    I`m a lefty with rifles and i shoot handguns with my right hand. :pardon:

     

    There is nothing that you can`t learn how to shoot , load, unload fast given enough practice.

     

    I`ve had the problem to adapt to different setups on rifles because i couldn`t find them in lefty configuration back in Europe or it was simply as a situation of necessity.

     

    It`s all about practice. But since you have an abundance of lefty stuff here in the US for Glocks , Sigs...etc........ you can find alomst anyting in ambi configuration and go with that.

     

    I`m sure more handgun lefties will chime in with their own experiences.

    Sounds like the way I roll, buy the fun stuff first, accessories later. I'm actually looking around a bit at the moment, Once I get a little bit more cash together, a Mauser will likely be my next purchase. I'll probably get a Mosin too, simply because I want to get one while the getting's good, but hell, my nickname is Kaiser, and I'm mostly kraut, may as well get the K98 first.

     

     

     

    Saw a real good one at Cabela`s a few weeks ago for 250$ (Yugo M48) and got the impulse. Was tempted to buy it but the wife control girl_werewolf.gifkicked in since she knew i was saving up for a .30-06 bolt action.

    I`ve also seen K98`s over there for about 400$ last year in mediocre condition. Don`t worry about reloads, even if you shoot cheap corrosive milsurp Yugo ammo you can clean it up good http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting/corrosive/index.asp and you won`t have a problem.

    You can buy long guns at PA Gun Shows, you ll need your FID and COE for NJ (have printed copies in case the seller doesn`t have them).

     

     

    As added by others: You can only buy long guns (no handguns) form an FFL , not from an individual).

     

    You can see a lot of MilSurps there and that s the only thing i buy there.

     

    For all other guns..........i try to support local NJ FFL`s...........i recommend you do the same.

    I'm in Ringoes and I'm looking to get a membership at Classic Pistol in Southampton. I did look into SCFGPA, but it's a private club and the membership requirements are a bit daunting. EFGA might be an option, but it's a bit further from my home than Southampton. It's also an un-lit outdoor range, so I wouldn't be able to shoot during the week for almost half the year - it would be dark by the time I could get there after work.

     

    Whichever range I decide on, since the law says I have to go home first to retrieve my gun, that's what I'll have to do.

     

    EFGA wouldn`t serve the purpose if you re looking into after dark shooting, you are right.

     

    I go to Targetworld in Chalfont,PA , Maybe you should look into it. Open till 9am weekdays except monday. I think the annual membership should be the same as classic pistol and the distance would be the same , but since Chalfont is on 202 maybe easyer to get to for you.

    This range is the closest to my home and work. I live in Hunterdon county and work in Mercer. It's a dead zone for shooting ranges.

    Which range in Bucks are you joining ?

     

    There is a few places that you can go near Hunterdon County after you pick up your stuff at home
