  1. Non competes are worthless in New Jersey. They are worth less than toilet paper. The only way they are enforceable is if they pay you a specific "bonus" for staying with them and even then the most they can get from you is the amount of bonuses. Also if you are with the company a short amount of time and steal their customers then they can bust your chops. I doubt this company was paying you a bonus. I laugh every time a boss tries to get me to sign one. No one can stop you from bettering yourself. Let them sue you because a judge will throw that right out.
  2. Just remember folks, they are only your rights if you can pay for them in a court of law.
  3. Good thing the guy had some coin to fight the charges, otherwise if it was someone with no money...he'd be found guilty already.
  4. Older S&W yes. New S&W with the lock. No way. Ruger all day. I love my GP100 and it's extremely accurate. Its really a matter of preference. They are both equally great guns but you will pay $300 more for the S&W. Can't believe the amount of Ruger haters on this board.
  5. I don't think you have to but from what I understand if you don't, you will be liable for any fraud if you don't have the new EMV system. They went live with this system a couple of years ago in Europe and credit card fraud was drastically reduced right away. It will be a lot tougher to skim cards with this new chip.
  6. I did that the first time around. I got a police report and guess what. It was a total waste of time. The credit card handled everything and not once did they ask me for a police report. Even the detective who took my report told me to call the credit card company as they would handle it. My card info was stolen 3 times and never had a problem dealing with either Chase, Amex, & Capital One. OP had an issue with a stolen credit card, not identity theft.
  7. Don't waste your time with the police. They will do nothing unless the fraud was done locally. Call the credit card company and they will just open up a case. They will immediately take any questionable charges off your card. Credit card fraud is so rampant that's its commonplace nowadays. I fault the credit card companies for not adopting better technology.
  8. You have to wait until their unemployment benefits run out and then they will be looking for a job.
  9. Not sure how the "Freewheel" service is going to be successful. Optimum hot spots are not that reliable when driving. I drive up and down 23 all day and pick them up with my phone and they cant even stream music reliably. Constantly in and out. Only good if you are staying still in one place.
  10. I forgot to mention that too. If you have satellite and a generator you'll never lose your TV service.
  11. If your in the Tom's River area the dish would have to point 231 degrees southwest with an elevation of ~~~36 degrees. Sometimes you can get a signal from a ground mounted dish but that poses other issues.
  12. No responsible installer should put up a dish if he sees bare trees on your property. Do not risk it. You need a clear line of site to have a dish installed properly. Also sometimes it seems like you cant get a signal but you have to remember the dish sits at a 35.5 degree elevation and about 231 degrees Southwest. About how far back are the trees? Are they right on your property or in the distance?
  13. I was also stuck with Cablevision/Optimum and that's why I went with Directv. From what I read, Verizon has been done for years on large expansions of FIOS so looks like that will never be an option where I live.
  14. I've always loved Directv. Had it for years when I lived with my parents but when I got an apartment I had to settle with cable. I purchased a home a few years ago and switched to Directv about 9 months ago. I have to say you get a lot more for the money with Directv. Their promo offers are great. The only thing now is that you have to commit for 2 years. Years ago you did not have to. I was an installer years ago and you always hear people say the signal goes out every time it rains. Its simply not true as long as the dish is installed correctly. Level and plumb. The only time it goes out is when there is a thunderstorm because the clouds are a lot more dense so the signal wont go through. Even when it goes out during a thunderstorm its usually only for a few minutes, not during the whole storm. The new slim line dish makes installation a snap and also a lot less wires outside of your house. Only 1 wire goes from the dish to a switch and gets split off from there. The Genie system is great. I have 3 televisions in my house and with the Genie you can watch and record from all TV's. The Genie system actually has 5 tuners built in so you can actually watch/record up to 5 different shows at the same time. I have the top package and with all the promo credits I have it for $113.00 a month on 3 tv's. It is going to go up once I hit the 13 month. Not sure how much but I have no problem with it. It is true that they have been upping their price every year but I had the same experience with cable. If you really don't mind the hassle, the best thing to do is switch providers every 2 years to take advantage of promo offers. Dish from what I understand pretty much works the same as Directv, just points to different birds in the sky. Dish programming packages are not as good as Directv's in my opinion but when I did my research its not a bad deal if you don't care about sports. If you dont care about sports, DishTV is the way to go.
  15. He's an ex cop and a total asshole. I've been there. Blatant racist too.
  16. Not likely??? General Dynamics= Huge defense contractor which equals LOBBYISTS. SMITH & WESSON FTW.
  17. I had an left side inguinal hernia repaired at a surgical center 2 years ago. They used a mesh to repair it laparoscopically. I went in at 6am and was home by 11am. Surgery was 45 mins and felt good until the anesthesia wore off. My left side of my ball bag became black and blue and got pretty big. All normal. Find a comfortable spot on the couch for 2-3 days until you can start walking normally again. Doctor gave me percocet but it doesnt do anything for the pain but will help you relax and sleep. I was back at work behind a desk in 10 days. If you get an incision done with the hernia repaired without the mesh it might take a while longer to recover and yo will have to watch what you lift. You will be sore for a while and will know if something is to heavy based on the soreness that you feel. You will know if something is to heavy to pick up after surgery. Doctor told me that with a mesh there is nothing you can pick up that will damage what he repaired. The worst case is the stitches on the laproscopic incisions will bleed. If you have a labor intensive job it will take some time to get back to work. Sometimes weeks. You just are sore and uncomfortable in that area.
  18. Smith & Wesson is getting the contract. General Dynamic did not team up with Smith & Wesson for the fun of it.
  19. Do a cabin filter on a 2008 Mazda 3 and let me know how long it takes you. I did it once and will gladly pay someone to do it for $145.00 the next time. Not all cars are the same.
  20. Skimming and copying your card is the biggest scam going on right now. It happened to me twice this year. Shady gas station attendants & parking garage employees are always suspect.
  21. It will take 7 years for that line to disappear as long as you paid it but you should at least have a letter of satisfaction as paid from the court.
  22. Thats because your provider was OK with it. They are not legally obligated to accept monthly payments. They can but by law they cannot be forced to. Think about it. If everyone could pay $1.00 per month every hospital would be out of business.
  23. Total BS. The provider does not have to accept monthly payments if they don't want to. They can demand it in full and if you can't pay it in full then they turn it over to a collection agency.
  24. Do you own a house? If you don't own anything then I wouldn't worry about it. If you own a house then you better get insurance. It's not Obamacare or the gov't I would be worried about, its the tactics the hospital will use especially if you own a house to collect.
