  1. I have not seen a kid delivering papers since I was a kid. Businesses are very reluctant to hire a 14 yr old because of NJ Child Labor laws. For a kid to mow a lawn and shovel snow implies that their parents imparted a little ambition in them outside of the X Box babbysitter. My son is 8 and can not wait to turn 14 because the conductors at Allaire Park told him he could work the train yard then. He loves trains. But it is very difficult for a 14 yr old to get hired. I worked retail in the 90's and we would not hire until 18. My company did not want to deal with the labor laws. Do you think it's only the labor laws? Or do you think there are menial jobs that American won't do? And are occupied by others.
  2. I got blasted the other day when I saing NJ had NO Castle Doctrine. I was told NJ has a Castle Doctrine but not TOO Strong. LOL What you have posted above is my understanding of NJ Law. That's some castle isn't it. LOL
  3. Why do you think there are no jobs for kids? Mowing lawns, shoveling snow, Paper routes, stocking shelves at the supermarket?
  4. You mean you shouldn't fire a pistol sideways with the magazine horizontal? But, that's the way it came out of the box?
  5. I have such mixed feelings about this Sh*t. All this BS about two 22 rounds seems ridiculous. While on the other hand there is so much sick stuff going on. Is it because we don't isolate the sick little bas#$rds that used to go to "reform school"? I'm really tired of all this PC stuff. When I'm shooting with the grandkids I have to make sure they don't leave with any spent cases, BB's no less live rounds. I don't really know what the answer is. I just know firearms education can't hurt. Arming teachers? I wish I could say I could trust all the teachers I know with a firearm. How's this for a visual? An M-16 in a glass case next to the fire extinguisher in the classroom. LMAO
  6. Congrat! Glad to see your hard work paid off. Post a 5 shot target for us.
  7. Man! It's freezing today and cabin fever is setting in. If anybody has any ties to an indoor range a Zombie Shoot would be welcomed. Shooting Zombies is very theraputic as well!
  8. OK I'm done. A ciascuno il suo
  9. Bob, nobody should be ridiculed. The ridiculers should be flogged. Notice I said flogged no gun violence here. I trust my legal council and will continue my practices just as a measure of safety from "The Other" threat. Thirteen ball rounds are a deterent. Just remember it's not the arrow it's the Indian. And Bob, you are very polite and well writen. Thank you
  10. The legal consensus I recieved was don't keep them in your home defense gun. Look at the last paragraph of the link. The state wants them very restricted. I think the bottom line is NJ not having a "Castle Doctrine" is that if there is a defensive shoot inside the home you most likely will be prosecuted and will have to beat it. If you use a hollow point you may be charged with excessive force being that it is a very regulated item. I know it sounds crazy. But NJ law is crazy. You realize if you are confronted by an intruder threatening to do you bodily harm, in NJ your first obligation is to flee before returning deadly force. Sorry to have started a mess here but these are the realities and understanding them might have people realize what a messed up state this is.
  11. Here's the statute link. I see your confusion. It doesn't spell it out. But for our own good throw a FMJ cannon ball instead of a hollow point. http://www.state.nj.us/njsp/about/fire_hollow.html
  12. That is totally incorrect. Read the state statute. OK what does the statute say? This is my lawyers opinion. Prove it wrong. Do you know even LEO's carrying under HR218 and not on official business can't carry hollow points in NJ. Just covered this at Gun for Hire as well. Show me! I don't want to start a P!$$ing contest but you're wrong.
  13. We can buy HP ammo in NJ, so why do you say HP are a no, no in NJ? btw. I may be interested in trade for the 9mm FMJ bullets (maybe 1K or 2K) I can trade ammo: .30-06 (Remington - only 2 boxes), Wolf 7.62x39, or 223 PM me if interested. You are absolutely correct we can buy all the HP ammo you want in NJ. Just don't use them for defense. At one point I couldn't get Zero FMJ's so Target Barn called and asked if I wanted HP's. I called the ANJRPC lawyer and he said they're fine to use for target(I needed ammo for a match) but don't use them for defense. Go figure!!! So I'll load hot soft points for defense. NJ suks, it is what it is!!
  14. Took the class Friday 12/4. Instructor, Charlie I think, was great! Anthony was personable and entertaining as usual, "Even a Caveman could do it!" I did. LOL
  15. Sounds like a good deal. I'll be looking at them. Thanks!
  16. See, your avatar scared the hell out of me I had to apologize. LOL
  17. Montana Gold, I shoot 115gr FMJ 4000 for $290 free shipping. But, I certainly will look at Zero for soft points since hollow points are a defense NO, NO in NJ. 500 soft points should last a long time.
  18. What is wrong with English being the "Official Language"? Are you afraid of not being PC? My grandparents spoke a foreign language at home. But spoke the defacto Official Language, english, in public. Sorry, that sounds the way it should be. Open to other opinions... There is nothing wrong with English being the official language of the US. For the sake of this discussion, I was trying to stay off that topic. Yes, if it were up to me English would be the official language. I didn't want to use the official language issue as a basis for my anti-ILLEGAL-immigration viewpoint. No, I do not have a problem with LEGAL immigration. Cool, Sorry if I offended you. Now I understand your point
  19. In a sense, we already do. It's called Section 8 housing provided for by the fed. And don't forget zero down loans that now the gonernment is preventing forclosure on. That's free housing.
  20. Zero makes only lead? Right? I buy jacketed bullets from Montana Gold and their shipping is free as well. Only thing minimum order is 1000. Real price break on the 9mm FMJ's I buy start at 4000. If anybody needs 115gr FMJ's I'm willing to trad some for other stuff. Primers or powder.

  22. Good point. Same with STI. In todays competitive market, good cutomer service is a plus because you can only cut prices so much and customer service becomes the competitive edge. Kind of thing I would stay away from...Norinco
  23. I have an STI Spartan which has an Armscorp barrel, slide, and frame. STI is a high end pistol but I bought this Spartan for $630 out the door. It's an import but still covered by STI's lifetime Warrentee. BTW it has all forged STI parts inside.
