  1. Yes that was John. A tough and fair and nice guy. He had problems with club management. I think he became an enemy of the state! LOL.
  2. CJRPC WAS a great place to shoot rifle. They had all sorts of training and shooting events at the 300 yard range. I was not even a member. Then it all went poof!! Basically dead.
  3. Anybody know for sure? Is this cancelled or not? Thx.
  4. Anybody know the hours of this shop in Stockertown, PA. Thx.
  5. Yes I heard this on NBC, CNN, MSNBC. Opening Range 14 is going to wipe out The Joint Base, Cookstown and Browns Mills. We are all gonna DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are many old dudes (like me) that hang out at Range 14. Just think, Young Ones, if the old ones get IT, you will get a table sooner. No waiting. Sorry for the sick humor but I am just tired of all the experts and politicians and their expert opinions and their modeling. HAHA. The only accurate model I know of is the plastic F4 Phantom on the shelf in my family room. The half life of a CDC model is about 20 minutes. It wrong before the ink dries. I heart venting. LOL.
  6. Range 14 is ruled by the Base Commander. They don't have to obey/follow Murphy. The question: does the BC have any common sense?
  7. Thanks for the clarification to dajonga. Knowing only part of the law can be trouble!! Guilty as charged.
  8. May I add to the confusion. When discussing this subject don't just say guns. Rules are different for long guns and handguns. And how about this. If you have an FID card you can legally have a long gun in the trunk always, anytime, forever. No range or repair trips need be involved. No club membership.
  9. https://www.cisa.gov/publication/guidance-essential-critical-infrastructure-workforce That is the Federal guide. See PUBLIC SAFETY section. Murphy changed his tune after this came out. Gun ranges are also included. Peace.
  10. It is all pure bullshit. Private ranges closed. WMA ranges closed. All gun shops closed. Bullshit bullshit bullshit. Kind regards.
  11. Referring way way back to the beginning of this. Each person has to evaluate laws for himself. Decide which ones apply, that you care about, that you might get caught breaking, etc. So bottom line. I broke the law. I break the law. I will break more laws. Be careful out there. Kind regards.
  12. The 'long pits' are at Central Jersey? Not familiar. I do know John Donald there. I shoot his 300 Any Rifle and have done some Hi Power.
  13. No arguments. You are correct. Thanks.
  14. I am not being a wise ass but 300 is easy?? So you shoot 595 / 600 without a rest? Seriously how do you define 'easy' in a 300 match? I am only looking for help with my shooting. Thanks.
  15. I am chiming in late but anyway..... Some of the answers are jumping out a bit. You can't just gear up and hit the 1000 range. These are the basics for me. Get a good zero at 100. Get a ballistics chart for the ammo you shot. Then shoot 300. Then try an F Class at 600. Then work on 1000. You need a good scope with enough clicks to get to 1000. This gets expensive. I have done 600 so far and that was not a big deal. Except my scope was good only to about 850 yards. I even had a 10 moa biased rail which was not enough. The new scope cost about $550. (List $700.) You can find 300 at South Jersey RPC and Central Jersey RPC. F Class 600 at Cumberland, Millville, NJ. I will probably take a spring/summer trip to PA or WV to shoot 1000. That is all.
  16. The new Hornady tool is very sharp and crispy. Pockets are shiny brass. Still not getting much depth but results definitely better and acceptable. Kinda depends on brass mfgr. I think the moral is -- check your tools and don't use if worn out. So basic and obvious yet here I am!!! Now I have to go check my case trimming tool. LOL. Appreciate the help Gents. You guys are good!! Keep em in the 10 ring.
  17. Lake is 118, 116, 120 (3 samples) Federal 117, 120, 119 GFL 120, 121, 119 Tool hard to measure, maybe 115 BUT looks awful at x30 mag. Edges are not sharp. I ordered a new tool and I bet that will do it. Anyway what depth are you getting for an installed primer?? Really appreciate your help.
  18. Yes one is a cleaner, one is uniformer and then a reamer. Actually only need the reamer for crimped primer brass.
  19. I reload 223 with CCI #41 mil primers. Seem to have trouble getting depth especially with Lake and Federal brass. Lucky if they are -.001 or -.002. Sometimes +.001 or +.002. Primer pockets are thoroughly prepped with three tools. I use both a hand tool and my press inserter gadget. There is no mil crimp problem here. So what depth should I expect and how do I achieve that? I have no such problem with 9mm or 308 WIN. Thanks for the help.
  20. I will always happily pay the gas and tolls to buy in person in PA or DE or anywhere. Part of my screw New Jersey policy. Yes I will cut off my nose to spite my face!!
  21. Pretty much agree with both points. But telling the cops I was hunting with 308 HP won't fly. No 308 hunting in NJ. To / from range no problem. But then you have the accidents, f ups and so on. And the big law enforcement sport in NJ is crucifixion. I just wanted to simplify. No HP in vehicle = no problems with cops.
  22. I reload (223) 68gr HPBT and (308) 168gr HPBT. Being in NJ I would like to stop this. So what performance bullets are NOT HP?? And who says which are which?? Does it have to say 'HP' on the box?? Example. Hornady ELD MAtch. Hole in tip with chunk of red plastic stuffed in. The hole is hollow, no? Thanks for any advise.
  23. Here is what is important. This is from Global Warming.... oh I forgot, there is no warming so it is from Climate Change. I need a big carbon tax to keep me sassy. Please stop breathing and farting. Bad for the polar bears.
  24. He didn't just THINK it, he SAID it. Read the news. Your logical approach has no place in the Blue Philosophy.
