  1. This blows!

One of the reasons I bought the PSL was for the ability to use cheap 54r ammo. F me, right?

    Yeah man,

    Lets see some pics.

I sold mine a few years ago........kicking myself daily. Remember this is a marksman rifle and the barrell will get hot fast. So you wont shoot hundreds in one session.

Why dont you just buy brass and reload.

  2. Expect to save about 30% of the price you pay, maybe even more depending on how much you buy the components for.

You re looking at an investment of around 4-500$ before you save any money. You can buy all components so you dont have to pick uo brass. Just save your own. Of course when someone is firing new brass at the range and they dont want it why not pick it up.

How much can you load in an hour depends on you and your setup......but you just mentioned you have free time so....

Start reading first and buy a good reloading manual. Lyman, Hornady all of them have one.

    Read this short intro first

  3. Apply for 15 more just because now.

Dont they realize that its potentially more paperwork for them to do when you apply for a new ones now.

Luckily my town renews expred permits in one day as long as the 180 days have not elapsed of course.................and if the chief is there in 15min.

  4. Hello Everyone,

    A year ago i bought a SW Model 57 in 41 Magnum.

Its a bit of an oddball round however i shot a few 44 Mags before i bought this and found the recoil not fun as in something i cant shoot more than 5-10 rounds without pain so i got this. Its been very fun shooting it and i can shoot rounds and rounds without any recoil issue. As ammo is hard to find and expensive i v been reloading to lower the costs.

I see on the web there is many different opinions on the round especially vs 44 Mag as the round came to market after the 44 Magnum.

Do you have a gun in 41 Magnum and what s your experience with it?

  5. Why? Is this somehow RTSP's fault?

I m sure they ve considered every angle and made a decision to do this as the best for their bussiness and best regarding the unfortunate event.

  6. All great points, and I appreciate the time you are taking to explain. Funny enough, I dropped the paperwork off with the Chief, as the duty officer who handles the firearms processing was not in. I also got the feeling that "Chief" is not a fan of civi gun ownership. Some of his comments went the way of- just let the police handle everything. It's our job. So I suspect this is, as you mentioned. "deliberate" one to discourage ownership.

When I moved back to NJ, and went in for my FPID renewal, duty officer asked me if I was going to register any firearms, knowing it was " at will" I said, I don't think I am required to, Chief comes from around the corner and says, You are correct, you don't have too, I might be crazy, but I think at that point they did not like that I had some info on how the law worked.

I will make a call again next week, as I will be nearing the 2 month mark.

Of course they didnt like you had info. You might ask them to do their paoerwork on time next ...hahaa.

God forbid they have the State Police cover the policing of a 3500 person town. I saw their website. One chief, one Sgt and 5 patrolmen. Only positive thing is that they do have the ICE contact info and how to make a complaint on top of their website.

Call your mayor or a council member preferably the one that is up to be to be re elected soon if the chief delays further and the squeaky wheel will get greased.

If i was you i would not change the Drivers License to NJ and keep buying in America.

  7. I use FireClean on my AK Bolt and on one of my handguns. The handgun is in storage now so i ll see what happens after a long time. So far no problems.

I ve had bad experiences with GUNZILLA though in the same way that TBill is describing fireclean s issues above. After a while it turns into a brownish cosmiline like gunk that is hard to remove and cakes.

  8. Best place in NJ is Jersey CIty's Exchange Place section - the pier next to the Hyatt Hotel. Dead on view of the WTC.

If you want a real close up, the best place in NYC to view the WTC is at the Living Room bar at the Downtown W Hotel (Tribeca).

I second the exchange place section. Google J Owen Grundy Park and its straight across from WTC
