  1. I saw that one this morning. very cool show. It was funny when they said that they were afraid to shoot the million $ Luger. Couldnt blame them. Heck, i would be afraid to even look at it.
  2. My supervisor called me at 600AM to tell me the office was closed! Im soo happy. Last snow day i had was in college last year
  3. +1 on that, ive had mine for only three years and i plan on keeping it much longer. it was the greatest birthday gift i have ever received.
  4. as of ten minutes ago... nothing in Red Bank.
  5. I just plan on being lazy, watching mindless action movies, and MAYBE clean out the basement. oh... never mind, got to clean the .22 from an evening at the range a few weeks ago.
  6. One of those situations where something bad happens or something gets screwed up and everyone blames you, but you did not do anything wrong and you know you are right but cant prove it. Happened today at work. It put me in such a bad mood. im just starting to cool off from it... Oh, and +1 on the slow drivers in the fast lane. I take the parkway every day to and from work. Mornings are OK. but coming home always sucks... There is ALWAYS someone doing 64 in the fast lane with NO ONE in front of them. You cant even pass them because there is always another car next to them doing the same speed limit. AND... (one more thing)... where the parkway divides into the Expressway and Local (just passed Raritan and Asbury toll Plazas), apparently thats when people realize that they want to be on the expressway and just cut you off...
  7. I have an ammo can that I bought at a flea market for $5 many years ago. just used it for display until i got my first gun, now it holds my .22 ammo. Its good because it has the rubber ring to keep moisture out... since i store my ammo in the basement.
  8. I cant say I was not looking for them. However if I could give advice it would be to get there around 8-9 ish. I went early and the Gun Library was mobed around 11:30 am when I left. The gun library was indeed very impressive. They had rifle ammo stacked all over the place. Gotcha. Thanks for the advice too!! Thats one of the reasons I really want to go. I always see pictures of it, but im dying to check out the gun library.
  9. I was debating on going to the one in Hamburg PA. But it looked as though it was going to snow (like it is now). so i stayed home. Might go next weekend. Kind of a random question... but do you remember seeing any black powder revolvers there?
  10. CCR -- "Green River" then might switch over to some Clapton.
  11. +1. Whenever the Allentown show is happening, i make sure im there. totally worth the drive. The first time i attended the show (two years ago i think) the FIRST thing i see when i walk in is two guys walking around with M1 carbines on their shoulders.
  12. I love how they have the bayo on the SKS extended... nice over-under shotgun too...
  13. My other hobbies are building model cars (cant afford a nice GTO or Challenger yet so i do the next best thing), model railroading (HO scale), and collecting WWII field gear. 67gtonut- is that roof painted black? no vinyl? thats sharp looking!
  14. Chad- thats a sweet tank!! coral or not, thats a real beauty!
  15. i never started, i dont plan on it either. nor do i drink... i just eat... alot
  16. -Like everyone else said... lose some weight and lower cholesterol. -Starting a new job on monday, so I am hoping that it works out. -Buy an M1 Garand and/or 1911 -Meet a nice girl. -clean out the basement
  17. Those are too cool to be NJ legal just playing. nice collection! I love the WASR, very classic looking.
  18. thanks, the stock is was really drew me in to buy the rifle. I always see the chinese sks's with the lighter wood. but something about this darker wood makes it more 'sinister' i guess. I dont know. I just love this thing and cant wait to fire it.
  19. Thanks Hodgie. I was pretty impressed with the stock too when I first saw it. Has the matching serial numbers stamped in and all. definitely a keeper and certainly not my last. looking forward to also taking it to the range and testing it out.
  20. My little collection so far: 10/22 Ruger, Winchester 1897 12ga., and Romanian SKS.
  21. Sounds like a plan! I like going to shore shot at the beginning of the week (cheaper to rent a lane then on the weekend). But Ill shoot you a PM next time im heading there. (no pun intended).
  22. thats pretty neat. esp seeing my little 10/22 as number 12 on the list. and between my grandfathers collection and mine, only three of ours are on the list. but im curious... how come the photos of the Mauser and the 1903 have black synthetic stocks? why didnt they just use an pic of them with the original wood or something?
  23. Its great isnt it? I worked my a** off to graduate with a bachelors, and the job market tanks, now Im doing security. Ive been promoted to a supervisor, but still, it sucks. I know there are alot of people out there much worse off than I am, so I really cant complain. Im in the same boat. I graduated in May 09 with my BA... and im working two part jobs (both in retail). Everyone I talk to says the same thing... "You picked a great time to graduate." And its really hard to find something 'entry level' now too. I am able to pay my bills on time though with these part time jobs, so i really cant complain too much. And thank you for creating this thread, Maksim. This will deff help with landing a full time career.
  24. omg i love the subject heading in the last email with the shark eating the person LMAO These things are great!! Cant stop laughing.
