    Guess

    Functional? I doubt it!
  2. Thanks, this info is helpful. As I interpret what you posted, it would seem to me that its not worth it to go SBR until said time you have to. The point in being able to go back and forth would be to travel out of state. But based on your posts, it is indeed still subject to NFA even with the brace back on. So it probably makes the most sense to SBR an alternate lower.
  3. Indeed it is amazing how a tiny bit off impacts it. Leaves me scratching my head a bit.
  4. Johnny, how are you insuring the gas block hole and gas port are aligned at installation?
  5. I found some documentation on atf site but in each case of making title 2 into title 1, the nfa offending item was disposed of, destroyed or modified into title1. Appreciate whatever you can dig up.
  6. Paul, are you sure of this? 2 local ffl's said you cannot bounce between 1 and 2.
  7. Look up 6xc. Guys getting close to 3k on them.
  8. Yea, they went to the 6's for better barrel life among other things. Replacement barrels for my rig are $1400 But I still cant figure out where this cartridge lives. The only thing that looks like it makes some sense is extended range hunting which I really cant speak to, Im not knowledgeable on the subject. But hey, I like new cartridges because I like options!
  9. Yea but Im betting your really entering into overbore territory. Which of course is probably going to result in shorter barrel life than a 6.5cm. Which flies in the face of current trends in PRS style shooting competitions that seem to be moving toward better barrel life. It raises the question for me that if you need more energy at distance, then why not just stick with a magnum?
  10. Wegmans, CVS, Walgreens, the list is growing fast of businesses targeting open carry.....
  11. Equally concerning is, if you listened to the senate and the heads of Google, Amazon etc etc discuss, they were all willing to jump in bed with the govt to "assist" by giving them whatever tools and cooperation they needed to look at the data !!!!!

Well, I was more thinking the equivalent which would be the APX RDO which is in the 600 range I think. I Like the pistol, I hate the worn off road tire tread slide treatment

Handled at the LGS. Build quality seemed satisfactory. But ergonomics, I didn not like how it felt! It felt very narrow in the backstrap area and that leads me to believe it would feel like shooting a super slim subcompact. But that was just my impression. The Beretta APX on the other hand, had a great feel to it! Id cough up a little more coin and go APX if it were me.
  15. And the attractiveness can really take a nose dive if you have an msar/tavor/aug at around 26.5 with a full 16" barrel! My X95 and my Bren for a length comparison. And the Bren isn't fully extended!
  16. "What I dislike however is that there is a lot of bad mouthing going on behind the scenes and outright lies, many of which I have to call BS on and correct the companies and reps. Only one vendor has not said anything bad about their competitors. This really reminds me of what you find in the suppressor community... " That is the vast majority of the gun industry. I think this is mostly driven from the industry wide incestural relationship of companies hiring personalities to run sales instead of actual business people.
  17. Unless an actual MK18, 11.5 seems to be best minimum for enough dwell time etc etc.
  18. PK, that is exactly my question. If the same firearm has the brace on and is a pistol at that time, it's not subject to NFA while in that config? Or only when you swap for the stock?
  19. Are you using a bit or are you using a cutter with a pilot?
  20. The challenge, from what I understand, is finding a PA FFL willing to do so.
  21. I agree. But if you look at the way red flag laws are done in some other states, there is a substantial burden of proof, equivalent to having someone committed. Unfortunately I think it will be much more whimsical in NJ
