  1. Guess that's how busy they are . You would think, and I know thinking isn't strong among most Gov't employees that if I have 4 stamps in process that once they do all the background stuff that they could clear all four... Would be a lot less work and time.
  2. Hey Bryan come on down. Weather has been great. You and the wife are more then welcome to stay with me.
  3. So after 8 weeks ATF finally cashed my check for the first of 2 SBRs. So now about another 4 month wait for approval. Hopefully my can stamp should be here this week.
  4. Was an excellent movie. I also liked the interviews that Fox did with 3 of the contractors and Michael Bay.
  5. Good read Shane. Too bad the people who need to see and understand this never take their head out of their asses long enough to see common sense. To easy to blame inanimate objects that scare them then face reality.
  6. I have a 6.5x47 and use the Lapua 136gr shooting them at 2650 fps out of a 22" barrel. Very mild loading so should last a long time. I have only loaded the brass once so far, have 400 of them and have been told you can easily get 12 or more loads on them. The cartridge will make you look good . Enjoy the new rifle.
  7. If you have the RPR you may find this link on Sniper's Hide inetresting. http://www.scout.com/military/snipers-hide/story/1616372-sniper-s-hide-complete-ruger-upgrade-review
  8. Haven't looked into that, thanks for the tip. This is new to me only been here since July.
  9. Yeah one of the reasons I went Thursday and submitted for an SBR and another suppressor. Just in case....
  10. I bought a Ruger LC9s at Shooters in Jacksonville. My suppressor and soon to be SBR from First Coast Firarms in St. Augustine. He is a nice guy and he just opened his range to the public. I haven't been there yet. Right now it is handguns and 200 yard rifle. He also has an 800 yard rifle but that is not currently open on a daily basis. We have been shooting at Bradford's Sportsman Club lately, they go out to 850 yards, but is an hour and 20 mins away.
  11. Great article. Thanks for sharing. My carry ammo is Speer Gold Dots so I was glad to see that they do well in the tests.
  12. You do know they are banned in NJ, right? The assault lamp. Very nice
  13. Yeah cause the ASL and prohibition worked so well...
  14. I wish they would make them from the factory in 6.5 so you wouldn't have to buy it in .308 and drop another $550 to get the other barrel.
  15. As always nice MW. How do you like the Omega suppressor? I have one in NFA jail.....
  16. I would save up a couple hundred more and get a Dan Wesson Valor in duty black. They are as close to a custom 1911 with a reasonable cost... The stainless model can be had for about $1400 and Ceramic black about $1700. Not cheap but made with all quality parts theirs and Ed Browns. I have a Springfield, an STI Lawman, an Ed Brown and 3 DW. My carry is a DW Eco. So I guess I am biased. But I have never had a single issue with the DW that I had with STI (finish) and Springer (broken hammer spring). Jimmy
  17. I got this one. http://silencerco.com/products/omega/ After reading a lot about different ones this seems to do everything well. I am going to have all the breaks cut off my rifles and get the comps attached. The shop I bought it from is going to do all the work for me.
  18. Hey Keith, Yes in a community called Nocatee. The place is great, plenty of amenities and things to do. I got my carry in 48 days here and have a suppressor in NFA jail, hoping for Christmas. The weather here was cooler than up in NJ for a good part of the summer and everyone I have met is really nice here. If you are thinking of Florida this is a great area. Jimmy
  19. On the website there are plans for making stands if you want paper targets. Also on the rifle ranges they have stand up boards to attach tagets to. Most people I shoot with there eventually get some steels targets to hear the satisfying ring as the bullet impacts.
  20. I put my bore snakes in old socks, separately and then wash. No tangles and not all over the place.
  21. Very nice, I love the triangle hand guards.
