Any opinions? I'm considering both.

They have long guns and ammo now. I bought some Remington 9mm for 12.98 a box and Remington Thunder 22 box of 500 for 21.99.

What 45's do you have?

How often do you clean your magazines?

He mentioned that he is getting attitude during his weekly calls. If they are annoyed by his calls they are in a position to spite him. I would not call on a weekly basis and risk my application being placed at the bottom of a pile.

I don't think calling every week is optimal. You might want to make a call here http://www.evannappen.com/ . When I had questions about my specific circumstance he was more than willing to explain my options to me.

I remember shooting your 92F, I shot the PX4 when I took the Steps class with Anthony. Did you ever shoot a PX4?

I got 2 permits. The detective was very cool. He said that I don't really have to even wait 30 days between gun purchases, just to not try using both of them at the same time. Not sure if he is correct about that. I'm going to Shore Shot on Friday to try out the 220 and a bunch of others. I'm still not closed to the idea of a 1911. I was thinking about getting a Kimber Custom II or a Taurus PT1911, but I heard that they need a break-in period and are a little finicky and I don't want to get too complicated with my first pistol. I'm not sure which 9mm I want yet but so far the pistols I liked shooting were the Beretta PX4 and Walther 99.

I feared that I would hear that. Any non-1911's I should be looking at? This being my first gun I want to keep it simple. I am putting a larger value on dependability.

I shot a variety of 9mm's and a Dan and Wesson 1911. I like the DW the best. I thought there would be more recoil on a 45 but it shot smooth and accurate. I don't want a 1911 just ye,t but do want a 45. Should I get a SIG 220 without ever having fired one? Will I be disappointed after having fired a DW?

I figured as much. It was not the curly haired guy. The tip-off to me should have been when he called a magazine, a clip.

I was at Ramsey Paramus today. The guy behind the counter said that they had no 45ACP ammo and would not be getting any in the foreseeable future. He also mentioned new legislation in California limiting the purchase of ammo as a possible cause. Is this guy full of shit. I'm going to be getting my first handgun soon and I am considering getting a 45. Should I be reconsidering?

Spoke to my detective in Glen Ridge today. He said that he was waiting for the mental report which just came in today and that everything is looking good and that I will get a call early next week to pick up my FID and permits. If all goes well that will make it 7 weeks total. I'll post the stats when I get it in hand.
