  1. How would one go about a FTF out of state long arm sale to a private individual?
  2. I reload 12ga rounds with 3/4oz at around 1150 FPS. Out of a heavy 12GA its like shooting a .410, except it performs AWESOME. %82 pattern density with a mod choke at 40 yards!
  3. Lets put it this way... on or before the court date... your door may ring, and the LEO will be there for your firearms. Better have some cash they cant confiscate, than firearms. You can always buy firearms back. Oh jesus christ..is your tinfoil on tight enough Mak??? if they didnt take them on the night of the Incident they WONT be taking them unless there is a conviction involved, or a whole lot left out of the story as told. Do you have ANY Frigging idea how much of a nightmare it is to deal with Firearms in a DV case? There are TWO requirements where the firearms must be siezed. #1, if a weapon was used in the commission of the DV incident. #2 if a Domestic Violence Restraining Order is issued by a Judge. As long as the OP hasnt left anything out, then he SHOULD be in the clear. I'm NOT saying he shouldnt seek the advice of an attorney, he absolutely should. So tell me why I know someone who had a nearly identical situation, and had the guns taken? Sure, those 2 requirements werent met but since when do they care? He spent thousands on a lawyer and got the guns back....trashed. You put too much faith in our system.
  4. Handguns: 50-100 My 700 target rifle: 20 tops Mil surp blasters, 100ish my SAR-2 (AK74)....500 is the norm  (and thats only about 50 bucks!  )
  5. I'de sell all of the guns, keep good records of the sale, and hang tight till everything clears (hopefully). Dont risk your investment(s) getting taken or taken and returned later trashed. Just sell them and cut your losses short. I'm suprised they havent been taken already.
  6. If you ever are in the bridgewater area, I reload match grade .308 for my 700 with a lee breech lock single stage and I can show you how its done.
  7. The grooves fine. If it was dangerous it wouldnt be there. Whether its in a mosin or a MG the round still behaves the same. Pistols leave much more brass unsupported than that notch.
  8. Ammo of unknown origin: bad. But yeah, it shouldnt do that. and you probably already know but DO NOT FIRE SET BACK AMMO the preassure goes nuts when they are seated in like that. I'de chamber a round like usual and then extract it to make sure that your not setting them ALL back even a little during the normal cycle.
  9. Should be just for the FID. You dont need prints for PPs (after the FID) unless your in one of those crazy towns that enjoys law breaking.
  10. I heard something similar from my PD awhile ago. They are centralizing the print taking, and going to do it electronically. You would get a referal from your local PD.
  11. No prob! If you get one, I'de print that page out and carry it with the rifle just incase you come across one of NJ's "finest" whom "knows" the laws, if you know what I mean :?
  12. Wood & Blued or bust! S&W K38 target masterpiece model 14-3 with orig. S&W target stocks
  13. Right, but the question is more of how to adress it. Just Attn Cheif so-and-so? And just throw the slip in there with nothing else right?
  14. I understand with a private pistol transfer what to do with all the forms....except the one that goes to the municipality. Do I really just adress it Attn to the chief, stuff the slip in an envelope and send it off? It seems weird sending it to the chief (thats my issuing authority)
  15. Walmart sells very expensive winchester stuff, nothing cheap like wolf. The cabelas sale is good but usually your best bet is online from either AIM, J&G, or sportsmansguide
  16. Like I said, HOW you get on the list is another issue. I dont agree with that crap. But if your on the list and got there legitimatly then I see no problems barring them from gun buying.
  17. Cass WV has a scenic RR that runs several steam Shay logging locomotives. Unique and very interesting locomotives (and the whistle echoes are AWESOME!) they go up an 11% grade at one point which is INSANE (on mainline, 1% is gettin' up there)
  18. I actually dont see anything wrong with the article, am I the only one? I also support NICS no-going suspected terrorists on the no fly list (how they get on the list however is another issue)
  19. Bolt pros: Easy to clean Easy to maintain Easy to accurize Easy and much more flexable to reload for Not ammo picky at all More accurate and powerfull (especially if you reload, you dont want to push max loads through an auto!) Action lasts forever Cons: Doesnt shoot as fast. You can see where I stand!
  20. I find that when you put only a bullet in a pistol, nothing happens  . If your speaking of complete rounds/cartridges, anything goes. Wolf isnt as bad as people say it is. I like federal myself in 9mm (not sure if its the same relative quality as in .40 S&W)
  21. They wouldnt even send a BP rifle to an FFL here!
  22. Give them to me for proper disposal
