  1. As a singular event, your right. However, the more states go in that direction, the better it will be for everyone. The only argument antis have against constitutional carry is that the states that pass them are nuts or "back woods hillbilly". As more and more populated ("civilized") states go constitutional carry the more the table turns. Before you know it only a few states aren't constitutional carry and they look like the crazy ones. Social acceptance determines what is crazy and what is normal. It never ceases to amaze me, how stupid their statements are. If pressure was all it took to pass gun laws and to increase sales, they would have done that years ago.
  2. I would assume it would have to be next season. The filming for this season should have been done last year. It takes time to cut/edit/compile advertise etc.
  3. Congrats! Looking back at my wedding, I should have done tents outside with a catering service. Then used all the money I would have saved for my house. Ahh, hind sight is always 20/20...
  4. In addition to that FL only accepts FL non-resident CCW. So if you want to carry in FL, like myself, you need it.
  5. Besides breaking the law this guy is stupid. She should have put his taser and knives in his center console while driving. I doubt the LEO would have gotten a search warrant on sweating and nervousness. just my .02
  6. I just did my class at personal defense solutions which use off duty LEOs to do the finger print cards. I'm sending out my VA & FL packets tomorrow, so we will see what happens.
  7. lol Happy Birthday to both of us then
  8. Well they only made 2 changes to the whole document: [i.] i. "Machine gun" means any firearm, mechanism or... (4) A semi-automatic rifle with a fixed magazine capacity exceeding [15] 10 rounds. Come on now, anyone who puts out a press release talking about 31-round "clips" for a 9mm Glock cant be expected to know what they are doing.
  9. Yes, technically. If the weapon is functionally completely different from one on the list this should catch that: However with that being said the "substantially identical" (SI) standard would have to be applied to every weapon not on the list, because (according to the law) the SI standard will determine what is and is not a clone.
  10. LMAO, that video is some good stuff. I'm going that pass that around lol
  11. Since the MAK-90 was just being discussed in the other thread I thought I would put this out there for discussion. http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2011/02/clinton_township_police_say_th.html
  12. I was going home after work at 5:00, saw the Helicopter zigzagging over Rte 202 and I knew something bad happened. My condolences to the family.
  13. Correct me if Im wrong, but don't most bulletproof vests stop at the bottom of the rib cage? If that's the case and she was shot in the stomach how did her vest save her life? Its good to hear that she should pull threw. The LEOs should have just left that scumbag on the road to bleed out. just my .02
  14. I would classify myself as a general DIYer. I do pretty much everything roofing, drywalling, framing, plumbing, mild-electrical, general automotive (everything short of a complete engine rebuild), pc building, mild wood-working, etc. Im still new to firearm owning, so I haven't done anything other than field stripping and cleaning. Recently my brother gave me his AR upper after getting another one, so I'm researching the lower build and will start that soon. I have no experience in metal working, so the extend of my firearm work will be with bought parts. I hope in the future to do a bolt action mil-surplus rebuild.
  15. Overall that laptop looks ok and has gotten decent user reviews from what I can find. Really it depends on you intended use. If its just for surfing the net, then just about any laptop will suit your needs. On the other hand if you want to game on it or do video rendering then that's another story. I would first determine what you want to do with it, set a price range then find 3 laptops that suit your needs. At that point research each of them to get the best one. I always look for user reviews as that will give you the best indication if the laptop is good or a lemon.
  16. What? If that was for 7.62x39, That's a good deal... P.S. The rest of the article was useless
  17. I factored $300 for a 160GB. Like I said I wouldn't go lower than 160GB for convenience reasons. If you think about it a 120gb drive will probably get formatted down to 110ish, then Win 7 is an average of 10gb plus office and any other programs you might want (nero, photoshop, etc.). Before you know it your down to 50GB of free space and the average FPS is around 7-10gb installed, so it limits how many games you can have installed at any one time. That's my gripe with that small of a drive.
  18. I don't see how a Nerf type toy that shoots ping pong balls falls into the category of "imitation firearms". I hope this kids parents do the right thing and fight this in court.
  19. I cant hear mine over my 3 case fans going full speed I have had my raptor drive for about 2 years now and I guess pc noise is just something I have gotten use to.
  20. Well now that we got the hard drive nailed down we only have to figure out the proccessor, motherboard, power supply, RAM, video card, the CD/DVD/Blue-Ray burner(s) and case Seriously though, I dont think a SSD is going to be in his budget anyway. I wouldn't use anything less than 160GB for a boot drive, so with up to 2K to spend a $300-$400 SSD eats up to much of the budget IMO. For budget reasons I would buy a Velociraptor instead.
  21. That is where my confusion is because Shall (to me) suggests that you must. So read it again with that word instead: 37 (ii) In addition to meeting the other qualifications for the issuance of a concealed 38 firearm permit under this section, a nonresident applicant must: 39 (A) hold a current concealed firearm or concealed weapon permit issued by the 40 appropriate permitting authority of the nonresident applicant's state of residency that recognizes 41 the validity of the Utah permit in that state or has reciprocity with Utah's concealed firearm 42 permit law; and From dictionary.com: shall    /ʃæl; unstressed ʃəl/ Show Spelled[shal; unstressed shuhl] Show IPA –auxiliary verb, present singular 1st person shall, 2nd shall or ( Archaic ) shalt, 3rd shall, present plural shall; past singular 1st person should, 2nd should or ( Archaic ) shouldst or should·est, 3rd should, past plural should; imperative, infinitive, and participles lacking. 1. plan to, intend to, or expect to: I shall go later. 2. will have to, is determined to, or definitely will: You shall do it. He shall do it. 3. (in laws, directives, etc.) must; is or are obliged to: The meetings of the council shall be public.
  22. I'm sorry, but I think it still affects/effects NJ: 37 (ii) In addition to meeting the other qualifications for the issuance of a concealed 38 firearm permit under this section, a nonresident applicant shall: 39 (A) hold a current concealed firearm or concealed weapon permit issued by the 40 appropriate permitting authority of the nonresident applicant's state of residency that recognizes 41 the validity of the Utah permit in that state or has reciprocity with Utah's concealed firearm 42 permit law; and The way I read it, you cant get a nonresident unless you have a resident CCW of another state that has reciprocity with Utah. If the state doesn't have reciprocity with Utah then you cant get a non-res CCW whether you have a resident CCW or not. I know that sounds crazy, but that's how it reads to me. Anyone have a Legal resource we could ask?
  23. Since we are bringing this back from the dead, I did a quick search and couldn't find any updates on this case. I guess he is still waiting for his day in court.
  24. Great, I guess I'm back to going for the Florida Permit.
