  1. as you can see.. you have a bow hunter.. who is LEGALLY using his bow.. to hunt in the woods.. and a bear got WAY too close.. he panicked and fired... they state if he acted in self defense he will likely not be charged.. so i furthe state.. if i am on land where it is reasonable to have a firearm such as target practicing in the woods.. and a bear shows up out of nowhere and you shoot it.. i find it unlikely you will be arrested and charged.. I would agree, however no judge is going to believe that you where target practicing wearing waders and a vest
  2. lol, obviously I misread it the first time threw. Never the less I still don
  3. dont see anything saying that he can NOT "target practice" AND fish at the same time.. The only problem I see with that is that you would then have to be fishing on the shoreline of property that you have permission to hunt on or be on public hunting land. Even then you better have the cash for a good lawyer, because I think your going to have to justify your actions in court. In my opinion that's a case not worth fighting. To my knowledge no one in NJ has ever been attacked by a bear. Your better off just carrying that big can of bear mace as I believe that is only a max of $100 fine.
  4. Roger that. It's specifically noted in the statutes that temporary transfers at a range do not require FPID as long as the club/range is on charter with the NJSP. I remember going to Ft. Dix a number of years ago with my cousin, they only required the person renting the table to have a FPID card. They didn't check anyone else.
  5. Personally I have been pulled over more times than I care to count. I have a bit of a lead foot , but I have not been pulled over with firearms in the car yet. When it does happen I won
  6. 7.7 x 58 Yea it is definitely fun to shoot, but the ammo is expensive. I

  8. Hello everyone. I already posted NJ Law, but thought I should introduce myself. I
  9. I see. The only reason I thought to get the original, is because at the bottom of the form it states "White copy is to be retained by the transferor... Yellow copy is to be retained by the receiver" which would suggest that this was written for carbon copy paper. Mind you im not paranoid, however with this particular rifle I wanted to do this transfer by the book. The WASR already appears to be on thin ice in NJ. I guess I should have zoomed in on the bottom of that form huh? Thank you for pointing that out. I will use the internet form then.
