch list is, and that includes the politicians, it shouldn't be used PERIOD.
  24. The mandatory training, renewal, 10 round limit, and internet purchase bans need to go.
