  1. I bought one this spring and have had it out a couple of times at cherry ridge. I love it and it eats everything i've put through it. I am considering changing the sights though. good luck with it and have fun.
  2. The time I made it in 6.5 hours there had just been a major snow storm that hit Ohio and PA and all of the spots where cops sit had 2 feet of snow in them. I hit the PA border doing 85mph, got past by a guy doing 95mph and caught up to him. Neither of us stopped until we hit the OH border and we never slowed to under 90 the whole time in PA. It was the best drive ever. I don't generally drive like that anymore. Older and wiser.
  3. I actually went to Ohio Wesleyan up in Delaware. 96-00. I caddied at Muirfield during the summers in Dublin. I had friends and family in Columbus, I had lived there from 86-90 and then went back for college.
  4. My yugo was the first rifle I ever bought. I love to shoot it. Fun, reliable, and not real expensive to shoot. I have also found mine to be very accurate. Enjoy.
  5. I use to drive between Columbus, Ohio and Montclair, New Jersey all the time. Went to college out there. 515 miles best time ever was 6 hours 37 minutes. Chevy Cavalier 1 tank of gas. Ran out across the street from school at the gas station.
  6. The same thing happened to me at Dick's in the Scranton, PA store 2 years ago. They had a great price on an 870 and I pulled out my FID card and was told we don't sell to Jersey residents. I was told it was Dick's corporate policy.
  7. I have a Bushmaster upper with an Hbar barrel and no muzzle break. And I just installed Troy's free float two piece quad rail handguards. Very easy to do.
  8. I can tell you my wife absolutely loves her job. I can also tell you that she has to buy many many supplies for her classroom with our money. Which I think is total BS. And we can only write off up to $250 on our taxes which is also a joke in that we spend at least 4 to 5 times that every year. I try to explain to her that that money is better spent on ammo and firearms, but she just doesn't listen to me. On a brighter note my wife and I many be burning through some of that ammo at Cherry Ridge tomorrow.
  9. My wife is a school teacher and every couple of months we have this type of discussion. She has been teaching for 5 years and makes a decent salary but nothing even close to what some have posted on here. I do agree it is sickening how much some teachers make, however I would never want their job. I hear the stories from my wife on a regular basis concerning the lack of discipline taught at home and the absolute lack of caring by the parents. Hell half of the parents of her kids don't even speak english. Talk about communication issues. This coming from a guy who runs a 70 bed rehab facility. I have a lot of respect for good teachers who work their tails off to try and truly help their students. But there are too many out there now that are strictly in it just for the paycheck or should be fired for not being effective teachers.

  11. Got my first gun from The Bullet Hole. They were great. Found a used Beretta 92fs Vertec (near perfect). They held for me for 3 months while I waited for my FID and pistol permits. And it came with 8 mags and at a great price. Great gun and will never part with it.
  12. Same thing with my dad. He was always a no guns in the house type of person. Finally he went shooting a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Since then i've been trying to talk him into at least a 12 ga for protection at home. Then out of the blue he calls me two days ago and starts asking about buying a shotgun and what to look for. I am so proud of him. Baby steps.
  13. Thanks. Unfortunately I don't get out and shoot enough and I live only ten minutes from the Bullet Hole. New Years resolution - shoot more, shoot more often.
  14. First post here. Wanted to say hi and thank you for all the great info on this site. Thought I might share a couple pics of some of the family. [image]/image]
