  1. Somebody needs suppressor height sights.
  2. Just a heads up and I'm sure you all are aware that there are states in which you must notify the LEO that you are CCW at traffic stops. This is the case in SC where I live. So after I greet the LEO that's the first thing I tell him. Automatically give him DL and CWP. Most recently as I was going for my wallet he asked where the weapon was. I just tapped my hip with my wallet and said "right here". All went smooth of course.
  3. Yep Hobby guns w/ 3000 rds probably gas rings if the gas key is tight. Just encountered one of these on a S&W AR.
  4. Look! There was mention of a 22lr. Dog sized game w/ a 22lr and a body shot even the heart is many times a pass through with little effect until the hemorrhaging starts. I've dispatched big feral cats with CCI Mini Mags HP head shots and even after they're down they're kicking. So body shots? When you were hunting coy I'm sure you weren't using a 22lr and were they running? And BTW 22lr HPs were a pass through. Not arguing just giving you my experience.
  5. I love animals. I love my wife. My wife was mauled by a neighbor's dog. Which side do you think I line up on? If a stray dog is on my property and I've been loosing livestock, there's only one solution if the owner is irresponsible. Five shots? Ever shoot at a dog or coyote on the run?
  6. I still don't understand..A steel pin broke? That's beyond weird. And to your point Griz...I won't carry a pistol Yes pistol not revolver, That has been assembled and unfired. Period! If you look at reliability stats. The greatest frequency of failure is after assembly. And yes machinery stats and reliability was my job. Yes I carry a dirty pistol.
  7. I heard third party that 3 noncompliant mags have been surrendered to Andover PD (not sure if PD or trooper barracks) Oh BTW I've shot my first two deer with a suppressed rifle. Supersonic ammo but it does take the blast out.
  8. Old School

    Glock 43X

See what NSSF's stance was on the bump stock issue. Have fun...
  9. So now on the PA side of the border we can expect fireworks stands and magazine stands. Ah...Now NJSP have double the locations to stake out... All in jest folks!!!!!!!!!!
  10. You're right I should have known better. Now my Everyday Carry is an AR pistol in 300BO w/ 30 rd mag
  11. I refer you to this line in the original post... not interested in any legal bullcrap from the "lawyers" here either, were in NJ I get it.
  12. @revenger - Forget these armchair commandos I as many of you know lived in bear country many years, in the heart of it. If a bear is non threatening and you want to get it out of your territory, Bear quality rubber buckshot works. It may send him into a different territorial zone. Even a rubber slug .But, not the LE stuff, Real bear stuff. And, you don't want to permanently injure the poor bastard. You MUST shoot it in the fleshy part of the ass. It's certainly big enough. Definitely not the face or head or I will call you douche bag. Threatening bears are a different story or even non-threatening if you just want immediate action. (like they're in your garbage) Air horn in left hand 12ga w/ rifled slug in right. Bears aren't really complex. You may have an adolescent male looking for territory. I have compassion for them, yes they were here first and all you f'ing city people encroached. But manage them. You're the top of the food chain. BTW Lightfield makes a complete line of bear deterrent slugs and buckshot in rubber.
  13. Such humility!! You've often heard me say "It's not the arrow it's the Indian" Now that being said...."A crooked arrow doesn't shoot straight" Nice job Chris. You've discovered another talent.
  14. The lead thing I'm up in the air about. Some of it I can buy some not. Where I can get on board is with solid copper bullets being better bullets and they are not prohibitively expensive. Yep, I pay a buck a piece for solid copper 30cal 180's and 200's but that's the exception. They're for subsonics. But for the Barnes 62gr .224 I pay about 60 cents a piece. About the same price or cheaper than Nosler Partitions.(lead core) Absolutely, I do have a hard on for BS pseudoscience. But improved bullet technology I can embrace.
  15. BINGO!! Though it appears because of their construction you can use a lighter bullet for a given purpose. Drive it faster and it won't blow apart (or so they say) I'm driving 62gr Barnes TSX at 3300 (22 Nosler) and am confident it will put down deer.
  16. You just like the story (which is based on a real guy) because of his heritage. And mine to a degree. Excellent film!
  17. I was reluctant to post because of my bias. Sightron is my choice in brands. Jap glass very clear (same as Vortex and Nightforce) Moderate price comparatively. Excellent customer service. (they're here in Georgia) Loads of horizontal / vertical adjustment (I shoot to 800yds without 20MOA bases) A patented a adjustment system. Always passes a box test. Loads of models. I wouldn't buy the cheapest but their top tier stuff is unequalled. Check them out.
  18. Pretty solid red yet. Lost a few house seats. Red senators and going to stay that way. State legislature is mixed with a red majority. Executive legislature is red. Pretty safe for now.
  19. Weather sux here too..I'm not hunting tonight it's 48 overcast and raw
  20. Rob - I'd never make fun....Hey I'm the stupid fuck that lost a match last Saturday because I cross fired. Well the guy next to me liked the extra 10 points.
  21. Bully - Please chime in here... 7.62X39 is an inherently accurate cartridge bases on its similarity to the 6mm/30PPC benchrest cartridge. In a good accurate rifle with good ammunition they are renouned to be a laser beam.
