could be, but im watching the video's and it's working just fine. i'll just run a few virus scans and malware afterwards.. Maybe a WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK (MAY CONTAIN SPAM/VIRUSES/MALWARE. I did a quick google search, I didn't see anybody claiming that site distributed spam or malware. Still, watch at your own risk is probably appropriate.

Well that guy definitely got what he deserved in my opinion, but that was a little close for comfort. She could have just as easily shot the victim. The Chinese police dont have snipers?

'Big Mexican women' aid Afghan deserters network
Drew replied to 71ragtopgoat's topic in General Discussion
Wait, let me see if I got this straight. We bring Afghan military here to the US, who we cant be sure aren't at least terrorist sympathizers, to teach them English. Then we give them passes to leave the base and meet up with these BMWs who help them go AWOL and teach them how to move about the country with out IDs. Who in the hell thought this was a good idea? Only in America, I swear -
Arrow strikes Bridgewater 7-year-old girl in face
Drew replied to 71ragtopgoat's topic in General Discussion
Bad timing for this to happen. Aren't they considering a bill to shorten the distance a person can bow hunt from any residence? Hopefully the little girl will be ok. -

Will a Petty Disorderly Persons Offense prevent me
Drew replied to jgofnj's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Im not an expert, but i think you will be ok. If anything you will get a phone call from your PD asking you to explain. At that point simply tell them what you told us and you should be fine. I am of the mindset that you only answer the questions ask of you, nothing more, nothing less. On my FID I answered no to all those questions and I got a call about 2 months later asking about a restraining order court case that popped up in my background check. I told them that it was thrown out for hear-say and thats why it was not on there. They informed that they didn't have the verdict for the case in the background check (something about Somerset court not reporting the verdict blah blah blah) so it would take a couple of extra weeks to get a certified copy of the court records. A couple weeks later I got my FID + 1 pistol permit. -
I never go to the movies, I'm too cheap to have HBO or rent or buy it on CD. I wait until movies come out on channel nine. Usually takes about 3-4 years before I see a new release. Channel nine rules, they play a lot of spookey stuff. torrents... thats all im going to say about that.

Seeds are a very good point. I guess supplemental vitamins would be a good idea as well. Not to mention you could gather food, by hunting and trapping. I agree that you should get to know your neighbors and band together. If they piss you off you could always resort to cannibalism

I have a few friends who are survivalists, but even they dont have a stockpile of anything. It is be extremely cost prohibitive to be completely prepared. I would say that some provisions wouldn't be a bad idea, like a water purifier, dehydrated food and 500 rounds of your choice ammo. Bottled water is a huge waste if you ask me. It is easy enough to come by in NJ, you just need to purify it. A lot of survivalists go way overboard spending large amounts of money to try and retain the same quality of life during a catastrophic event. Thats impossible and stupid. Only millionaires have the kind of cash to make that happen. If I had the cash I would plan for basic essentials to get you buy for like 3 weeks. If it doesn't turn around by then you have other options. Most survivalists consider a catastrophic event to be "inevitable". This would include economic collapse, nuclear terrorist attack, astronomic event etc. When that event happens they expect that anarchy will over take civilized society.

My friend Craig has the larger version of this safe (36 rifle) and he loves it. He got his from http://www.tractorsupply.com/ and if you look at their reviews, they are all very good.
-
Yea, I found a couple of places on line that do it, but I was hoping to find someone local that has good reviews. Im more worried about getting the parts back screwed up.

So Im still trying to get my ducks in a row for a gift I plan on giving to my brother. I plan to buy a Pietta 1851 Colt Navy US Marshall percussion revolver and convert it to 45 Schofield. The two issues I have at this point is that I will need to have a bullet channel created and have the kirst konverter cylinder and loading gate plated to match the revolver. I have read the reviews on the local gunsmiths mentioned here, but do any of them do plating or is there a plating service locally that people have used? Im curious about this too actually. Do the firearms to be inherited have to be specifically left to a named person in a will? P.S. Assuming there is more than one recipient of the estate.

Does everyone need to be electronically printed now?
Drew replied to Caine's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
My wife just picked up her papers yesterday and Flemington is now requiring electronic finger printing. -
Well that was written for a store front so unlike your home, you may not have firearms, your personal property is not at stake and you would not have to worry about your family as they are not there. Like Damagedworld said, it is impossible to have a "one size fits all" solution.

I loved this movie too. I like how it went into more aspects surviving WWII than most movies. A good balance of action and story.

How many of you keep HP ammo at home for home defense?

My secondary mag has hollow points, but my primary mag loaded in the XD is Federal EFMJs. -
Would it be a complete disaster to have the girlfriend shoot
Drew replied to Matt's topic in General Discussion
I would hope it was the XD, it would scare me if she shot 150 rounds from the Arisaka and not complain about her shoulder. I dont think I could afford for her to shoot 150 rds threw the T99. She shot the T99 twice and looked over at me asked if she had to shoot off the rest of the mag -

Drew replied to Matt's topic in General Discussion
My wife shot my XD .40 S&W her time out and she loved it. Out of the WASR, XD and the Arisaka she shot the XD the most (150 rds or so).
