I don't think Christie had an issue with the trade unions run by private companies. He had a problem with unionized municipal employees (police, fire, teachers, town workers, state, etc. or any employee directly paid for by the public).

Any particular reason you are against the flu shot? No one should go to work with the flu. I am not sure if there are any bosses out there that would force their employees to work that have a flu. If you ever had the flu you would know that you would be useless at work no matter what you did for a living. Even sitting behind a desk. Flu shot has never hurt me and I have taken it for the last few years. If you have any type of egg allergy then you should NOT get a flu shot otherwise its no big deal.

Don't post anything for sale on a forum where anyone can start an account. Sell it through your FFL if your so worried.

Maybe little or no Saigas coming from Mother Russia
Springfield1911 replied to The_Matrix's topic in AK Variant Discussion
I have been hearing this for at least 5 years already with Saiga going out of business and in bankruptcy. Its total BS. -
There really is no way to avoid the people flaking out but there is one thing I do to avoid people low balling you in person. What I do from the beginning is shake their hand and thank them for coming over. Before showing them the item I ask them "Are we OK with the price that we negotiated?" When they hear this up front they won't lowball you even further than they already did. I try to negotiate over the phone before they come over. Of course I am very honest up front with anything I am selling. I tell them exactly what is wrong or if the item is brand new condition.

I had an individual plan about 4 or 5 years ago. At the time I had to pay about $300 for a bare bones policy. From what i understand an individual policy can range now from $400-$1000+ depending what coverage you need. My friend owns his own business with no employees and he pays $30000.00+ for a family plan with $7500 deductible. Good luck with whatever you find because healthcare is not affordable anymore.

Yikes! An EAA Zastava Pap with 2 magazines already up to $865.00 on gunbroker. I think I will be selling mine if I can get that kind of money for it.

Get your info straight. No one is collecting a check for 3 years straight. The maximum benefit was 99 weeks and has since already been reduced. I believe its down to 79 weeks. I was laid off years ago and I can tell you it's no picnic. Probably one of the worst feelings in the world. With the current state of the economy 79 week sometimes isnt enought time to find a job. I truly believe the majority is not "abusing" the unemployment benefits.

School me on the "gun show loophole"
Springfield1911 replied to O-gre's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I am not sure about TX. I only know about Virginia because I have family that lives there. It's only for private party sales. If you buy from a legit FFL dealer then you have to submit to a background check. Remember in VA there are no permits like here in NJ. You can freely purchase firearms between private party just like we do here just without the hassle of the permit. -
School me on the "gun show loophole"
Springfield1911 replied to O-gre's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
The only state I know of a "gun show loophole" is Virginia. Private sales are not regulated from what I understand. Basically you can buy a gun from a private party and not submit to any type of background check. -
I never understood the issue with the 2% tax cap. Didn't the governor run on the fact that the property taxes are high in this state because of pension payments, healthcare costs, benefit payments, etc.? I just find it a bit weird that those are the "exceptions" to the 2% cap? Maybe I am missing something.

If you truly believe the assessment is wrong then definitely appeal it. This exact situation happened to my mother where they pull the assessment number out of thin air and was way to high. We managed to knock off $2000.00 per year off the tax bill. Do the research in your area on the assessment. Look at recent sales but you cannot take into account foreclosures and short sales.

Dump a stock that is paying 3.4% dividend. Yea right keep dreaming. GE is just like every other US company trying to maximize profits.

Re: Zimmerman Why You shouldn't listen to 911 operator

The lesson to learn in both cases is to not call 9 11. -
If everyone locked their doors there would still be burglaries. It really doesn't matter.

I searched around on Google and can only find that someone tried to sell a used one for about $675.00 a few years back. Less than 400 of these made by Lew Horton. Are you going to fire it?
-
Does it really matter how the guy gained access??? Do you think a locked door has stopped a burglar before??

This is what I have been saying all along. I really don't think Obama wants to touch any gun issues. As a matter of fact didn't he sign a bill letting people inside national Parks carry? I could be wrong but I would have been more worried if Hillary Clinton became president.

Ejector problem maybe.
