j0n,
Thanks for letting me shoot the HK, Hi-Power and the Ruger. I have a good idea of how the calibers feel like now.
Great event everyone. Will come to a future meetup.
Cheers
Igor

I was thinking of the Ruger MK3 as a 22lr ,
Budget is around under 1K all in.
For the other one a compact revolver steel.
I would shoot them very often since i go to the range every other week with rifles. I would not use them as a HD weapons since i have a shotgun for that.

Hello Everyone,
Got 2 pistol permits on the way but i`ve never shot anything but a 9mm a few times.
I`m thinking one should be a .22lr to learn to shoot , but what about the other one ?
Any suggestions on what to get ?

They way I read this is that only if you do not have a compartment separate (e g trunk) then you must lock it , otherwise you don`t need to lock it. Am i wrong ?
Did the BH class say Locked no matter what ?
All firearms transported into the State of New Jersey:
- Shall be carried unloaded and contained in a closed and fastened case, gunbox, securely tied package, or locked in the trunk of the automobile in which it is being transported, and in the course of travel, shall include only such deviations as are reasonably necessary under the circumstances.
-
The firearm should not be directly accessible from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. If the vehicle does not have a compartment separate from the passenger compartment, the firearm and ammunition must be in a locked container other than the vehicle's glove compartment or console.
-
Hi,
Can you send a link or paste the portion of the statute that you are referring to when you mention Locked ?

I say.............FOCUS ....FOCUS..........FOCUS..............
Get rid of all of the extra stuff ..............Keep one of each if you really want to .............and concentrate on the Garand Variants...........use the Visa Cash Card for just ammo and/or accessories but finance your next trip from the milsurp extras.
At least you ll have to buy 1 type of ammo...............................

About time someone cracked down on this scam

I have a .223 Saiga and got it because of the .223 Rem available at any store in the US.
Good price on those Mags here as well as conversion parts:

Man you are really putting me out there! Remember, initially I will be in PA less often than in NJ, so I would like to be able to drive to it in reasonable time. Maybe the target location is west of Philly / east of Harrisburg?
I am looking for a smaller parcel, maybe 25-50 acres. I need to keep some money budgeted to build a cabin or something overhead. I think I will make a motorcycle trip over and see what the scenery looks like!
Plenty of lots/land on Trulia.com .......I did go way out west though......subconscious desire to get away myself as far as possibble

Congratulations
I go to Sportsman`s Rendesvous sometimes to get brass ammo for my PSL. Did they have it in stock or you had to wait a few days? They have a good handgun selection.
