  1. My guess... ever notice that some trains have two locos, one facing front and one facing rear? the rear one is called the dummy locomotive. the dummy may have had its camera running at the time of the accident.
  2. OMG, thats insane. the ending freaked me out when the tanker came flying up and nailed the loco. that is scary stuff... although derailments are a usual occurrence on my train layout.
  3. I have the M&P OR. i wasnt sure what those holes were under the gas block. Now i am deff going to look into the push button detach swivel. i thought about getting the Magpul or Tapco, but i think this would be better for me. Thanks guys!
  4. Lots of useful info here, esp since Im currently looking for a 2pt sling for my S&W M&P15. My only issue is that my AR does not have a front sling attachment. The only things my search shows me are sling attachments for rails. Is there anything out there for basic handguards?
  5. Middletown opened at 4.... i wish i knew that at 7AM this morning when I tried to get in.
  6. right turn off topic, +1 on the RIA, next purchase. OK left turn back to topic.
  7. Do you know how many guns or how much ammo i could have purchased with the checks ive been writing for student loans and car payments?? one word.... ALOT!!! In fact i just wrote a check to Subaru for a car payment. i COULD have purchased a Rock Island M1911 or an @$$ load of .22 ammo.
  8. i was there three weeks ago when i bought my M&P15. i must have missed that one. i think i was too focused on the Garands they had.
  9. Im inspired to clean my M&P 15 tonight now... thank you!!!
  10. wow, i didnt even know that place was there... must have walked passed it many times before too. this is too funny...
  11. Yeah, and get rid of that nasty Yankee jersey! Dont get rid of it!! could make a nice gun cleaning rag for those nice shoties
  12. Being a poor college graduate , I still live at home with the parents who think that i should not be spending my hard earned money on firearms. So when i bought my 1897 Winchester (thank goodness its the takedown), i snuck in the receiver in my backpack first, then the front half in the next day. The SKS is an another story...
  13. Nice! i got the 2.5i and i love that thing!! mines the same color too.
  14. how about the new challenger How about the old challenger?
  15. Nice! Is that just a regular rail mounted under the hand guard?
  16. Blcklightning- just saw your S&W in the gallery thread. shes a beauty!
  17. Thank you guys for the comments!! and BBK, thank you for your recommendations / info on sights. I deff want to get folding sights (no question about that). Later on, i will look into some form of optics, mainly a red dot scope... or a Trijicon scope. Im actually looking at a set of NC Star front and rear folding sights on eBay right now. Im really hellbent on getting some form of sights on this... cause otherwise i would have to use the 'pray and spray' method at the range... and that might be frowned upon
  18. After doing months and months of research, I finally took the plunge and bought an AR. Picked it up on Saturday. She's a S&W M&P15 in 5.56 NATO (stock is pinned, no muzzle break / compensator, no bayo lug, etc etc). After I replenish my bank account, I am going to look into a set of iron sights. I kind of like the look of the carrying handles, so i am going to look into one of those. But what is a good front sight to use with the carrying handle? Any suggestions would be awesome. But for now, please enjoy my pics. The first is just me having fun with some items from my military collection and sorry for the bad pics. my camera is horrible.
  19. HAHA i love family guy LOL
  20. 'Logistics Assistant'.... aka shipping and receiving. Not my dream job, but for a recent college graduate, itll do. Steady pay check, normal business hours, and free weekends, cant really complain.
  21. Even though I havent purchased anything yet from Shore Shot, they are more then willing to help. Last time i was there, i was just looking at RIA 1911 in the glass case. One of the workers (dont remember who it was) came over and spent some time talking to me about the transfer process and misc info about the pistol itself. I think I spend more time window shopping then actually shooting
  22. Ive lived in Red Bank my entire life and I always hear that. Never actually been in there to eat (usually just to go to HobbyMasters). Parking always sucks. But since theres a lot of positive comments about some of the places there, i might try to hit them up. Oh... and dont forget Gus's Hot Dogs in Red Bank, by the tracks.
  23. If my girlfriend hadn't dumped me recently, I probably would have gotten her another bracelet or necklace AND an expensive dinner AND a movie. Man, was she high maintenance.
