  1. Shore Shot Pistol Range is proud to announce that we will be holding our first ever Glock Shooting Sports Foundation Indoor Match! The matches will be held on Monday January 24, 2011, February 28, 2011, and March 28, 2011 at 7pm - 10pm. This match is limited to members of GSSF Only! Shore Shot will be signing up members on the days of the shoot so if you are not already a member you will still be able to shoot in the event. GSSF memberships are $35 and renewals are $25. If you do not have a Glock pistol you can still shoot in our event by joining the GSSF and renting a pistol from the range (all rental guns must use our ammo). For this event we will honor member prices on the ammo for anyone renting to encourage them to shoot more in the match. A single shooter can shoot multiple times in a class by using a different firearm. It costs $15 for each entry into the match.

    As stated from Glock:

Competitors must compete in 2 out of the 3 matches in order to qualify for prizes. Scoring will be done of the Lewis Scoring System, and Plaques awarded to First Place A, B, and C Class winners.

All entries will be entered into a drawing for a Glock Pistol! For each entry into a match you will be entered into this drawing that will be picked at the March match at the end of the event. You do not have to be at this match in order to claim the prize.

We will also have a Glock Armorer on site for this match. We will also be offer special Discounts on all Glock Products. The storefront will still be open for these hours so even if you don't want to shoot the match come down and take advantage of the sale prices on such things as Night Sights, Glock Magazines, Holsters, and Range Bags! This sale will only be running during the hours of the Match.

This is our first time holding this event and we would like to make it a common thing so please come out and support us in this venture. We are very excited to offer this to the shooting community of New Jersey and look forward to planning our next one! Help make the event a success and good time for all!

  2. And just to clear it up. The reason for the backup is on Auto-Ord's webpage they listed the gun as a Post Ban Compliant "M1 Carbine". So you can all blame Auto-Ord for this mistake in clearly stating that it is a M1 Carbine. Thats the reason for the switch in decision from the MAN himself. As the LT and I had a lengthy conversation about this firearm.

  3.

    I see it as...

One dealer gets an OK for it... keeps it to himself.

Other dealers want it too and start calling themselves.

Before you know, you have 100 FFL's from the NY/NJ/PA area calling NJSP to get the blessing.

    NJSP backs up.

The Letter was to the Distributor, not the dealers Mak IIRC

no no, the letter was to the dealer. saw it myself.

The letter was to the distrubitor.

  4. There is no timeframe. The attorney general has to review it. Here is a copy of the email sent to me.

    Dear (Dealer Rep.),

As per our conversation this morning, and in reference to the above

enumerated firearm manufactured and sold by Kahr, and with regards to an

e-mail sent by me to Brick Armory of New Jersey on August 13, 2010, and

forwarded to Frank Harris of Auto Ordnance by them as an authorization to

legally sell the AOM140 in New Jersey, please be advised of the following:

The AOM140 is identified byAuto Ordnance documentation and web site as an M1

Carbine. This type of firearm is specifically named under New Jersey's

criminal law as an "assault firearm." Further research shows that, while the

AOM140 fits none of the criteria as a "substantially identical" firearm, it

may very well nonetheless fall under the New Jersey State Statute assault

firearm named "M1 carbine type." You are therefore advised that you are not

to ship these firearms to retailers not specifically licensed to have them

in New Jersey, until such time as a legal determination is made as to the

    specific rifle's "status."

    Thanks for you cooperation.

  5. Yes this gun is not legal yet. We recieved a call from the Lt. because we are one of the first dealers that are going to recieve these rifles. We have 8 waiting to be shipped. If you would like to buy one we will presell them pending approval from the state. If for some reason the state does not a approve them we will issue refunds.

  6. Ship it yourself if you can. Issue is, if an FFL takes possession, they have to log in the gun, ie, paperwork.

and do a nics to give it back.

this is not true.. that is only true if we take it in for sale. there are different log books for gun sales and gunsmithing. this would be put into a gunsmithing book and be allowed to be giving back to the owner once the gun comes back from repair.

  7. There was no msg. And i let andy know how I felt about not letting any one know. I sat around until 645 and let everyone know. I must have just missed you because I had asked if anyone had called and a couple said they did. The reason I didnt leave a note or stay around was because none of the regulars where there so I thought the word had gotten out. Sorry for any inconviences. Because the Fun Shoot is strictly a thing to have the members and users of the range have something fun to do and not an income maker.

  8. i just called the local pd to see what time i should go in to renew, they are little funny about that, she was like "90 days, 90 days!" i didnt tell her that it was past the 90 days, im just going to go in and see what happens... wish me luck!

Not sure what the whole point is to the 90 day thing anyway, the town gets a copy of the filled out permit anyway when it's used.. stupid, probably just another way to get your 2 bucks and make you wait.. I'm suprised they dont require photo's on the FID cards...

wish they would modernize the firearms ID card and get rid of the permits all together now with the 1 a month thing.. they are just a waste of time for the PD and trees.
